I do like how you have more room behind the engine with the 86 cab! Giving me more thought on a wrecked 06-07 and swapping cabs than using a 86 frame and all and trying to make it all fit and fab up mounts.
Been putting a lot of research to this exact build for myself. Any chance you have any videos of the build or at least let my know the set up? i would appreciate it. Yours is by far the nicest build on youtube and i think i have seen them all!! thanks Mike
@@chopshoparthow did u make the gauges work did u splice into the old cluster wires and and tie the digital ones how hard was it? Second question is that the oem harness or did u get an after market
Sweet now I have a start point ... I've got a 2004 sierra 2500hd with the big block 8.1 and Allison trans .. trucks got some rust on the body but runs like a top and the frame is good ...I've been thinking of going this direction for a while wasn't sure had it been done now I see ...awesome build
Absolutlely love that thing! Would love to do something like that within the next few years. Only thing I'd change is the tach. its a stock diesel, the max rpm itll prolly see is 3500, so theres not a point in having a 8000 rpm tach😂
How can I talk with this guy, me and my partner just did a Cummins swap in his 78 crew cab and we are doing the Lbz in my 89 crew cab, I want to know how to ease the process.
I had the original gauge cluster from the 2006 frame I just put that amount of miles on the Dakota digital you can set it to whatever miles you want right when you receive the Dakota digital gauges you can also send it in and have them reset it to zero
One of the best custom builds I think I have seen, concept and execution are top level
The interior work is incredible. That center console is awesome!
This build is completely Bad To the Bone! I’m in Love with that truck! You did a Fantastic job!
Thanks
This is an amazing build, there’s nothing I don’t like. What an excellent combination of old and new.
Truck so damn beautiful it almost brought tears in my eyes😍
This is one of my dream trucks !
Bro that truck is beyond awesome!!! 🤤🤤🔥

Sweet squarebody an that Duramax look like it's right at home under the hood

No I just have the picture slideshow videos they are in the older videos
Love them ol square bodies. And alot better than that boat anchor of a 6.2. Lol
Hey man that’s a beauty of a truck. Absolutely beautiful. I’m looking at a model like that to be restored.
Excellent idea, lad. Even using that Duramax engine in Chevy Caprices and Corvettes is a must. No more gasoline issues.
Not into the lifted 4x4 but your rig is CLEAN. Very well executed. Great craftsmanship. Rock on dude.
Thanks! It's not lifted though
@@chopshopart how did you avoid lifting it for the duramax set up?
@@Bigbam001 I mounted the bed is the lowest possible and then put the cab at that same height

Been waiting for you to post more. Love this truck
I love this truck. I wish I could convince you to sell it and I had the cash to buy it... Excellent work.
That’s the case here then?:(
There’s my dream. Awesome build
Damn, that’s a dream truck for sure.
Badass build I hope some day I will have time to put together a crew cab
Nice looking rig!!!
This is one of the coolest trucks I’ve seen. Imagine what people would be willing to pay for one of these.
Love this truck
Man
Interested in how you did the engine mounts. Sits lower than others I have seen and it’s super well done!

Sounds like a good platform to start from
Amazing job!! You’ve done exactly what I want to do with my ‘86 Crew Cab. Complete chassis swap! Roughly how much did it cost?
Best build that I’ve ever seen
Would you sell this?
I have the same one but it’s a manual Cummins.
One helluva good job. Beautiful truck
Awesome job! That truck is a beast!
Clean and Really nice 👌
Beast Mode
Would absolutely buy that truck if I had the money
Hey man, I'm just curious what seats are those? I got a 83 c10 that want to put a new set of captains in but I haven't found the right ones yet.
Clean👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Its nice. In the future I'm gonna put a cummins in my 84 c30. I'm also gonna convert it to be a 4x4
Button's do anything on the steering wheel?
Yes I believe so if I remember right like the Volume worked
🇺🇸That's a bad MAMMA JAMMA 🇺🇸
So did you lengthen the cab? Or chop the frame? Truck looks incredible by the way, love it. I’m just about to start one like this
Awesome

Until you need to hit 8,000 RPMs those gauges are made for LS motors too
@@chopshopart That makes sense, lol
Everything bout the truck is immaculate, i'm jealous😅😂
sits insane
Sweet
Dam good looking truck
So with using the steering column, did you need a stand alone wiring kit?
I want to do this to my 87 Squarebody chevy
Ya thats clean as hell
God damn man! What a beauty
That's a sexy fucking truck man
I was thinking of body swapping my 1999 suburban into a single cab long bed square body
NICE BUILD !!!!
Thanks! subscribe I'll be posting more
Is that a short bed or did you have to cut one to a special length
Shuch a beautiful truck man!!
Great job.
Curious on the price of this build!? I was wanting to do the same to my 81 Chevy crew cab
Gauges similar to the gmt900 trucks. Better than the digital ones
Wow nice work
Awesome I love it
Is there a way I can get ahold of you to ask some questions about the build
How much did it cost to make? what was the time frame the build as well?
Good job
Fantastic job!
Thanks! subscribe because I'll be posting more
@@chopshopart done. I’m getting ready to cut my frame as we speak.
@@Chadlistentome nice as they say ruining them 👍🏻😁
Do you still have it? I see another 3+3 no restomod in another video!!
No I don't
Hey James how do I get some info from u to build a truck
Hi, any interest in building another one of these for me by chance? I have basically the same two donor trucks. Let me know, very cool build
Sure, if you have Facebook search Miller Auto body I have a Facebook page with all the information on it
Good stuff
Where did you get that headliner because I've been looking for one for my crew cab for years
The headliner material was glued to the ceiling with a extra heat sensitive upholstery glue
What did you do for the wiring underneath the dash
wow
If you did sell it what would you charge to build another one identical to that
At least $40,000
Bro that is absolute sex on wheels
Nice
How can I talk with this guy, me and my partner just did a Cummins swap in his 78 crew cab and we are doing the Lbz in my 89 crew cab, I want to know how to ease the process.
He did a chassis swap. Not an engine swap.. I believe the squarebody is sitting on a 2006 frame and driveline
Any way that this truck is for sale? Man it’s what I want for sure!
I already sold it
How did you go about getting the headlights wired up? I’m planning to do this soon. Did you just use h4 to 9006/9005 adapters?
No I spliced the 1986 plugs into the 2006 chassis harness
@@chopshopart right on thanks! Would you be able to give me a description of what wires I need to splice into eachother
Don't remember I sold the truck like a year and a half ago
@@chopshopart no worries thanks though man appreciate it!
What would a building like this cost???
Message me on my Chop Shop art Facebook page
What kind of gauges are these and where do I get them
they said Dakota on the bottom. I'll be looking for those also man.
What did you do for the wiring to get it to start do you think I could use my stack sterling Collom
That's what I did
That's what I did
Not knocking a chassis swap, but how the hell does someone get the parts for that
It's just a combination of 2006 Silverado and 1986 stuff
Is this the truck James Miller built?
Yes
I want to do this myself but single cab long bed. Any tips?
Not really I have some experience in this type of work so I could guess I just jumped in head first and did it figured it out along the way
