Really useful! I have been making and selling boxes for years and learned a few useful tips there. Thanks :)
Thank you, you're a real pro, you deserve to make good money at shows. I wasn't thinking about the effect a thin kerf blade has on mitres, great tip
This is really helpful- great tips!
You seem much more comfortable on camera nowadays. Great to see!
Thank you! I guess it just takes time
I’ve been designing and building furniture for years, but you’ve opened my eyes to important considerations. 👀. Thanks, Lady ! ❤️
You are very welcome
Thanks for sharing those great tips, and I agree with another commenter, you are getting more comfortable in front of the camera. It must not be easy putting yourself out there but your beautiful and cleaver wood products sure are worth it. Much success going forward and best wishes with your new shop build.
Thank you so very much
A new shop. Exciting!
These are great tips! I’ve never made boxes in the past so this will help prevent some mistakes I’m sure I would have made. Thank you for sharing Skyler!
Hi Skyler,
I found those tips to be extremely valuable and appreciate the examples you provided for each of the tips. Nicely done 😊
Thank you
greetings from Southern California
Hello there
Thanks so much for this information. I am starting to make boxes, and these tips are great! Matching the grain is a great how too tip,
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent tip assortment!
I do think if you sold 3 in the first 1/2 hr you should bump the price…maybe start at 195? If they sell out that fast again, push it to 225, then 250. Doesn’t hurt to try!
Best of luck!!
Great point!
I am a photographer. I am a woodworker. I am nowhere close to your skill level. I enjoy everything you do and show us. I am a retired veteran and I work in my woodworking shop for peace and enjoy. I wish I had the spunk, did you show in all of your videos. God bless you. Enjoy your life.
Awww, thank you for your kind words and support
Good tips Skyler. Good to see that you are selling your projects. Where are the shows located that you go to?
This Friday I am doing the art walk in Portland, Maine
Another great video thanks for the useful tips.👍🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it
Good tips Thank You. 😉😉😉
You are very welcome
Could you plane or sand the warped lids to get them to lay flat?
Oh nice! These are super useful.
I often wonder why people don't do more finishing before final assembly. It seems like it's be so much easier. Sure, don't poly the mating surfaces or anything. But it seems like no one does it, then they get finish everywhere and end up with uneven results. I must just be missing something.
Thank you.
Wouldn't a miter be closer to the point with a 45.3 degree cut?
when you had your dewalt table saw, did your 45 cuts have a bulge in the middle? Btw, you do beautiful work and thanks for the tips.
Yes, it did. I realized was my thin kerf blade deflecting. Once I switched to a full kerf blade problem went away
What type of scroll saw do you have?
Pegas I don’t recommend it
