I appreciate that my g! I feel like progressing in skateboarding is so different than anything else (takes forever to be consistent and some days you just suck so 🤷🏻‍♂️ lol).

I think it's that wide to prevent ankle rolls. It's a common design in low top basketball sneakers. Sometimes it doesn't work very well.

A little late but interesting to hear your opinion. I Do have a narrow foot aswell but didn’t feel the toebox being so wide.
I need à LOT of impact protection so I even put in some Footprint. That may have helped my foot feeling more secure. I had the suede ones too and they get a bit flimsey towards the end. They last forever. I think the flick is really good because of the high rubber side. Grips great and lasts. No comment on the sole and grip, that doesn’t bother me much. Given that it has a full cloudfoam sole and high sides it’s gonna be heavier, it makes sense. I just ordered the Tyshawn and it’ll be intresting to see if they can pair the Liberty cup.
    Cheers!
