- Hello Darlings! I've been meaning to make this video for a while since so many of you lovely viewers have asked how I keep my wet-set on a day-to-day basis. So, here it is! This has to be the easiest part of vintage hair styling, wrapping it up each night only takes about 20 seconds, no joke! I hope you enjoy the video and find some useful tips to help prolong your own vintage wet-set!
Lots of love,
Sage Xx

Congratulations on your RUclips plaque!! Much deserved. I recently discovered your videos and have binged watch them, lol. I’ve always always loved vintage looks and all of the glamorous eras. You’ve inspired me to finally go out and buy some authentic vintage clothing 🥰🥰🥰
I enjoyed watching this video. I had a not so good day and was a little depressed and when I saw your video popup on my phone I got excited. Thank you for making my day better today. :). I love your hair (fringe) in front. I like the way it curls and falls on your face it's so pretty. I had my hair cut like yours and for some reason when I curl it, the front doesn't look like yours. I must be doing something wrong.

Hey babe
All the looks are beautiful! I love how you made even the pony tail look vintage😍
Same it was super cute :D
I just started practicing wet sets. At chin length (with layers...sighs), it's still too short, to really to something with the result - but I figured, I could just as well start practicing the rolling techniques now.
It certainly takes a lot of practice, to get it right.
Yaaaaaay congratulations on the RUclips plaque!!! That’s so exciting! Also, it’s encouraging to see someone who can’t or doesn’t make their wet sets last a full seven days but redoes it or just doesn’t… bother 😂 I never could figure out how to make my curls last more than 3 days!
Thank you Kristina! 💕 haha somedays I just don’t even bother with my hair, too much effort! 😂😂
I love your style and how you wear vintage pin curls so beautifully. As a hairstylist I love the style and wish it would make a come back. I also only wash 2xs a week, you should try using the dry shampoo before bed. I find it absorbs oils and sweat when we sleep better than trying to brush it though same day. Love all you do.
CONGRATULATIONS! for your RUclips award! I watched this video with a smile as remembering how I bobby pinned my hair every night during my teens. My thick hair was always flexible & bouncy yet stayed in placed. Wish I had thought of the ideas you now use day-by-day. And oh, I learned to open the bobby pins with one hand vs teeth (my mother insisted!). Took a little practice, but I felt like I had won the bobby pin Olympics! 🤗
You have to teach us how to tie those scarves. I know if I tried it would come undone in minutes.
Congrats on your plaque!
Omgoodness! Congratulations! I clicked to watch as soon as I saw this one!
Love your videos! It’s like a walk back in time for a moment. ❤️ Thank you for a lovely experience, as always!
I absolutely love how you do your hair! I was so happy when I got the notification that you posted a new video! ❤️
CONGRATULATIONS SAGE!!! ❤️💚
Congrats on 100k! The curls kept so well! Also love your jumper on day 5😍
Congratulations!
Oh my you always answer all my vintage related questions ! Thank you!!
Congratulations on your numbers 👏 I suspect they'll keep growing, make room for more plaques.
I adore your vintage fashion and hair styling vlogs and am longing to see how nails were cared for and worn during the different decades as well as the different jewery pieces that were worn and how. Your research is beautifully done and well, I'm looking forward. What can I say? I'm addicted. Cheers!
Congratulations on your award 👏 for all your hard work. The pony tail is so cute. This is a well thought out video with so many options for maintaining your hairstyle. Hope study is going well.
Yay!!!!! New video and so happy for you on you getting your RUclips Play Button plaque, you deserve the best.
All of your styles are adorable! I think the ponytail is my favorite.
I've been so waiting for this! Thank you so much!
This is exactly what I do for my hair when I wear it in that style! Love it!
Love love love your hair at 9 and a half minutes and the ponytail you wear to class. Will be using that in the future! So cute! Thanks, Sage!!

@@SageLilleyman you are so welcome sweetheart☺.... you're videos brightens up my mom's day. She wishes to live in the 1950's...
Congratulations on your 100,000 subscribers award! 🎉 👏🏻 I adore your channel! I remember ladies wearing hair nets to bed or wrapping their hair with toilet paper then sleeping on a silk pillow case. I’m a child of the sixties and Mama rolled our hair on foam rollers, pin curls or rags(my sister and I looked like Shirley Temple lookalikes) those curls lasted for daaaaaays! Then my aunt showed me how to roll my hair on orange juice cans...yes metal cans with extra long bobby-pins. You didn’t get any sleep but your hair was teased and flipped the next morning. I wanted to look like Marlo Thomas aka “That Girl”. Thank you for all the vintage things you do! You lift my day and always make me smile! 🥰
So cute!! Thank you for the tips!!
Aaawwwwwwe! Squeeeeeaaaaal! Congratulations!! You have the best content and just a great personality. A real joy to watch.
xoxo's Sandie
Congratulations on 100,000! I love this video, it was so helpful. I'm teaching myself to set with foam rollers but I don't think I do very well 😅 I just have so much hair! Keep up the great work!
So beautiful! Congrats on 100,000 subs!!
Congratulations Sage on your plaque Sage, well deserved!
I feel like the key is not overthinking it ! Thanks for the tips 🙂
This was SO helpful with my busy work schedule, thank you love!
I’m so glad it could help! Xx
You by far deserve that plaque major congrats !!
Thank you, this is such a helpful tutorial!
Lovely to see you, and I do love your vanity set up... I need to go have a browse and see if you have done a tour of your vanity. I can't recall off the top of my head! Clever idea re hair net... I remember my Granny wearing a sort of ruffled elastic cap...not the 1800s style ruffle, but of a kind of shear fabric with tiny lace and ruffles all over. Just an option instead of a hair net, but the net is clever and easier to find.
Omg I loved you pony tail, lovely and simple!
The look with the black turtle neck at the end gave me The Queen's Gambit vibes. I'm about to attempt a humid set once again. Wish me luck.
So excited for you and 100k! 🥰
My hair is almost to my waist but your tutorials make me want to chop it all off so I can do all of your cute styles!!
I alsolutely love your housecoat/bathrobe. Makes me think of my Great-Grandma. 🥰❤
Same! Mine's an inch past fingertip but I've always wondered if this style could look good on me!
Yay! Love you! 💜
Loved this video and each hairstyle looked so good on you!!❤️
Thank you!! 😊
Hi Sage!
Like always, it was amazing and fun!!! Your curls are so beautiful! My hair are very straight🤦♀️ but I must try Your technique some day...
Thank You Sweetie!

