I am trying to start a new fishing business and channels like World’s Worst Fishing is changing my life. Thank you so much for your dedication to making peoples’ lives better and showing them how to create memories.
What it's all about!!
Perfect timing. I had a friend bring his 13 year-old nephew over who is just starting to pour. Gave him some tips and let him have fun. It is a lot to take in, in one evening. This will help him immensely. Of course he was already a fan of WWF LOL. Keep up the good work! Thanks Chris
That is awesome!
Man, you’re good. A true blessing for us beginners. Thank you!!
Just got my AnglingAI fns Mold. It’s perfect other than one ding. And DeadOnPlastix worm blend and 4 colors.
Hell yeah
Thanks for answering questions I didn't even know to ask.
That's what this video was for
This is a must watch for lure making crowd. Awesome job Chris!
🙌🙌
Best U-tube video on making plastic lure!
We try
I feel like I just saw a magician give away all his secrets. Another Great video
Haha that I do
Chris, for an old man I have learned sooo much just now that I cannot thank you enough. I've been doing so many things wrong and now, thanks to you, I think that perhaps I can now get it right! I made a comment on another of your videos about the MARVELOUS shad that you showed us at about the mid-point of the video. I am still trying to find the hyper shift color you used on the mid line. would you please tell me what that was, or maybe i'm asking for a trade secret. If that's so, I apologize and keep searching. Thanks so much for educating me.
Keep up the good work! I appreciate the a masters degree in plastic bait making you have taught me a ton.
Haha appreciate it
I had that problem with them pealing apart about a year ago and finally seen your videos where you heat them up! 👍
Dude, I want to thank you so much for teaching me how to make my own plastics. I have been watching your vids and doing my homework for over a month before I finally bought the things I needed to get started.
There were some old OG U-Tail worms I recently re-found that were always killer back in the day. Forgot who made them, and have scoured the internet tirelessly to no avail. I remember specifically a bubblegum with black fleck getting smashed, but could NEVER find anything even close, so I am making my own. I made my molds with 2-part Alumilite amazing mold rubber. I ran some tests with cut up remelt, and caught a 6 lbs bass on it! < HAVE PIC WITH TODAYS DATE TO PROVE IT! And, I'd be happy to send you that worm, as well as a few things I came up with since my Spike It order hit my porch. :)) Just let me know where to send it. I'm not to far down from you in Leesburg. ; )
Thanks. I would not have got into making baits without your channel.
Thank you for making videos like this, I am about to start making my own baits and you're my research. I have more confidence now that I will have a better start than would have without your videos.
That's a nice Omega ⌚️!!!
Thanks!! Good eye
Great video the best thing about TONS of great info is you can go back and re-watch it.... Thanks again..You rock dude !!
What do I do if I have Ceramic molds
Finally i can get back into this hobby.
Glad to see this on RUclips.
Now i need to find a new injector
Great tutorial on temperatures. Maybe an in-depth look at temps used during the hand pouring advanced steps, skin pours ,capsulation and clear dipping could be in our future. Thanks for all that you share, not many would even think of sharing such with the general masses. God bless, and will continue with my learning experience.
Hello from Germany, and have a nice year.
One of the best videos ever! The perch ist the best bait from You i ´ve ever seen.
But did You know, that the burning reaction, of methane or propane, produces water which condenses at the cold mold? The moisture comes not from the mold it is a product from the burning of gas.
I just ordered my last thing to start making soft plastics so I should start this week
Same
Welcome
Great video Chris! Tons of good info.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the videos they have got me to making baits a good hobby for a old disable guy
Right on
Top video and well explained like usual I think everyone has learned a lot off your channel thank you
Thanks 👍
You have answered my questions about temperatures. I will hopefully start to make some in a few days. Still waiting for more stuff that’s in the mail. Thanks a lot for your videos. I have learned so much.
My pleasure, this video was exactly for folks such as yourself
i watched ur video, i made crawfish mold out of bondo,,, heat up like u said ,, poured the brown that i made out of crayons to make color,, the crawdads turned perfect,,, if i keep doing this i will get aluminum molds in few months,,, thanks for all the info.
How do you do laminate and keeping the layers to stick to each other in a silicone mold?
