Spidey webbed a naggy woman in Annual 13 by Denny O’Neil,Frank Miller and Tom Palmer! I read Spidey 50 as a reprint in a ‘71 annual and in my opinion the BEST years of the character is the art of Ditko,Romita and Gil Kane which form the template for the series going forward good/bad whatever! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, guys! Also good to see Tom is back too! Keep reading and making comix!👍😎🎯

I can't say I totally agree that Romita's Spider-Man integrates Ditko's strangeness, but it has some good moments. Ditko did an earlier version of this story in #18, "The End of Spider-Man" and the core of it is he quits (and even runs away from fights), throwing away the costume because he's worried about being able to take care of Aunt May during a health crisis. Jameson is on his ass for being a fraud and a coward the whole time. The comeback issue "Spidey Strikes Back" in #19 is deeply satisfying and just generally a blast. Romita may have been great at soap opera, but Ditko's ability to juggle melodrama, action and humor is hard to beat, in my view.

The folio looks pretty boss, so I tracked down an eBay listing that included a photo of the Table of Contents.
Here's what the book contains, in order...
Fantastic Four 5 (first appearance of Dr. Doom)
    Amazing Fantasy 15 (first Spider-Man)
The Incredible Hulk 6 (first Metal Master, only issue of the title with all-Ditko art)
Tales of Suspense 39 (first Iron Man)
Avengers 4 (first SIlver Age Captain America)
Strange Tales 126 (first Dormammu and Clea)
Daredevil 7 (epic battle between DD and Sub-Mariner)
The Uncanny X-Men 14 (first Sentinels)
Amazing Spider-Man 33 (last issue of a trilogy, contains the iconic scene where Spidey throws the machinery off his back)
The Mighty Thor 126 (Thor battles Hercules, first issue with the name "Thor")
Amazing Spider-Man 50 (covered in this video)
Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. (one-off story kind of based on "The Hound of the Baskervilles")
Avengers 57 (first Silver Age Vision)
    Silver Surfer 3 (first Mephisto)
Though the book is sub-titled 1960-1970, the stories listed in the Table of Contents were published between 1962 and 1968. The stories appear in the book in chronological order.
At least five of the 14 comics listed in the Table of Contents (Amazing Fantasy 15, for example) contained multiple stories, and it's not clear to me whether the folio contains all the material from those comics, or just the most historically significant super-hero tale.

That's a glorious lineup, Boss. And you could've bought them all for less than $ 2.00.

Romita Sr. is the definitive silver age artist, he was influenced a lot by the best: Kirby, Ditko, Colan, Kubert and the one that influenced him the most: Caniff. I'm a hardcore Romita Sr. fan and I agree, he is indeed underrated, thanks Ed and Jim for making this video.

Funny, I was going to recommend the three Fantastic Four issues that Romita did after Kirby left, just to see how he balanced his style with Kirby and Sinnott.

I love this issue, it really does show a new chapter in Spideys life. Now I’m going back to my old issues and go through them.

If I had Spider-Man's powers combined with Dr. Strange's I would use them for my own self
interest while living under the radar. lol

Can anyone tell me exactly what book this is / where to get it? Thanks!

Yeah, the book is titled, "Marvel: The Silver Age 1960-1970" and was edited by Roy Thomas. Currently, there are a few copies available on eBay priced at $150 to $200 or so, and copies priced higher.
