Bates Haunt 2020 Halloween Projection Mapping Show

- Bates Haunt is a house that has been taken over by the spirit of Halloween. Giant singing pumpkins sing original songs along with flying ghosts and dancing skeletons in this unique family friendly projection based haunt. We have won several national awards since our start in 2002, including the nation's best yard haunt. We've also been featured in various media including Good Morning America.
Our show is also the longest running projection mapping show on a building in the world.
Sorry for the long time it has taken for me to get around to this new recording. Please enjoy our never released new song Angry Ghost as well as large enhancements throughout the show.

Seeing this in my subscriptions made my day! Absolutely LOVE the new song and enhancements. That last part where the house sucks up the slime made me chuckle a bit. Guess 2020 still has some good stuff going on, and this is definitely something I enjoyed watching. Been a fan for years, keep up the great work💀👻🎃

Thanks for your nice comments. I tried the iPhone 11 camera over my old Sony for most shots and it really was better (though they cheat on frame rate in a very unstable way) Someday I will get a camera that can do this without lots of digital processing like this, but for now it worked amazingly well. I had to darken the videos to prevent them from looking too happy ;-)

I CANT WAIT to see what you do this year. do you have a second channel that displays your christmas theatrics ? make a demon, perhaps jack o lanterns, hungry house perhaps, overall halloween type/themed christmas projection presentation this and every year. keep Jack skellington out of it. create your own twisted christmas time abomination and upload it to yt

What do you make your music with? That number at 19:11 is really interesting and I am curious how it was made. Nice new touch, by the way, among the other nice changes.
Thanks. The first two songs I made were in Audacity. Then I moved to Garage Band (the next 2 songs) and upgraded to Logic Pro eventually to do most stuff. So short answer they are all in Logic Pro now and I use Sibelius for composition. This was a fun song to make because it is all pretty much from scratch, even some of the instruments. What do you use?

What projector do you use?

Panasonic PT-AE3000U . See the faq at bateshaunt.com for lots of info. LCD is the only way to go, but I do want to upgrade to 4k and more lumens.
Looks good but man! Can you imagine if you had about 6000 to 8000 ANSI lumens!
I upgraded to 3000 and 4k this year. That really helped. I don't think I really need more. Hard to come by LCD projectors with more than 5000. The reality is that DLP projectors cheat on lumens. I won't touch a DLP with less than 10,000 lumens. A 3000 lumen LCD will beat the 7,000 DLP on real content most of the time.
@@TaylorsvilleStake Ya I am talking like 6000 ANSI lumens from 3xLCD. IE: Pro Cinema G6970WU or similar.
