  • Projection mapping is becoming more and more popular as projectors get brighter and smaller, but the skills required to program a projection show still seem pretty challenging. So with the help of my friends at AAXA Technologies I decided to tackle a more accessible method of projection mapping that can produce some theme park quality effects for even the most novice haunter.

Yes! Projection mapping isn't a new thing but it's becoming more accessible with a few companies offering out of the box kits. Glad you are showing ways to make your own scenes to work with the existing elements like doors and windows. It really makes a difference in the quality of the projection display when there is a level of interaction with the thing being projected on.

This was done as an image, not a video, so there's no MP4. Also, projection mapping is specific to the surface you're projecting onto. So I don't know that this would work for anyone else.

At 3:12 you're seeing the back wall of my shop. Everything from there on out is a projected image onto that wall. The door is a real door and the tree in the upper left is a real tree. It moves in the wind throughout the video.
