Caddy Camper Pt 8 - Fitting the sink
In this video we fit the tap and sink system to the Caddy. This was a fairly simple process and would highly recommend using the John Guest 12mm push fittings as it made the whole install extremely simple.
Let me know what you think of the Caddy Camper so far down in the comments.

Hows your fuel economy with the car compared to untuned?
To be honest mate I haven't driven it enough to see a difference. With it being a second car it only comes put of the garage every so often and when it does its normally in dynamic so fuel economy isn't really what I'm looking at. I think I've done one long journey in it and it was about the same as standard 37mpg ish average over 180 miles
Have you or your friend have any reliability issues?
No, been great so far
Did you do a DSG adaptation?
Yea the TCU was tuned to
3:16 there is in fact an additional charge for DSG lmao
It cost more than if you have a manual but you don't have to but 2 separate products it all comes as one package and still har cheaper than any other tuner.
The washer fluid tank is obscenely small.
Go stage 2 you’ll be entering a different world !
Hi, Would you provide link to that gearbox insert please?
Eh didnt notice any real difference with it in. Now I dont race the car. But it sees spirited driving on most days.
But its still the pile of garbage bang and shit system lol...
what percent tint are the tail lights?
Not sure on exact percentage but it's just a light smoke
@@STLCarsYT thanks for the quick reply! your build is sick i’ve literally sat here and watched all your vids lol. as for the light smoke tints, is that just a vinyl wrap?
Ah thanks mate really appreciate it. Make sure to subscribe 😁. Yea its more of a vinyl than a tint. I am terrible with tint so this vinyl was a lot easier to work with.
@@STLCarsYT that's perfect as i was looking to vinyl wrap mine too, definitely subscribed 💪
thinking of getting springs, what size would you recommend?
It really depends mate. Easiest way is to get a tape measure and measure the distance from the centre of the wheel to the arch and then see how much gap it is to get it sitting nice. Best way is to go coilovers if you can strech to it as it give you the flexibility to adjust to get it perfect.
Did you have an upgraded heat exchanger when you tuned the car?
It's not a necessity for stage 1 but for stage 2 yea ideally you need to
Hey mate, love the roof was thinking of doing similar my self, what size battens did you get in the end?
Thanks mate, I think they was about 40mm but cannot remember exactly I'll try and measure them when I get chance to.
Was hilarious when I first booted it with 4 members of the family in my MRC stage 2 tuned B8 S4! They all screamed like kids on a roller coaster 😅 Wonder what'll happen if they're ever in my new (to me) C7.5 stage 2 RS6? Tuning these CAKA/CREC engines is all about the torque, nothing like a single pulley upgrade to easily keep within the powerband and not needing an upgraded heat exchanger (doesn't do harm to have one though). Looks like MRC have some decent competition now! Beautiful colour on the S5, although I'm probably a bit biased as the S4 is sprint blue and the RS6 Sepang blue. Even though the S4 is 14 years old she still scrubs up nice and gets a lot of comments from people when out and about. Enjoy!
Can't believe there are people still out there buying the "branded" ones at way more than 5 times the price of these cheap ebay ones. What's even funnier is the way they try and justify it on the forums. This was the first thing I did when I got my S4 a few years ago. Instant massive difference. 9 notes from fleabay! 🤣But the real way to get the DSG boxes on the S4/5 to behave is to get a TCU tune. I've had a TVS stage 2+ on mine for a couple of years now and it transformed the entire driving experience of the car. It was necessary as the car came with an MRC stage 2 tune already on it. Well worth every penny of the 600 quid paid for the TCU tune and I've had zero issues at all with the box since owning the car. People also fit the diff and subframe inserts but the danger is transferring NVH into the cabin.
