I used a brass ink barrel from a Cross pen. Cut at an angle on either end and filed sharp. Helps for gluing rattles in a bait.

the neoprene foam is great to insert to make emm float up right or just the tail

I also have been doing this for years. I had made a tool with just a piece of tubing but they dont last long becauce tubing is very thin walled.
I'd like t see something to help keep the tail on that Yamatanuki. It is a very weak spot on that lure. Very weak.
it's easy to make your own ":Rattle snakes. you just need a 8G needles for any plastic syringe
