I absolutely adore your videos and binged them all, and attempting one of the patterns you showed ! Would you consider doing a 50s Elizabeth Taylor hair ? But not really the kept curls but the sultry waves she used to do sometimes when her hair was longer - I am a brunette and that looks glorious but I just can’t nail the pattern for months now ! I’d be so grateful ! Thank you for all the incredible tutorials you do, such a joy to watch. 🤍
I’ll have to look up sone photo of her longer hair and see what I can come up with. I love Liz and if I ever cut my hair off again I would totally try her poodle cut
Thank you for sharing your expertise I just finish styling my first roller set and it's more than I was expecting...hopefully it will last for a couple of days ...thanks again your videos were very helpful good job...happy as can be.❤
If anyone wants to save money and weed is legal in your state, or a state nearby, those black tubes that joints come in work to make pin curls. 😂😂😂 I tried it. Also, sustainability, you’re not paying $30+ for plastic.
Have you ever tried setting the curls with rags? I noticed in some old movies, that the ladies simply used rags to roll sections of hair on, and then tying a knot at the scalp. A bit like the little pink ones, with wire in them.Oh, and how about ifcyou wantcthe style to last for days?
I haven’t tried tag curls but will look into it. Seems like an authentic method to try. For maintenance I sleep in a net and scarf or reroll the curlers at night in larger sections
Hello I just wanted to ask how you maintain your curls over the week. Are you sleeping with the curls or are you re curling them ? I don't know what to do with mine cause I don't want to pin them again. lovely videos your doing :)
I've found that sleeping with a silk sleep turban or headscarf keeps the curls in for at least a week and also prevents tangles and frizz. I got a really cute vintage looking one with a bow from Lilly Silk. :)
You can apply a small amount to just your comb like put it on your fingers, rug them together, then run over your comb. I use very little product almost letting it absorb into the skin before applying. More like a residue than an actual product
I love your videos and watch them all the time!❤️ But I’m wondering on how you go out in public with your hair up in pins and a hair net? I feel so embarrassed when I go out in them and I want to know if you have any tips?
Thank you! I typically set over night so I don’t often have to go out in a set but I do have strategies for when my hair has not fully dried and can certainly share those.
Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that! My intention is to show examples to get started but not everything is needed. I would just start with one method and take your time finding out what works for you 🥰
What length and what type of haircut do you need for vintage bouffant roller sets? I would appreciate your advice as I am going to enroll in cosmetology college in 2023 and I want to bring back the big, beautiful bouffant haircuts and styles! You are so sweet 😋 💗 💕 💓 💖 ❤️ smart and beautiful! I am a late blooming transgender person and will begin my medical and social transition while in cosmetology college!
I’m not exactly sure since Ny expywith 60s styles in minimal but I would imagine long layers for volume and a shorter front section or long bang. A shag haircut was popular at that time as well.
I would love ❤️ to ♥️ 💖 😍 💕 rock the Jackie O flip and also the Farrah Shag! Of course I would make a day of It, and have my facial hair and sideburns sugared off, and the make-up, and the whole thing including sugaring the body hair and wearing a dress 👗 for the first but, definitely not the last time! You ❤️ seem to be a lover, not a hater, so I will confess to you that I am a late blooming transgender person who, after 42 years of living, and coming close to death a few days ago! After I am able to undergo bottom surgery; my congestive heart failure will improve significantly, I will final be able to urinate normally! lovely videos your doing :)
You can sleep in a hair net and repin mid week. Or let the style fall and wear an updo. I’ll try to cover this in a video soon

I would love to know where you got the adorable blue hair net! Mine is black and a huge weave and looks...floppy.
It’s from Lucilles locks ☺️
How much setting lotion do you mix with the water? Is it about 50/50 or another proportion? Love your video’s btw 😍
For me I use 1/3 ratio if you have very color treated hair I recommend 1/4
Where can I get the leopard curlers? I can’t find the kind with the snaps anywhere and I think that’s what my longer hair needs. Thanks!
They are from vintagehairstyling.com
Would these hairstyles can go with with bangs if you don’t want to part it in on the side ?
Absolutely! Just set bangs with curlers according to a a setting pattern for bangs or pin curl into wave and brush into the rest of the hair
I don’t see a link for the pin curl sculpture tool in your Amazon store. Is there one?
amzn.to/47eFym1 here it is
i tried using pomeade but it’s so heavy on my hair, and i can’t brush through it. I try to use very little but even still.. any tips? thank you!!

@@mrstdupuy Definitely share those! My hair takes forever to dry
I wanna try vintage styles so bad but my brain is like "OMG, EMERGENCY, OVERWHELMED" just watching this 🥺
My hair is super long, down to my legs, so maybe that's why 😅

What is the most important method to curl hair? What do you think?(of this methods)
I don’t think one method is better I think it’s up to your preference. I like to switch back and forth since I get bored easily
