The skeleton dance is GREAT! I especially loved the ending with the crunch. :) Sorry for all the hours of frustration, but what you got still is amazing! My daughter's favorite part is when the pumpkins sing That House Wants to Eat You.

I agree... Halloween does need a revival. I remember being out with friends until at least 10 and we were all fairly young at that time (between 7-12). Many people decorated at that time too. Those memories are still with me and are responsible for me being obsessed with Halloween. We just moved to a neighborhood with many children so I'm hoping we get lots of trick or treaters. Last place we lived I got 2 one year and ZERO for the next 3 years! Come on people!
Tried to do the skeletons using motion capture wasting tons of hours, but the software needs more maturing. The old fashioned skeleton puppets still have a certain charm though. May keep them. What do you think? Like hand drawn animation vs CG.
I have a flying crank ghost. and This year I a purchased hallowindow and a cheap torpedo projector. But other than this I just have a few regular props.
It really depends on where you live. My parents have only a few families with kids of trick or treating age in their neighborhood, so those kids usually trick or treat elsewhere. My sister and brother on the other hand live in neighborhoods with TONS of kids and get between 300-500 trick or treaters.
Halloween needs a revival. I put effort in to my house on a nice family neighborhood and I'm lucky if 3 or 4 groups of kids come around all night. And they seem to think their is a rule about not coming before 6pm and not after 8pm. What happened to the adventure of Halloween?
I have a question. Is it all the parts (the dancing skeleton, singing jack-o-lanterns, giant house face, etc) seperate projections, or is all one big projection?
I have premiere pro cs6 (haven't really used it) and garageband. I guess i'm off to but Photoshop and after effects. I guess going overboard with master collection might be worth it in the end. now if i can just get a year off work to learn how to use it
Are you only using photoshop? are pumpkins custom animation and song? I do projection mapping with but with vj software and madmapper. Its not really the best for doing something like this which is really what i want to do but I know nothing about photoshop
Right, but start playing with Premiere first. I barely use After Effects. Premiere is very capable. My sorta new i7 Macbook Pro has made doing HD video a breeze. Photoshop is also not needed.. Just a full screen drawing program. Free ones will work.
9/19 did you ever have anyone that was dared to come to your door while the show was happening ?? did they ever try to walk on the driveway when that big spider walks towards them ??? that would be one funny Halloween !! I just caught some of the words , " that house wants to EAT you " lol nice touch !!
Would you be interested in me making a new song for you to use in your show?? I could do the music and everything and you could just add sound effects and do whatever visuals.