The reason you pay more for “branded” is because you’re supporting small businesses from the USA or EU that pay their employees fair wages, and their company invested into creating a product that was copied by some Chinese company. Furthermore, 034 in particular and JXB make revisions to their products based on consumer feedback . Enjoy saving a few dollars, but don’t cry when the west collapses
I had this installed in my manual A5 quattro last year, ended up removing it after a month. It did tighten up the transmission and gear shifts but during every start up it will make a small clunk sound. I believe this was due to my adjustable engine mounts that are softer on start-up. So the transmission mount ended up being the stiffest mount and took the torque load during start-up. But as soon as I stiffened the mounts in dynamic setting, I started feeling the benefits of the mount. unfortunately my Audi can't be started in dynamic mode so I always get the clunk on start-up, which got more annoying than the benefits of the mount. But at some point I will probably re-install it when I upgrade to stiffer engine mounts.
You need to add a cat back exhaust on that. I’m glad your doing launches on your S5, I’d never abuse my car like that.
It already has a full custom cat back exhaust. It's not really abused it doesn't get driven hard and they are made for launching 🤘
Hardly abused ....
What cf mirrors are they?
They are from carbon accents.
How much was the mrc tune????
I'm not to sure to be honest, it's my friends car.
Watched this and did my passenger door speaker at the weekend. Thanks for the tutorial video.
Hey STL. Great video. Seriously considering the same upgrade. I believe we have the same car and I was wondering: 1) How does it behave in normal D position as against S and Manual? Also 2. I’m confused between what “stock locking SS on” is as opposed to the stage 1 tune you picked. Any ideas?
So in the CREC engine the Supercharger had a clutch the tune allows you to lock it so it's constantly engaged. In normal drive it isn't much different to standard. When in sport though it revs higher and changes much quicker.
@@STLCarsYT I see. Mines the CAKA engine. The convertible model. so may have slightly different tune options. Thanks and keep up the good work.
@@STLCarsYT is it also Ok to run this tune using normal premium fuel from UK pumps?
Yea the tune will be slightly different but it recognises what engine it is when you plug it in.
I run mine on 99 momentum from tesco
Where’s old alloys Sam . Ya want to sell buddy
Sorry mate I keep them as a spare set just incase I ever need them or I can put back to standard when I sell it
@@STLCarsYT fair point Sam . Can you remember where the gearbox mod came from cheers
Think it was just ebay mate, search something like 'audi gearbox insert' should fond loads of matches
what brake set up are you running? nice content btw, just checked out some of your videos 💪🏼
Thanks mate. There is a full video on the channel showing the brake set up install 🤘 its essentially ttrs brakes though.
Please keep the camera still.
Here in 2024
I’ve dmd you mate
ruclips.net/video/VFA5MTfojZ0/видео.html
What exhaust have you got on, it sounds nice but not too droney
It's a full custom exhaust. There is a video on my channel of it getting done, check it out.
Should be in the mid/high 3's on a nice dry road once you get the launch down! great content bud!
Thanks mate, yea I fully expect it to drop more, managed to launch better after your advice and got a 3.79 but was still damp so dry day should be in the 3.6s for sure. Just makes me want stage 2 even more.
@STLCarsYT what advice did jackal give you for launching? I'm considering their map too. Good content btw
Thanks man, when I launched on this I hadn't properly engaged launch control, once I did it launched spot on managed to get a mid 3s time out of it on stage 1 which is insane.
Ran another time today still on damp roads and managed a 3.79, it defo has more to give on dry roads.
Shame it started raining but breaking into the 3’s is still nice. Best I’ve gotten out of my s5 is a 3.66 since being MRC stage 1. Apart from us having different tunes mines a 2014 so it has a slightly different engine to yours (CGWC vs CREC), not sure how if at all it affects the performance. I did the runs in summer using V power and have since switched the momentum, with it now being winter hopefully the lower IAT will result in a better time so I’m going to try a few runs soon. Will be interesting to compare once you do some runs in the dry
Yea I don't think there are a true representation of what it can do. Damp roads were not the best and I didn't get the best launches. I reckon easily another few tenths to come off yet.
