Sage, you have such a natural talent/understanding for this. My Mother trained as, what was called back then, a 'beautician' (this included hair) in the 40s, so I grew up being exposed to a fair bit of what you're doing ... and I find it wonderful that a young lady, such as yourself, does such an authentically well done job of it. Did you learn from your Grandmother or elderly relatives at all? Just curious. :-) You've brought back some wonderful memories too ... many thanks.🌷
can I suggest a video on old timey dances? when did dance culture go so wrong?! Remember when couples used to enjoy a dance together?:) beautiful hair styles! Great job!
That would be so awesome! Plus would love to see a nice, twirly dress. People used to be more active, and now we just move our fingers😁 It's gonna be like Wall-E soon...
What a good point when did dance culture become the way it is? I remember when I was 20 saying I would never dance with a guy because that was so gross to dance like that, I wasnt comfortable. I would go out dancing only with my girl friends. I have still never danced with a guy the way people dance now to this day.... I wonder if things changed maybe in the 70s or 80s?
I love all of theses, mostly the braids and scarves ☺️ this is perfect because I used to wear a scarf to cover my hair when I would milk my goats and clean out their barn. I began to really like the idea of wearing a scarf for fashion and not just to keep my hair clean but I wasn’t sure how to do it. These styles are perfect! Yay ☺️💕
LOL The bloopers get me all the time! 😂😂 Thank you for these looks, Sage! I think they'll come in handy in the summer here since my hair is 33 inches long. 💀😓 I die all the time in summer lol
Thank you Sage for another great video explaining those wonderful Vintage Life Styles of 40s, 50,s & 60,s. I personally enjoy your enthusiasm to seek out precious days of times gone by.💐
im so happy you uploaded this! i was following along with your get to know me whilst i do a 1950s hairstyle video yesterday and was hoping you'd upload some more tutorials xx
Thank you!!!! I dont totally dress vintage but I really love the vintage hair and makeup look! Thanks to you I've tried pin curling my hair and love it! Its the only way I can get my hair to hold a curl and it feels so special when I get to do it!! Love the easy dos for most of my mommy days!! Can't wait to try these beautiful hairdos!💜 I love look 4 so much!! I have tried this after you did it in one of your get ready with me videos and it is so easy to do yet looks so glamorous. Thanks again!!!
FIRST!! I've never been so early! And Sage, you are awesome, I was thinking,"what do I watch?" RUclips:Sage Lilleyman has posted a new video Thankyou Sage!
@@SageLilleyman You are welcome! I am 13 and doing my own homeschool stuff with my mom, and for gym class I use your 1950s exercises! They are very fun, and I always look forward to you videos! And you look very pretty with a hair turban and no makeup! Just a shout out from me! Haha!
Hello!! I'm Brazilian and I found your channel and I just loved it. Congratulations, your channel is beautiful. I'm sorry if I write something wrong or meaningless, I don't speak English and I use the Google handler. Congratulations!!!!
love your out takes at the end. So.. did many women where their hair long? and how did they style it? Just curious. Mostly see shoulder length hair. Enjoy your videos. Thanks!
This was such a helpful tutorial, thank you! What are the dimensions of your hair scarf in look # 3? My hair is about the same length as yours, and every scarf I've tried has been too small.
I made it using fake flowers and a hair comb, I just super glued them together! I have actually made a video on how to make your own flower hair combs if you still need some tips xx 💕
Hi! You are very expert to make and sew the things. I ask to you to make a sewing pattern to do a headband to cover the hairs at home, to the beach and the night to sleep. Is it possible? Thanks thanks ❤️❤️
I have the same hair color as you 😊 Is yours natural or dyed? Mine is natural, thanks to grandpa 😁 Loved all the hair styles! I can't wait until my hair grows a bit longer, so I can try them out. Thank you for sharing!
Aw thanks so much! 💕 I just use a regular shampoo and condition it often with a conditioning deep treatment. I don’t have a specific store where I get my head scarves because I pick most of them up from thrift stores or I make my own! But I believe most modern stores do sell some form of head scarf. Check out target or H&M, I’m sure they will have something available! Xx
Thank you for all this wonderful styles. The one with the curls at the back and the flowers instantly remind me on a bride hairstyles, perfect for a veil. The milkmaid braids are very bavarian/austrian. I am from Bavaria.
I saw a comment below of you saying you have only been interested in vintage fashion for the past three years, would love to see a video about your style evolution throughout your life. Would be super interesting!
I’ve always admired the beauty of the women who graced this era. Thank you for bringing it back! I love this channel! You’ve inspired me to live like a vintage beauty in a modern world.
When did your love of vintage begin? Do you ever get the urge to dress and live modern? I seriously think you’ve been reincarnated because this period of time comes so naturally to you!
Aw thanks! 😊 for the last 2-3 years I became interested in vintage fashion after watching period dramas. I just really wanted to dress and look like all those beautiful ladies! And then I realised, I can dress however I want!! 😍 And I never have the urge to dress modern! The girls today are just wearing less and less clothes... 😂 lol
Sage Lilleyman I love it! You’re beautiful! I actually was watching this video and my husband watched it too. He found it interesting. We are now binge watching all your videos 🤗
Thank God for you, Sage. I am an old soul and I absolutely LOVE that you pay tribute to these lovely ladies from the past. And better yet, you wear these styles in the modern day with pride. Keep doing what you do, Sage. I look forward to your videos every week. You are so pretty and classy, and a true lady.....and I absolutely love it!❤️
Oh my goodness, I just got out of the shower and was deciding how to fix my hair for the day when your video popped up!! Hey Sage. What are the odds of that?? Hmmmmm, not sure what I’ll pick. Thanks for the video my dear. ❤️💜💚
Darling! I live miles away from you and I feel like you can read my mind! This is want I needed! Thank u so much, you're amazing, keep going because you are my favorite youtuber xx
there’s no way I could possibly make any of these in five minutes. I have a long thick straight hair and I’ve tried most of these before. I’m terrible at them. I hope other people are having a better luck than I did.
Thank you for the hair styles. Hairstyle number 4 and the variations would be marvellous for a special occasion. The idea of adding a beret is marvellous.
This was awesome! I have a request: Could you show us how to do the hairstyle with the head scarf at the beginning of your 1950s Night Routine video? I'm not quite sure how to fold the scarf.. Thank you! You're the best!
My Grandma used to wear her long, straight hair like #5 until she was in her late 60s. She worked as a butcher's assistant throughout the 1940s, 50s and 60s here in NYC. Yes, she worked and had kids. Such is the life of the working classes.
A hairnet over a bun is such a brilliant tip!
The combs with the flowers make it rally next level!! Beautiful.
Thank you! 💕

