I know its bad idea to jump in elevator, but in this scenario, i would try to make the cabin jump. If it is trying to go down and is stuck, then this may free it. Just be prepared for big jolt, just in case.

I'm sure the oil ran out and that's what got you stuck. Ive been stuck in an elevator once. The Hyatt Regency in Green Bay. Used to be called the Embassy Suites. It familiar to the Embassy Suites in Schaumburg, IL.
Nope and this one let me out. The first time was in a Dover in Naples Florida and I actually had to call the fire department to free me. I have also almost gotten stuck on a Montgomery where I had ti manually open the doors to let myself out

It ran out of oil! If an elevator like that runs out, it isn’t going to go ANYWHERE
I think it was a valve issue as it was trying to go down

That being severely low on hydraulic oil is really bad for the pump because the pump can burn out
It's not really low on oil, it's a horrible valve issue. It sucks in air whenever it's leveling going up.