Great knowledge, enjoy learning from you!
First pours yesterday thanks for the help
Good info. Watched many times. Very helpful. Thanks again.
Glad you enjoyed
your videos are the best. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! I almost got all my stuff to start injecting for first time! With a good Black Friday deal on tacklewarehouse and deadon I probably spent $300 or so . I will be working a cold environment in the garage and it’s suppose to get to 8 degrees this weekend . I should probably also heat up my injector or just make sure it isn’t cold before drawing it up? But do not melt the o ring
Fantastic! Adding soft plastics to the SDG Custom LureCraft channel this year and starting to get my feet wet. This was awesome, thanks Chris!
You're welcome
Great video. Can't wait to try this.

I'm new to this hobby, where can I get an injection mold for fishing beads? I tried to ask one guy I saw and he won't tell me anything at all. Not trying to steal anyone's business, it just looks fun as I've done injection molding with nylon and other plastics for a couple years. This looks fun.
Did my first pour yesterday with the dead on saltwater plastisol. I definitely experienced cold cracks and dents. Warmed up the mold and the second pour came out a lot better. Trying to find a more molds for saltwater baits possibly a shrimp pour mold. Any ideas? Thanks for always putting out great content.
To be honest I do not know where to source many molds like those
Thanks Chris for the great information!!! Hope that you have a great day!!! Loads of information
Awesome video, super helpful for me getting started, one note the moisture is in the air not on or in the mold or items. Change in temperature makes it condensate. Do this in a warm space and let everything acclimate to the temp of the room and you shouldn't condensate, but higher humidity also makes this worse/easier.
I think I missed something....??? Did you cover air pockets? I'm getting these in my grubs and figure I'm getting to aggressive with my stirring, adding bubbles or I'm getting the plastic too hot. Your opinion would be great, thanks!
Great video.. Thanks Chris.... I been struggling with the temp of my hot plate.... The one I have gets real hot so keeping it right above warm seems to work best 4 me!
I've been thinking about trying a hotplate instead of microwave.
@@dgs.creates I still use a microwave to heat my plastic, but I was talking about the molds on the heat plate..but yeah some people use single burner hot plates for plastic too....
You're a good teacher.
Appreciate it
Very good Technical video Learned a lot
Learning a lot. I’m new to starting doing my own. Still trying to figure out how what all I need. I’m starting with Senkos. That’s what I’m having the best luck catching fish for me. Thank you for all your help.
Great video. Lots of info for beginner's and now you have a video to refer them too for the answer.
What's up man!!!
Wow!! I have learned so much from watching your video's. My wife and I have been buying a few molds and are getting ready to soon start pouring our first one's starting with the senkos. Waiting on our injectors to come in. I can't wait to use my own baits in the kayak bass tournament that enter. Even thinking of making my own company with my name on it. Lots of my friends have been saving there old plastics so i can do remelts to learn by. Thank you again for showing the steps on how to do this. Love your videos
Dude .... dude... like always ya out do yourself... simple effective teaching on point and thank you. Practice makes perfect but helpful lil tips always needed just to speed the learning curve and time. Again thank you for your time and effort in sharing info. You are dah man stay awesome !!!
Thanks, Chris. Good information.
🙏🙏
Great video! This is exciting to learn about. I’m ready to get started.
That was awesome....thanks for the tips...helps out!!!!!!
Thanks for watching
I work in IT, man...technical is what I do lol thanks for the vid!
Sounds like it!
Thank you, This will help out a lot, I had always tried to keep the molds cooler so I could handle them.
That separation of cold pouring then warming was a perfect way of not how to do it 😮.
Very very well explained and demonstrated WOW
That was the goal 👍👍
This was a great video Chris .👊👊👊
🙌🙌
Excellent video, I really appreciate the thoughtful insight. 🤙
Thanks for doing this!!!
Fantastic video thanks!
Awesome video as always my man !!
Thanks for watching
"Boutique" baits, like where guitar pedals went. You sir, are amazing!
Very revealing the video. In some cases also logical.... Thank you for the lessons
we keep it pretty logical
Do you think for the one gallon, could I just pour it in a small bucket and mix with a spoon? Easy peasy?!?
Good video, Thanks Chris!
