That panel below the button panel is a phone to the local elevator repair guys- if this happens again (personally I'd steer clear of that particular elevator for a week or 2 after getting trapped in there so that it'd more likely be fixed!) try that if no one hears the bell :D
@dickckheney6 some elevator alarm bells transmits a silent signal to elevator repair company the phone button is only used for backup i case someone panicks or the alarm is broken

@@DieselDucy you could of press the call button on the elevator instead of panic or tantrum I was stuck in the elevator before and I press call button on the elevator to get me out that will help for emergency.

This is probably the most famous elevator entrapment on RUclips, even though it was staged. This brings me back to when I first found this channel back in 2011-2012. I also though it was real when I first saw this.

I love how you said The bell is weird
At around 4:32-ish the elevator bumps a little bit as though something hit it. Since jumping in the elevator restarted it, I'm guessing that the door-closed sensor was malfunctioning and randomly signaling an open door while the elevator was moving, causing it to totally shut down
He used the stop run key you can see him reach back in the video

The stop key switch was already like that, as shown at (4:03)
Ah. You may notice that the key is slightly more turned than at the start. It only needs a little movement to stop it. It’s an illusion.

What's hilarious is that I believe this may have been one of your first videos that I had watched. I know it's the first one I had seen of the Market Garage elevators. I always had a feeling this was staged. A dead giveaway would be the reflection of you looking at the panel before the elevator passed 1. I believe you did fool many into thinking you actually got stuck in here!

this is similar to what happened to me at the North Garage at Fairview village in one of their Thyssenkrupp signa4 elevators but except for I was in there for about 20 minutes the last time but I had just about gotten stuck in it a few other times and I thought I was going to have to call the fire department. I pressed and held the alarm like you did in this video.

@@DieselDucy it let me out eventually which it turned out to be that the door wasn’t shutting all of the way on the outside so I pinched it closed then it started moving.
Starting at 4:02 - The position of the Keyhole is in between the Stop/Run button up until 11:52, when it goes back closer to the Run side of the button. This Guy ain't slicker than me! 😂
Exactly. And the fact that all elevators in the USA have a phone in them and he pressed every button EXCEPT the call service center button... Which is what you're supposed to do when you get stuck in an elevator. Always remember that ALL ELEVATORS HAVE PHONES! It might be a call button like in this elevator, but he carefully avoided pushing it. Or it might be behind a panel on the wall of the elevator with a picture of a phone.

I was stuck in an elevator twice up in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I don't have videos of that. It was the same elevators that STL Elevators filmed at Pine Street Parking Ramp.
