- There is still a little too much drivetrain slop for my liking in my 2018 Audi S4. I went ahead and picked up a CTS Turbo transmission insert to see if it could help. In this video we install the part and then I provide you a very quick first impression while launching the car as well as driving the car at wide open throttle at a Stage 2 - E85 power level.

Short and sweet video, be grabbing one of these on the S4.
I love upgrades like these with super easy installs 👍🤙
Just installed on my Q5 Tdi, made a great difference! Thanks Adam!
You're very welcome!
I just installed the CTS Turbo insert a week or two ago and it's such a simple, cheap mod that makes a noticeable difference. No additional NVH here, either! Win / WIn!
Thank you so much for this! Was looking forward to it after the drive shaft video!
You're very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Been running this for 2 + years.
Works best when you are coming to a stop or leaving a stop. 3rd to 2nd to 1st gear shift and vice versa.
Dude has no clue what he’s doing.
Definitely need more inserts and tightening modifications 👍🏻
Hey man great vid!
I had a quick question and was hoping you could help out. I installed the cts turbo inlet and tuned my car with IE to stage 1 ECU and TCU. but then the car started making a clattering noise during low speed acceleration and then threw a cel with cylinder six and three misfire. I’ve since flashed back to stock and took off the cts inlet and put it back to make sure it was installed correctly and all the hoses were sealed properly. But the car is still misfiring cylinder 6 it says. It’s a 2018 s5 with 21k miles. Could you point me in any direction? I’ve reached out to IE to see if maybe the tune messed up the timing just waiting on a response. Thank you
First thing would be to be to scan your car and see if anything else comes up too. Next would be to inspect your spark plugs and your coil packs in 3 and 6.
@@VancityAudi thank you I will do that
Hey! I’m also from Vancouver with S5. I was wondering will this void my warranty ?
No, but software, aka a tune will.
Installing with impact without hand starting is a kook move bro.
Does it have ti ne 18 ft lb or can you get away with doing it snug
I'd recommend you follow the installation instructions just to be safe.
Did you re use the tty bolts? Thanks
Yes
Cool video but is that guy's hand okay?
He hurt it pretty bad a few days prior to filming this. It's all healed up now though. Thanks for checking!
Is it ok to install it without a torque wrench?
Yes, but it's always advised to torque your parts to spec.
TORQUE WRENCH 20 NM ???
20Nm only equals 15ft-lb
That slop save you gearbox +
Can you elaborate? Save you a gearbox, how so
one of the cheapest and easiest improvement for b9
Gee, I wonder who CTS ripped off with this insert...
LOL. You do realize all of these inserts look virtually identical and are all made the same way right?
