ITS BEEN 6 months we need an update
2 years now
This has been my goal for so many years! I have an 82 2 door long bed.. I just bought a 5.3 and 4l80 for it. This one video took a lot of worry off my shoulders to know that it will fit!!😂😂
Im trying to do this to my OBS 2dr Tahoe.. do you have a idea what your going to do about wiring? A aftermarket wiring harness would be dope

Awesome work! I learned to drive, as a kid, in my dad's 84 crew cab dually. I definitely have dreams of building one as a cruiser/hauler, similarly in a retro mod style. Definitely subscribed and hope you can make the time to put some more videos together.

The skeleton part is NOT welded in, it is 4 bolts and you can pull the whole structure out of a 2016+ Silverado. We have a c1500 with a full 2017 Silverado dash it’s it is ONLY bolted in. That is incorrect information.
Just bought 2018 sierra denali seats and door panels last night for my k5 blazer. Planning on doing the dash soon too, this video has been a tremendous help! Repping NY brotha!!🤙

Gonna follow this build I'm considering building a square body to replace my 05 chevy 2500hd that I cummins swapped and it's got a nv4500 5 speed running the 263xhd push button 4x4 she was a Pennsylvania truck before I got it 2 years ago and she's got some cancer or maybe alot lol has been my daily for alittle over a year have put about 15k on it love the truck but looking into the future and trying to get a plan and your build is awsome!

Bring back the 2.4 turbo kits.
The dash wouldn't be so flimsy if you had gotten the cross bar that supports it. It is not welded in, it unbolts from the firewall and the side pillars.
Would of saved you a lot of work.

So what happened?!
i think I head you say g80 gov lock. I don’t know if that g80 is going to hold up. It’s good for normal use, but a few burnouts or weird traction situations and it’s toast.
I've never had one fail on our work trucks. I've heard this is possible if they are abused
My 05 chevy 2500hd has the g80 in it trucks got 326k on it still works perfect in fact tested on it last night had the ol nv4500 in 3rd gear and the 12valve cummins a hummin trying to get her out of a wet spot behind my barn she dug her way out gets serviced regularly and it hasn't missed a beat
