As Sinead says diesel PHEV makes more sense than petrol PHEV. Most commutes would be done on electric then those long blasts on the motorways would be handled by by the diesel. The best combination until an EV is introduced that can do 700 kilometres on a charge and top up the battery in 5 minutes.
these reviews are getting even better. Sinead doesn't seem to really care as much anymore, i like her ironic humour (like when talking about the ambient lighting, or the car figuring out which mode its in)
I think that diesel plug in hybrids offer the best of both worlds. You can drive electric on your daily commute or shopping trip, whilst having a powerful and economic diesel engine for longer journeys and for towing a trailer or caravan. The only thing that Mercedes got seriously wrong is the battery pack behind the rear seats. This might not be too much of a problem in the saloon version, but it is a serious problem in the estate version.
Great review. Let's hope they fixed the switch between engine and battery the c350e suffered from. Starter motor failure. Relatives car stopped and started 57 times in less than 6km on computer diags. 1k for part. Compressor for suspension failed on some of those too within 3 years, like on relatives. Close to 800e for part. . Wonder if hybrid weight a factor.
Great review as ever Sinead, admittedly it's a very expensive hybrid and so not for me but I just wish as a current diesel driver that more of the hybrids had the option of diesel as their other power source as opposed to all of them being petrol as I'd be more likely to think about one as my next car due to the travelling that I do on my daily commute.
I have an estate version of this. Absolutely love it because 95% of my driving is in the city and I plug it in every night. If you put it into sport + mode it has absolutely bonkers acceleration. 300bhp. 720Nm torque 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds. Nice for overtaking or once or twice to put the boy racers back in their boxes. Big and boring and slow Mercedes Benz. I don’t think so……
Recharging batteries continuously (hybrid cars) will dramatically decrease the batteries life. So, this not genius at all perhaps very counter-productive
Diesel hybrids are the only hybrids that make sense.
its nice of you to show off this lovely car
Great review, nice to see you back Sinead 😁
Love the Zoolander reference. “Ridiculously good looking” interior.
What's the range of a full tank when driving hybrid mode?. Below or above 1000km?

Too pricey for just a nice seat and plate name tag. I love your reviews. I felt in love with your beautiful accent and attractive smile and look.
#metoo
Nice to see you back looking as lovely as ever, Mercs crap thought trying to be green and forgetting the bog standard stuff 🙄
I was driven in one last week and if it's carbon neutral then there's nothing to complain about! An amazing car and perfect review ☘️
I want the E63 wagon version 😁
Diesel hybrid was already available on the previous model E300. Really disappointing when you get presented with stuff you know isn't true...

It has a Touchscreen!
The problem with hybrid cars is that they don't jettison the batteries when they are flat, like fighter planes jettison their external fuel tanks. 😅😅

Indian's guys won't be giving out Sinead is on this one.

Nice car good review 👌
Excellent video as always Sinead. My dream car, if you're feeling generous?
Car is as beautiful as you

White seats are easy to stain