Good lure. Had some hits. Gonna try saltwater next
Not sure I'f you mentioned it in the video yet.... But..how do I get the burnt plastic smell out of the remelts
Excellent explanation of everything !
Sup man!!
Great vid. Lots of info. Thanks. G.
Glad it was helpful!
I’m just getting into this now, thanks for the advice! Anything specific you recommend that you could say you wish you had done at the start?
Thanks!
So on the preheat part. When u turn it on to 300. How long do u leave the mold on there ? And do u leave them on there after preheat and pour them in while their on it? Or do u turn them off after 15 mins of preheat on mold and then pour them? And when u pour them how long do u leave it in there?
It's always entertaining and informative when you post a video, which is why I've been here since your wife was in one of your videos shooting her own lures. I have a question about the inverse of preheated molds. What are your thoughts on chill plates during the hotter months? Does cooling the molds after shooting them lead to any negative issues with the bait? I've only ever seen you heating your molds and then popping the lures into a bath?
i wonder if you can use crystal light drink mix as a colorant
What plastisol would you recommend for floating bodies.
Always love watching the videos man
Wonderful Vid!!!! Where do you get your molds to purchase?
Thank Chris your best video to date
Glad you think so!
I have a question about the griddle. Have you ever tried to heat the Pyrex cup with plastisol in it on the griddle instead of the microwave?
What size/kind of hooks do you use on your 6-inch swimbaits
Brother who do you use for you label making for bags? Also six sense may have pulled one over I see…..
Great video I've finally got all my molds and I'm now making fishing baits thank you for all the very informational videos!
Awesome to hear
Thanks for this video lots of info. Learn something new everyday!!
We all do
Thank you so much for all the info you put out in the community. Can't wait to get started myself
Best of luck!
Very informative video!! Thanks for the education you are giving us all!
My pleasure
Thanks for your tutoring
Please color match reaction innovations hematoma
How important is a degasser? wondering if I need to get one at the start or if i can get away without one for a bit
Do you keep the hot plate on when pouring?
What do you recommend for cooling do you turn the griddle off and let everything cool or take the molds off the griddle and let them cool ?
Great topic Hot video!!! Seriously ,spent the weekend working my triple injector which is super heat sensitive. Making sure everything is pre heated and cups of plastic similar temps and not too hot are key! thanks for all the info!
Triple is tough to master
Great.vid for the beginner temp is everything 👍
Absolutely
Great video Chris! You are so good at explaining things. I always learn something from every video you do.. Thanks
Glad to hear
This was an informative video. Something I struggle with is shading while making laminates. I've seen your table test and that makes sense but often when I get to that point my colors wash each other out. I understand the saturation level of both colors needs to be similar but my colors still wash out. I don't have a problem making one color opaque and the other transparent and getting a standout contrast, but using two alike shaded colors like green and purple they wash each other out. Is the key when using two transparent colors of similar shades using contrasting colored flake? I have experimented with colors with flake and without and it doesn't seem to make a difference but maybe I'm using the wrong flake colors. It gets kind of costly to ruin two cups of plastisol over and over looking for a new combination that works well together and I need to understand the principle in building two colors that work well with each other. One positive; I damn sure don't need to invest in a triple injector! LOL
Hey Chris - how long do you let your baits sit or air out generally before packaging them?
Heaps of good info there! I give my cups and mixing knives a blast with the heat gun before mixing up any plastisol, certainly helps getting rid of the moisture
I agree
Very handy when you're vac chamberless like me at the moment🤣
Do you pre heat and after the molds get to certain temperatures you cut the hot plate off or do you keep it on 300
great information, thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching
Thanks for the great info and tips!
You bet!
is jacobs molds a good company to buy molds from, because I noticed the sprue on there molds are different from any other ones. do they all work the same with the bass tackle injector?? and with bass tackle dual injector??
What color did you use in that pinkish swimbait
Here a question or maybe you have a answered it before. How Heat stabilizer you use to one cup to how many cups how many ounces.. Just curious minds want to know. How much would you use on remelt.
Awesome, informative video. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Just got some molds and dead on plastics worm blend. Can you pour a 5 Cavity 5” senko mold with a 4oz injector or is that pushing my limits too close?