@@STLCarsYT Yeh, looking forward to see what it can do in the dry
Launches well & sounds nice 😊
I too have a 2015 Audi s5 7spd dsg… Am really in the market between 034 stage 1, or jackal… how is the support with jackal in terms of contacting and updates and etc
Absolutely amazing, you message Matt on Fb and he's back to you so quickly, they are still pumping out updates for the tune quite often which is great. Not had 034 so cannot comment but Jackal have been great so far.
@@STLCarsYT has jackal made improved launch control? Being able to set what rpms u want to launch at? Also ik 034 makes a great tune but they also do their best to make it very reliable, I daily my S5 I’m sure you do as well, is jackal promising a solid reliable tune?
@ioeonfn5551 so I don't actually daily my S5 and have only driven it about 5 times since doing the tune so cannot comment on the reliability but load of people are running with them now and not seen any major issues. They do selective launch now with their TCU tune.
Damn they raised the price within the last two days of me looking at it 😭😂 went from $650 to $810
I got mine for $570 in February
Ended up getting mine the same time during the 15% off sale. Needed the cable so it was like 750 total
Did Shaun have to get MRC to remove their map ? I know in the in the past the ecu has been locked and can’t be overwritten unless they remove it
No, just loaded it straight on
What size are the tips bud?
4 inch mate, 4 inch fills it nicely.
Looks great😊 Thanks
Thanks mate
I definitely need to get my mum back in the car now it’s tuned 👀
Definitely mate
This looks fantastic, I have a few questions. Did you get the B8/B8.5 S4/S5 Tune from the website? It doesn’t mention the CREC Engine on S4/S5. Did you get the Jackal Tuning Cable from their website? Do they ship from the US or is there a warehouse in Europe? Thanks man!
Hi mate, yes I bought the S5 tune, when you plug the cable in it automatically detects what ecu/engine code you have and then gives you the available tunes. With the cable they do ship to Europe, I used my friend as he already had one. Be sure to subscribe if you haven't already got more videos coming on the Jackal tune.
The CREC motor is only on the 16-18 A6, A7, and Q7
Not correct, in the UK S4/S5 from 2015-2016 have the CREC engines
Did not know that. thank you. How do you like the tune?@@STLCarsYT
No problem. Tune is awesome very impressed with it. Its seriously quick even just stage 1.
Compared to mrc stage 1 is there much diffrence ? Mines currently mrc single pulley. But i have purchased jackall sauce hopefuly installing tomorrow
We've had alot switch from them and be very impressed with the difference.
I haven't actually ran MRC my friend Shaun has, we will do a video on his car soon to see the difference between MRC stage 2 and JACKAL stage 2.
What’s the 0-60 now with the stage 1? Contemplating getting it whilst it’s on sale lol
Haven't had chance to do any just yet, weather has been rubbish, will be filming a 0-60 video once it isn't wet.
What specs are the original rotor wheels?( like ET,J,diameter)
19", 9J not sure on the ET mate.
are they 8 inch speakers 20cm???
Is Audi A5 2017 speaker the same?
Hi, can you tell me please part number for that pipe for supercharger? Thanks
Great wee mod done mine today 👌👌👌👌👌
My audi needs bigger spacers in the front and smaller on the back! Is Audi A5 B9 coupe. I have 20mm in the front and 12mm on the back
Hey mate, is this stock rear bumper diffuser or an aftermarket part? I'll be installing dual-side exhaust to my A5 S-Line (default with twin exhaust tips on the left side), and found out that the only dual side diffuser for S-Line bumper is for single-tip 🤔
It's the S5 diffuser mate, dual tip on both sides.
thank you so much. 👍👍👍
You are most welcome
Sounds sweet bro 😂
Is this a full Akrapovic system? Can I get this in the USA?
No its just the tips. The system is a fully custom built system
