SD loop isn't necessarily the best choice, since it may overwrite earlier photos/vids you'd want to keep you have a lot of triggers/pics/vids later. The real problem is this cam only taking a 32GB max SD card (I wonder if folks have tried larger cards without issues?). 32GB is fine if all you're wanting are photos, but way too small for vids--esp. if you aren't checking the cam/pulling the card frequently. My Brownings can take a 512GB, although in most cases a 128GB is plenty. But 32GB is too small for cams taking 1080 video. This cam is superior to the Brownings in several respects (although certainly not vid/image quality); I can't understand why the card capacity is so small? It's not like that's some "high tech" feature?
I was disappointed with how grainy the pics are for such a highly rated camera. Your forced to pull the HD pic at extra cost. Also really dislike that I can’t mass delete pics received. 1 at a time is very annoying on an active camera.
also I despise when manufacturers interpolate their pics to bump their spec sheet (16MP my butt); it's very misleading to run a lower MP cam and make the files bigger through software just to sound like they are 'better'.
Customer support is terrible….bought two cams, had issue with funky pics on cam intermittently. Tactacam support instructed me to tap on side of new camera to fix sticking filter or shutter. Then wanted credit card number to get RMA number for return! Very frustrating experience with support. Ended up bass pro exchange it….i should have just dropped coin on reconyx
Horrible camera. I bought two last year and nothing but hazy pics. Brought them in and put them in bags of rice for a week. Fixed it for one day. Poor construction is slowing few and condensation into the camera. Spartan has Ghost for 144.00. Good bye Tactacam.
Very helpful review. Thank you.
You are welcome. Check out the other reviews for the app and share the channel if you can please and thank you
New to trail cam. Do you need an SD card if you do a cell Unlimited plan?
SD card is necessary for the camera to work. It is part of the startup process
Why does it ask for a postal code when it has GPS?
For weather information
GPS will tell what zip code it's in.

Does this camera work without cellular?
It will work as just a normal camera without cellular yes. You can activate and suspend the service at any time
Ok thank you! It’s asking me for a ssid and I can’t get connected to the app. I don’t have an ssid inside of my lcd cover.

When sent to the phone it's always at low resolution but they are great off the SD card. That's how they send them to the app.

@@fike301 I've never had an issue with tech support from them. Sorry for your experience
