Good one ! We were on the set in 1960-61.. and by coincidence.. " The Wild Horses" shoot.. out in the nearby desert. The cast and crew lived at the Mapes Hotel, where my father was the Maitre D. He took care of all of them daily for months.. Marilyn too !

Bill's Garage is a virtual vinyl gold mine. Congrats on another nice haul. That "Wild in the Streets" soundtrack album is the way the jumped out to me. Same with "Friends" soundtrack by Elton John. That first Steve Forbert record is a good one too. Saw it in the pile at the garage. Not sure if it made it home with you. Awesome stuff JT. Take care.

Sorry about your Eagles.. its stings, doesn't it ! Suck !!! Purdy'a arm is so jacked up. He won't be in a game until.. maybe.. November ! You guys really showed up at the Super Bowl.. The Chiefs did the same thing to you, As us.. down by ten, and they come back... clearly, every great NFL team is an injury away from...big problems ! All this talk about Mahomes.. your defender pulled on his bad leg after that tackle, almost knocked him out of the big game ! That would have racked up 3 QB's in 2 games by Eagles defenders.. Mahomes made a heroic recovery.. I hate that guy !!! Haha.. ✌️

Wild in the Streets soundtrack has that killer song the Shape of Things to Come, which was covered by the Ramones. Great Traffic LP, always one of my faves. Hi JT. Spectacular detour to Bill's. It almost looked like someone had built a road on the surface of Mars! ... You didn't get 'Tracy' by the Cuff Links, with lead vocals by Ron Dante of the Archies. The cover of that Keith Jarrett album was very clean ... I was thinking the same as you; a lot of what I'd call fairly decent records, but you can't get them all ... I'm listening to Leon Russell at the moment ... This is a bizarre collection that can veer from 'Sheer Heart Attack' to '100 World's Most Beautiful Melodies' in the blink of an eye ... I used to have a Walter Brennan LP. I eventually donated it to a charity shop.
The vinyl on the Keith J LP was surprisingly.. not good. I will look again at "Tracy". My favorite Leon Russell albums are.. Asylum Choir, Shelter People, Carny ! They are all good, though.. In the winter the high desert here is very stark.. The Truckee River was next to that road I was on, it winds it's way to Pyramid Lake.. look that one up if you get a chance. ( 33 miles north of my house ). North Tahoe is less than a 1 hour drive.. south west.
When I see you digging at Bill's, I feel like I'm watching an episode of American Pickers. I love seeing Joe Ely, Frank, Crazy Horse, John Prine and some nice Led Zeppelin picks. Also the best Vanilla Fudge album. Watch out for wild horses.
Can't get too close to them , could end up with hoof print scars, or worse ! They roam free here.. Have you seen Tuco's latest video's? He wins, for sure ! LoL !! ✌️

With such an awesome source as Bill's garage, you should never say it may be the last time. You have got some really great records from his place and you can't beat the price either. I had no idea Joe Ely opened for The Clash, now that would have been a great concert since I'm fans of both, but I never thought of them playing at the same concert. Awesome! Beautiful copy of The Song Remains the Same, like you say, it's a hard one to find in such great condition. Love that Dave Davies album, that's another one I need to find a good copy of. Congrats on finding that OG of Love, amazing record. I definitely paid more than $6 for my copy of that one. Aum, that sounds quite interesting. Love that Tetragrammation label, it brings back memories of many moons ago. That's my favorite Judas Priest album, love their version of Diamonds & Rust. Once again, awesome picks. Your collection must be chock full of gold by now!
I was shocked when I saw Forever Changes ! I have the first album..75 Cents for that one ! It plays like a dream ! I didn't clean it, and it is quiet ! Dave Davies was a great find as well..I spun Judas Priest yesterday, and I know realize why it's about the best Priest ! I did not have Presence either ! Aum is a good one too ! Wow JT, great haul. Nice Joe Ely, Crazy Horse, Vanilla Fudge and Bowie. I got maps up to see where Sparks is. Amazing seeing all those towns l only know through Slim Whitman, Johnny Cash and Frankie Lane songs. I was at Fort Bragg in North Carolina for a while but didn't really have the time or dollars to go far beyond Fayetteville 😢 such a vast country.
Lots of recent history here..1850- present. Entertainment, Cowboys, and Indians.. Virginia City is 40 minutes from my home ( Gold and Silver strike ).. Mark Twain lived there. " The Shootist" John Wayne's last film was done in Carson City ( our Capitol) he is my Uncle Fred's first cousin, by the way.. Sparks was named for the Transcontinental Rail Line ( Southern Pacific ).. The Sparks that fly when the Train Brakeman stops the Train , and Sparks fly from the wheels on the rails !! I could go on and on.. Mom was an entertainer in Las Vegas and Reno.. and Dad was a showroom Maitre D !!
When Johnny Cash wrote " I Shot A Man In Reno, Just To Watch Him Die" .. he had never been here.. just the folklore of this town and the wild west in general !