Hi Sage. I thought all the styles u did were super cute. Bobby pins are awesome, aren't they? Thank you for the video today sweetie 🥰😀❤

You so pretty and have a million watt smile. Love these styles, they all flatter you very much, I'm definitely trying a couple.

I tried the first one and it ended up looking so cute! Although rolling the fringe up took me about 15 minutes 😂
Love the hairdos!
This was such a helpful tutorial, thank you! What are the dimensions of your hair scarf in look # 3? My hair is about the same length as yours, and every scarf I've tried has been too small.
How do you get the beret to stay on your head when it's lying flat like at the end of hairstyle #5?
Gracias a ti...!
Just beautiful!
Спасибо, за видео!👍👍👍
Aaaa you're so pretty!!!!!
Hum, I just finished putting my rollers on 🤔 lol
Oh no! 😂 xx
@@SageLilleyman literally the minute I had the pop, I was putting the last. Oh well lol

Suggest you choose a different font. It took until the 4th style to realize what it said. Also, slightly smaller font.
So lovely! I was wondering how big is the shawl you're using? I bought one but it's too small.
These are lovely. I have very thin fine shoulder length hair and I struggle to find vintage hairstyles that work with my hair, do you have any advice?
Could you suggest short curly vintage styles
Could you please tell me where you got your flower comb I think it's so pretty!
I made it using fake flowers and a hair comb, I just super glued them together! I have actually made a video on how to make your own flower hair combs if you still need some tips xx 💕
How do you keep from ripping and cutting your hair with those bobby pins? Every time I try to use bobby pins, they get stuck and cut or break my hair.
😍😍😍 çok güzel daha çok vidyo çek

Is your hair one layer? These are beautiful hairstyles I would love to try them, I have wavy thick hair with layers 😕

As usual you look adorable

Can you share some facts about vintage culture you know?
Hi Sage love your videos. Tell me, how do you stop your headscarf from sliding off. Mine just slides straight off 😅 x
