I find it so hard to find winklepickers since most brands go defunct so I’m glad you posted this!
It’s such a struggle, happy to put my addiction to use!
My first pair of New Rock Boots are now almost 14 years old and look just as good and fit even better than out of the box. Over the years thru sales, clearance items, and travel outlets now have six pair and my husband has 3. They were all worth it!
I really wanting to eventually get some more and am so excited to see how mine continue to wear. Definitely my favorites by far!
Definitely agree about demonias not being the most durable. I had a pair of Emily 315's and they fell apart completely after almost two years. They're still cute though

I have been trying to find a pair of winklepickers I bought when i was a teenager in the early 80’s that were “mistakenly” thrown out by my dad. Yeah, right!! The coven boots are the closest I’ve been able to find. Thanks so much for making this video!! 🖤
Sadly all of the companies that make goth pikes in England have gone out of business. I was lucky enough to buy 3 pairs in the early mid 2000’s. I’ve taken really good care of them and am afraid to wear them too much because finding the exact same ones would be way too tough 😂😂 Love your collection and that Blackwood Castle dress is 🔥🔥🔥on you!
It’s really such a shame! I’m hoping with them coming back in style more that the shoe companies will take notice and start bringing them back in full force

7:14 I have these shoes. They are my favorites and my first Lamodas. Even my mom who's not goth-inclined whatsoever said these were so beautiful. The comfort is real with these, too.
I love all of your boots especially the Victorian lace cream boot. I order those in black and had to return them. They aren’t wide width friendly so I would recommend going up a size maybe even two.

My favorite demonia are the Camel-203. So comfy for how tall they are. I also used to have a pair of Trashville-502 that were super comfortable but when I repurchased them after they fell apart it just wasn't the same.

Nice boot collection I have a mix of doc retro quad platforms which were hard to break in for me and demonias have 8 pairs of demonias and 9 pairs of new rock boots I wear those more than the demonias and docs I have but great video of going through the price and how comfortable they are 🤘🏾
I love the way winklepickers look, but I know if shoes aren’t comfortable I’m just gonna wear my standard combat boots instead 😅. Sounds like a single pair of New Rocks might be a good investment for me. Thanks for the thorough review of different brands!!

Those purple velvet coven boots are absolutely amazing. Well, your entire collection is! My biggest issues is making sure they are thick calf friendly. I have some demonias that I love but I can only spend a few hours in them or I'm suffering.
But your shoe shelf is awesome too.
I’m glad that Demonia has been making thicker calf versions of some of their boots, I really wish they would expand the styles they are doing that with though
@@MadiDanger yes! I know it's probably a big rework on the taller styles but those are the ones that call my name
Having the zipper UNDER the buckles is a crazy design choice. The point of these combination boots is that you can get the fit exactly right with the buckles or laces, then use the zipper to get the boots on or off without losing that fit.
Ive had new rocks that have asted me iver 13 yrs.I have the black reactor knee high and neptuno but i need those winkle picker 1s lol.Ive never found them hard to break in unlike Dr Martins that ripoed my heels.Ty for your informative video,super jealous of your collection!
I’ve not had a lot of luck with goth shoes. Would love winkle pickers but as yet in the UK haven’t found any. Demo Tina my platform tore off after 5 wears 😫😒 which has put me off, my new rocks I couldn’t do them up properly round my calf & ended up tearing my calf so at the moment my most goth shoes are ankle boots from primark. Really want do platforms but do not want to spend a lot of money if the platform isn’t going to last. The tip about the screw is useful thank you 🖤

YESSSSS I got the taller bat buckle warlocks and I had to get them altered because of my calves 😭 same with my gravediggers
Ive had dozens of demonias and ive had 5 different pairs where the platform has come off, and one heeled pair where the zip broke and the heel broke the first time i wore them. One of the platforms broke the third wear.
Great boot collection! If I didn’t have Fibromyalgia I would get some non-leather boots like that.
I love Poisonmx shoes! They are the only one that still do leather shoes!

There is a place in Capitola beach where I found a pair of Creepers a mixture of blood red and black color. A little on the expensive side but well worth it. Had them about 20 yrs but some how lost them in a move and try to go back to that store, but alas the store is no longer there.😢 Bought a pair of shoes online a little different they looked like a pair of boots that Rob Zombie kinda has ( his have red orange fire tips mine were blue flames) and still have them. Still wish I had the others.🦇🌹

Boots are cool and all, but anyone else read this as Goth books, and then get a little disappointed when you realized its boots not books!
Regarding your New Rock Pikes, would you say the sizing is accurate? I wasn't sure if the sizes were "Men's" or "Women's" so I was scared to commit!
They are in men’s sizing so I used a size chart to convert to women’s for me. I would say that it’s true to size.
I'm not even goth, but I enjoyed watching this video.
Your love of coffins its interesting & sparks curiosity as their associated with death. I would be interested in hearing some philosophy styled videos from you. That might be a good niche you could capitalize on.

I bought my last pair of pikes from the GothicShoeCo in like 2017, and it took like 7 months before i got them. After about 5 or 6 months my ex and I just atarted harassing them til they sent the boots. I found out later that they were owned by the same people as goth pikes loll

With winklepickers, should you order a size up from the normal size you wear?
I have small feet so I order the same size I normally would. If you have wider feet or are worried about them being tight then it might be best to order a size up

Brought a pair of boots in the 90's. Real leather and lasted me over 25 years dying only after a puppy got to them. Had to change the sole a couple of times. Since then I've had a fake leather. These are not anywhere near as long lasting and I would always get leather versions of boots given the choice.
Yeah real leather tends to last so much better

I just bought my 3rd pair of demonias I have Grave diggers, ranger 302 (honestly my favorite every day pair), and I’m getting my warlocks (I was seduced by the bat buckles) tomorrow I bought a size up as I have manish calf’s here’s hoping I don’t have to return them I’ve been wanting this pair for a minute.

The quality of New Rock shoes has declined in the last 10 years. the leather is thinner than before and the quality is bad anyway.
Demonia boots that I got were garbage! I assume you drive everywhere that's why you have no problem breaking in boots😂
That’s quite the assumption. I was breaking in dr.martens when I was walking miles everyday, it’s just never been an issue for me. But again, if you are walking miles everyday then Demonia’s aren’t gonna hold up the greatest. They are meant to be fashion shoes, they aren’t meant for everyday wear and tear.

New Rocks are my usual daily boots too. I need new winter boots though, as where I live is similarly afflicted with snow. For me, they are a bit of a pain to break in in most styles.