I am proud of my upbringing.. my father introduced me to many celebrities in the 1960's and 1970's in Las Vegas.. fun town to grow up in as a teenager. I'm really enjoying your visits to Bill's house. I saw Bobby Womacks Communication album in the pile but think you passed on it? I know you can't buy everything there but if you don't already own & need more Bobby I would get this overlooked LP next time.

I think they cut that record shortly before Danny Whitten Died, and of course he was not with Crazy Horse at this point. great dig.. 220 Bucks for 35 records ! She was curious about the nude beach so being a horny gentleman, I took her down there. That night she performed at U.C.S.D. and had me stowed away backstage. I'm currently reading Simple Dreams by Linda Ronstadt and Linda mentions her friend Maria fondly. Yes, just like Doug Anderson, I also want to organize Bill's records. You should buy the Wild In The Streets OST. Good exploito psych lp. Been after a clean OG Forever Changes for nigh on 30 years. I am slightly bemused by some purchases... Culture Club for example. Each to their own of course. This guy could have some mega rare private press lps stashed away in there and I'd be doing my utmost to try and get through as much as possible and ignore all the mainstream lps.

I have scored some fantastic( and rare ) records in the last 6 trips to Bill's house ! "Wild In The Streets" over here is a 5.00 record since you are talking about value.. funny though, I made a thumb nail of it and will put it up now, on your suggestion, and next time I will pick it up ! Aum is a highly searched for record.. Proto Metal.. really just hard blues rock. Love takes the cake !! And I have another copy of "Tonight" from Bill.. but had to have this ultra clean one in the shrink !

Sin After Sin would be my choice.. glad to have Unmasked, though.. It is interesting how Tull won that night ! They were proto metal, and when Martin Barre created that heavy sustained guitar tone in 1971 on " Aqualung," it influenced so many bands to come, just like Sabbath did. For me, the Grammy people gave it to Tull for the history and origins of metal.. Metallica won the very next year anyway.. should they have won, sure.. but I like that they recognized where metal originated.. Blue Cheer, Sir Lord Baltimore, Sabbath, Tull, and .any other Proto Metal bands.

Good one ! We were on the set in 1960-61.. and by coincidence.. " The Wild Horses" shoot.. out in the nearby desert. The cast and crew lived at the Mapes Hotel, where my father was the Maitre D. He took care of all of them daily for months.. Marilyn too !

Bill's Garage is a virtual vinyl gold mine. Congrats on another nice haul. That "Wild in the Streets" soundtrack album is the way the jumped out to me. Same with "Friends" soundtrack by Elton John. That first Steve Forbert record is a good one too. Saw it in the pile at the garage. Not sure if it made it home with you. Awesome stuff JT. Take care.

The Chiefs did the same thing to you, As us.. down by ten, and they come back... clearly, every great NFL team is an injury away from...big problems ! All this talk about Mahomes.. your defender pulled on his bad leg after that tackle, almost knocked him out of the big game ! That would have racked up 3 QB's in 2 games by Eagles defenders.. Wild in the Streets soundtrack has that killer song the Shape of Things to Come, which was covered by the Ramones. Great Traffic LP, always one of my faves. Hi JT. Spectacular detour to Bill's. It almost looked like someone had built a road on the surface of Mars! ... You didn't get 'Tracy' by the Cuff Links, with lead vocals by Ron Dante of the Archies. The cover of that Keith Jarrett album was very clean ... I was thinking the same as you; a lot of what I'd call fairly decent records, but you can't get them all ... I'm listening to Leon Russell at the moment ... This is a bizarre collection that can veer from 'Sheer Heart Attack' to '100 World's Most Beautiful Melodies' in the blink of an eye ... I used to have a Walter Brennan LP. I eventually donated it to a charity shop.
The vinyl on the Keith J LP was surprisingly.. not good. I will look again at "Tracy". My favorite Leon Russell albums are.. Asylum Choir, Shelter People, Carny ! They are all good, though.. In the winter the high desert here is very stark.. The Truckee River was next to that road I was on, it winds it's way to Pyramid Lake.. look that one up if you get a chance. ( 33 miles north of my house ). North Tahoe is less than a 1 hour drive.. south west.
When I see you digging at Bill's, I feel like I'm watching an episode of American Pickers. I love seeing Joe Ely, Frank, Crazy Horse, John Prine and some nice Led Zeppelin picks. Also the best Vanilla Fudge album. Watch out for wild horses.
Can't get too close to them , could end up with hoof print scars, or worse ! They roam free here.. Have you seen Tuco's latest video's? He wins, for sure ! LoL !! ✌️

