    So far, your channel seems to have the easiest, most consistently good info for people trying to understand this topic. Thanks for not making it sound like you've dumbed it down, and even make the mapping seem achievable for those without animation edition skills. And, I also could listen to you describe paint peeling off the walls. Very professional and nice voice adding greatly to your narration which seems unhurried and natural instead of scripted. And if it isn't scripted, even a larger kudos to you. Subscribing and thumbs ups!

    one thing about 4K projectors.. im writing this in May of 2023 and finding bright (4000 lumens plus) 4K projectors that are short throw is still tough.. I have found a few.. mainly Lamp based though a couple laser exist... another option if brightness is an issue and or partially resolution. or wierd shape to your house you can use a video wall controller and run 2 projectors side by side.. this would give you 3840 x 1080 Native pixels with 2 projectors side by side... this assumes your house shape is such that you dont waste a bunch of your image.. (best for sprawling ranch homes and not 2 story).. I own the projector noted in this video a few times.. the Optoma GT1090HDR, it does a really nice job on my house that is about 45 feet wide and single story with a couple roof peaks.. the image on this projector tends to be thrown Upward so the slight downward slope in my front yard makes it a perfect choice.. as well as the 0.5 throw ratio.. I have plenty of room to keep the box well into my yard away from getting kicked by people on the sidewalk.. I also find this projector really nice for using other times of the year than my holiday displays.. it works really well for work presentations even with the office lights on, and for displaying the first few warm night college football games on my garage door..being a laser unit I dont worry about the intense cold weather causing the lamp to crack upon power up.. it didnt seem to have any issues and doesnt make the inside of its enclosure too hot.. I also have a 4K lamp based 4000 lumen projector but I havent tried it outside yet.. that will be very soon

      Hi Christopher. Thanks for sharing all that great info. Glad you are enjoying your GT1090HDR and you offer some good tips for those struggling to track down a short throw laser option 👍

    Thanks for your videos and content. Seems like lots of folks are recommending projectors by BenQ or Optoma. I'm not opposed to either, but in reviewing specs, it seems like Epson has a couple contenders - L200SW and L210SF. They have a shorter ratio .48 and .45. Is there a reason that these aren't in the running as good options for outdoor mapping?

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  7 месяцев назад

      Epson is a reputable brand so if those models have good brightness specs and high enough resolution there's no reason they wouldn't be viable options. I think the house mapping community is a bit of an echo chamber so a few models bubble to the top as favourites and then those recommendations get bounced around. Good for you for throwing some alternatives into the mix!

    So many questions! First of all, I've been absorbing all you've been putting out in these videos and your website as I can. I'm thinking of dipping my toe into this for an indoor project. Our living room is two stories tall which provides a lot of canvas. Do you think it would be possible to mix a projector and a TV for mapping? Meaning, instead of 2 projectors, have one projector and one TV output. Wondering if you've seen this done.
    Second question - how best can we support you? Are your Amazon links affiliated so you can get something if we buy from them? (I just looked and you do! Well done!)

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  Год назад

      That’s in interesting question. Yes I think that could work although I’ve only used a tv as a display in mirror display mode. Worth a quick test I reckon

    Do you still recommend the 1090HDRx, or would the GT2100HDR or ZH450ST be a better choice now since they are newer?

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  11 месяцев назад

      Yes they would also be great choices. The discontinued models are now difficult to get hold of so these models will be taking over from them

    I have a wide home and will need to purchase a second projector. My question is, how do I get both projectors to show the same video and not have the second projector overlapping the video if that makes sense

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  7 месяцев назад

      Multi-projector set ups are definitely more challenging. I would recommend you pick a natural seam on the physical house, e.g. where two walls join, and design discrete content for each section. That way you shouldn't have overlapping video.

    Hi I need to get this done in my house for my daughter if any way that can it done this year?

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  Год назад

      I'd say the quickest way is to follow this ruclips.net/video/bSRmma36MgU/видео.html and then send the outlines to a designer who can sell you a pre-made show

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  Год назад

      As for whether it can be done this year, you will probably find the pre-made show companies are fully-booked or winding down for the year, but you might get lucky

      I know this is past time but if you want to do this for 2023, digital pressworks can turn around your requests pretty quickly if you want to use pre-made songs / content

      Yes, I think so. I know refresh rate and lag is a big thing for gaming projectors so I would do a bit of research into that