My hair short, I had a pixie cut but its growing out now . I love your hair and your videos.
This is a great video, thank you for the tips! I guess I had gotten it into my head that if you wanted vintage hair you had to redo the set every day...
You deserve it. Love you content. Congratulations

Hi Sage. Congratulations on your silver button. Liove your tips for hair. Marie
Yay on getting that silver play button!! Your channel is so unique and lovely, you definitely deserve it!! 💖
Thank you so much! 💞😊
Very stylish looks.❤
When my hair was permed, I would go to the salon twice a week, and would do pin curls and love this, miss that routine maintaining my curls, but now I'm natural, I naturally have curls, but could still do this routine too. Love your hair too!!
I totally have the same cream cotton knit cardi from Princess Highway 😍😍😍
This is so great!!! It didnt even occur to me to put a hairnet on 🤣 for an evening out you could even just leave the hairnet & scarf during the day and brush our fresh before your event!
Congratulations!!!!🎉
Wonderful content😉
Perfect timing I had just purchased some foam rollers for the first time. Can't wait to try all your tips and tricks!
Yayy that’s so exciting!! Have fun with them! 💕
@@SageLilleyman Thank you!!
Congratulation Darling Sage ❤️💕💐☺️ I Adore you and enjoy all your content 😍 .
Congratulations on 121,000 subscribers!
Beautiful copper brown colour on your hair😍 Tiny scarf with the ponytail would look nice.
Hair nets always remind me of snoods. I love love love snoods. I purchased one years ago at a Renaissance fair. As someone with longer, very thick hair, the snood worked really well to keep my hair out of my way without having to have a ponytail. I lost mine years ago - I should acquire another one - maybe. LOL One thing that I just realized - the ladies of the 40s, 50s, and even 60s seemed to spend a little more time on themselves. They always seemed to have their makeup on, their hair done, etc. Oftentimes, with kids and everything, some days I'm lucky to remember to brush my teeth. As women, mothers, and wives I think we all tend to put everyone else before us. Your videos make me remember to stop and take some time for myself.
Beautiful!
Good tips! I finally got some curling cream so hopefully my curls will last longer than the end of day one. 😆 Now I just need a good day off to give it another go.
Congrats on the plaque!! Love your channel. ♥️
What curling cream did u get
Oh my Sage this is so wonderful. Love all the hairstyles but when you where the hair scarves they are my favorite 😍 have you seen Mona Lisa Smile? It is my very favorite movie. The pony tail style reminds me so much of the styles in that movie. This makes me want to run out and buy foam rollers and a huge pack of Bobby pins!
Back at it again with the vintage! Also congratulations 🎉
Thank you! 😊
Thank you sooo much for posting this video! I always felt so different because I want to wash my hair 2/3 times per week, because by that time, I can't stand it! lol So many helpful tips
It is amazing how you keep your hair looking so nice and how you use tips like a scarf when your curls are at their end. I have admired you look since I started watching your channel in about September. Love your videos thank you and keep ip the good work. Congradulations on your button.
I love the keep calm and fake a British accent mug. also a huge fan :)

Thank you so much! I’ve done a fresh set tonight but don’t have the energy to do it again tomorrow 😂
Every generation needs a Rita Hayworth to teach us how to be glamorous. Glad it's you!
Congrats on the 122 thousand subs. You deserve it.
Thank you so so much! ☺️💕
Congratulations on your plaque!! Thank you for this video very informative ... Also so wonderful to hear I'm not the only person that washes my hair twice a week 🤣.. but I have the natural curl thing so yeah long story 🤣.
Ok I need that sweater 😍 4:21
Congratulations 🎉🎉 on receiving your plaque !!! I am so very happy for you..😊. I absolutely love your channel and your videos are so amazing. I would love to try those hairstyles, but idk if they would work for my hair. My hair is all the way down my back.. to my butt. Would the pin curls work?
Hey Sage! I’m here! Sorry commenting late but want to let you know I’m supporting you always, since I’m a new subscriber! And contrast you got your plaque for your 1000 + subscribers! And your too funny when you said you look like a lunch lady when you were doing the curls. Always looking elegant 💜
Aw thank you so much! 💞🥰
I am so tempted to do my hair like this - my hair doesn't hold curls very well, so I'd like to see if this works! I also related to the comment at the end where you couldn't remember what you were talking about because you were hungry!!
Congratulations👏👏🙋♀️💗
Very cool 😀
I enjoyed this video
I am from the U.S. and I was a little shocked seeing you in two layers and one a sweater because we are so hot in Virginia in August. haha i am going to get used to your different seasons from ours.
I just put my hair up in a bun most nights, never thought of sleeping with a hairnet, but that's an idea! ;)