With such an awesome source as Bill's garage, you should never say it may be the last time. You have got some really great records from his place and you can't beat the price either. I had no idea Joe Ely opened for The Clash, now that would have been a great concert since I'm fans of both, but I never thought of them playing at the same concert. Awesome! Beautiful copy of The Song Remains the Same, like you say, it's a hard one to find in such great condition. Love that Dave Davies album, that's another one I need to find a good copy of. Congrats on finding that OG of Love, amazing record. I definitely paid more than $6 for my copy of that one. Aum, that sounds quite interesting. Love that Tetragrammation label, it brings back memories of many moons ago. That's my favorite Judas Priest album, love their version of Diamonds & Rust. Once again, awesome picks. Your collection must be chock full of gold by now!
I was shocked when I saw Forever Changes ! I have the first album..75 Cents for that one ! It plays like a dream ! I didn't clean it, and it is quiet ! Dave Davies was a great find as well..I spun Judas Priest yesterday, and I know realize why it's about the best Priest ! I did not have Presence either ! Aum is a good one too ! Wow JT, great haul. Nice Joe Ely, Crazy Horse, Vanilla Fudge and Bowie. I got maps up to see where Sparks is. Amazing seeing all those towns l only know through Slim Whitman, Johnny Cash and Frankie Lane songs. I was at Fort Bragg in North Carolina for a while but didn't really have the time or dollars to go far beyond Fayetteville 😢 such a vast country.
Lots of recent history here..1850- present. Entertainment, Cowboys, and Indians.. Virginia City is 40 minutes from my home ( Gold and Silver strike ).. Mark Twain lived there. " The Shootist" John Wayne's last film was done in Carson City ( our Capitol) he is my Uncle Fred's first cousin, by the way.. Sparks was named for the Transcontinental Rail Line ( Southern Pacific ).. The Sparks that fly when the Train Brakeman stops the Train , and Sparks fly from the wheels on the rails !! I could go on and on.. Mom was an entertainer in Las Vegas and Reno.. and Dad was a showroom Maitre D !!
When Johnny Cash wrote " I Shot A Man In Reno, Just To Watch Him Die" .. he had never been here.. just the folklore of this town and the wild west in general !

You should buy the Wild In The Streets OST. Good exploito psych lp. Been after a clean OG Forever Changes for nigh on 30 years. I am slightly bemused by some purchases... Culture Club for example. Each to their own of course. This guy could have some mega rare private press lps stashed away in there and I'd be doing my utmost to try and get through as much as possible and ignore all the mainstream lps.

I have scored some fantastic( and rare ) records in the last 6 trips to Bill's house ! "Wild In The Streets" over here is a 5.00 record since you are talking about value.. funny though, I made a thumb nail of it and will put it up now, on your suggestion, and next time I will pick it up ! Sin After Sin would be my choice.. glad to have Unmasked, though.. It is interesting how Tull won that night ! They were proto metal, and when Martin Barre created that heavy sustained guitar tone in 1971 on " Aqualung," it influenced so many bands to come, just like Sabbath did. For me, the Grammy people gave it to Tull for the history and origins of metal.. Metallica won the very next year anyway.. should they have won, sure.. but I like that they recognized where metal originated.. Blue Cheer, Sir Lord Baltimore, Sabbath, Tull, and .any other Proto Metal bands.

There are quite a few, actually.. you guys have the soft water out east though.. a big factor in Pizza dough, and Bagels. Our water is hard, here out west.. it makes a difference.

Beyonce may have the most grammy's but she has the least amount of hits her only hits were with Destiny's child and that one hit with JZ If I was going to buy a calendar I would get Beyonce or Jennifer if I was going to get an album I wouldn't get theres.

@@jtsrecordroom3963 I only take my debit card with me when i'm on vacation for the week out of town. I put it in the wrong place but I will go over it again. Jennifer has a pretty face Rob Halford has talent , Steve Clark , Gene Simmons they have talent.

I know what it takes to put together an album, for instance.. actors wake up at 5am.. and have to memorize all of that stuff.. and perform, that's the big one right there, and, oh yeah... get criticized for their work, always!
