- Sooo this is the first animatic I've made after literally 2 years sdcbhdh my editing is not the best, I made this in windows movie maker bc its all I have. When I first heard this song I imagined my character, Jason singing it so yeah--lmaO i hope ya'll liked it.

@@saraa8661 It's someone who fills the role of the hero, but is doing it more out of coincidence or an ulterior motive rather than "Because it's the right thing". Sometimes it's just a term for a morally ambiguous hero

I just noticed as well, when he pulls her in for the dance his voice increases in volume as well, like he's trying to block out the noise of the fighting. Very nice attention to detail holy s***.

It's the little details that I love. His immediate reaction to seeing her get up is he knows she can hear what's going on. So, he goes over to her to stop and distract her, and as the song and his singing gets louder his voice is all she can hear.

Well me and my friends were talking about how we liked the trope where a more dumb/polite character turns out to be the villain.
So I'm creating a plot where the main character is a sort of undercover agent, posing as this innocent character. Both the readers (i think) and other characters don't know from the beginning of the story, although it's hinted at quite a bit. Not too far in I want there to be a dramatic reveal, where you learn who the main character truley is, (where this song comes in).
It needs a lot more fleshing out, and story building, but I have been wanting to write a more intelligent villainous main character for a while.
If I stick with the idea I hope to make some sort of short story or comic (I'm mainly an artist, but I love writing too).

I kid you not when I say I'm in love with this animatic. In fact, this is probably the best OC animatic I've watched. I could go on about your artstyle and subtle lighting, but it's so much more than that. You managed to tell a story that is self explanatory while still making us curious to know more. Most OC animatics have stories that are hard to grasp out of context, not because they're complex but simply because we lack information. Yet here it's simple and efficient, it IS a short 4 minute story in itself that has the potential to be so much more. That's a perfect teaser. Not only is the song good, it's one you don't see many people use in animatics and you had the genius idea of making the character ACTUALLY sing it within the animatic, for plot reasons AND because it fits the atmosphere so well. You also have a good sense of cinematography: the shots are good and very fluidly follow each other, which makes it seem like a movie with slower moments, quicker ones, a suspense that develops itself and a tension that slowly grows and reaches its culmination in the last moment, when the singer seductively distracts the girl as his voice gets louder and his accomplice (his sister I imagine?) beats up her opponents to the tempo of the song.

Yes, I saw this oc animation a long time ago and I still keep imagining a mega elaborate story with a huge good plot not to mention the part about the accomplice being his sister, I had thought the same thing aaaaaaaaaaah I want a series of this for yesterday please I need this ksksksksk seriously this animation moved me and I need to know the outcomes it can take and if the author doesn't do it I'll go to his house myself and force him to do it ksksksks (sorry for the bad English, Brazilian with Google translator here 😅)

This is the song for the villain who used to be that hero who put everyone before their own happiness. They finally had enough and decided that if they would be seen as a villain for putting themselves first for once, then so be it. And they've never felt better.

Honestly, LOVE the animatic. With how nicely made it is, I can see this person being a top tier animator on day. Kinda sad I found this almost a year after it's posting (06/08/2021).

I like how its just made like a scene out of a film. He could actually sing this song just to catch attention. You barley find animatics like this without voice actors where you actually feel like... that they talk to you. Also the drawing is just amazing.

Ok so, Story Breakdown.
The guy with the sexy ass voice and the girl who gets the briefcase are partners in crime. They have a mission to steal the briefcase from the gangsters hosting the party (or who just happened to be invited). The guy’s job was to distract everyone at the party while the girl took care of everything else.
The guy spots a girl in the audience. She’s the most beautiful there, but she doesn’t know it. She’s having a good time at first, but she begins to get a bit anxious around so many people. He spots her troubled face and decides that if she’s going to leave, she should have a good memory to leave with. He begins to dance with her. All her troubles melt away looking into his beautiful golden eyes. Once the song is ending, he spots his partner holding the briefcase. The mission was successful.
Oh i thought he stopped the girl bc she heard noise and was going to spoil their mission by catching them. So he distracted her. But both go ig.

When I made this comment, it was simply because most people don't know that Simone was the original singer. They mostly know the Buble version, which makes sense because the original recording was released like what, 55 years ago?

The romanticization of stealth assassination in a feel-good atmosphere building while having nice music playing in the background.
It gets me every time and we see it time and time again in movies too
The animatic really seems to capture Buble’s style of music. Classy, charming, a silky voice of a gentleman, with a jazzy flair. It’s always great seeing what stories/ideas music can pull from someone’s imagination.

I friggin loved this. The juxtaposition between the dance and the killings was exceptionally well done, the setting was creative and super stylish, and the character designs were flipping fantastic. I'd love to see more of this snippet story here. You'd better believe I'd binge a webcomic or full animation of this!

Now *THIS* is a James Bond style song. It has the classy, suave, and coolness to it, with the addition of mystery and sultriness. Surpasses that Sam Smith song, it just didn't suit.

The algorithm sent me. The algorithm knows me well, for indeed I love intriguing characters, interesting stories, quality music and quality art. Need to know more about these peeps. I love Jason and his sister's (I'm assuming they're siblings since they're so similar in appearance) eyes so much and the way you revealed them so that they'd still be surprising and beautiful is brilliant. I've been writing books but always wanted to animate them onto RUclips or make a show of them but I don't have the art skills for YT or to make a pilot to pitch, though I've been learning in what free time I have so animatics of Inyoni, may she defeat a thousand more tanks.

This could be 4 things:
A. This is a hero deciding to be a villain and singing about how good it is.
B. This is a villain going through a redemption arc to become a hero, but decided to be an antihero instead.
C. The singer and the girl with the briefcase are spies taking from the gangsters, but the singer get distracted by a girl, but the girl with the briefcase somehow manages to swap out the briefcases successfully.
D. Teddie finally decided to get a gosh dang job instead of staying with Yosuke.
