Same pump as Chewbacca at Roosevelt Field. This elevator needs some shaftwork done though. You can hear the door operator humming, keeping the door shut as the elevator is moving (which by the way, needs to be slowed down. That's why the door keeps slamming.) Oh also, I loved that view of the Omega rails on the second elevator.
Also, the reason it kept recalling to G was because it wanted to cycle oil.
I very looking forward to film these elevators in November! :)
this is variant of the tour of elevators video. second elevator has a semi-view. front elevator is in better shape. hydraulic ram was somewhat visible. lots to see from up there.
The camera noises when everything turns light and dark blend in with the elevator ambience.

Wow hard to believe time flies and god Dover Impulse was my childhood. I am fortunate enough that I work at a store which still in 2024 has a working 20 year old Dover Impulse. Those VR Lanterns are rare. Love the chimes and now they barely work. I am missing this already. Now TKE makes all new stuff. I am sad.

@@DieselDucy The nostalgia hits me like a truck. I work with a Dover impulse. Not sure if its a DMC what does that stand for?

The second elevator has a higher pitch on the outside and the inside than the first elevator. That is cool. I can also here the motor better going up.
The second has a Chewy motor
This parking garage was on construction last couple years.

@djmordigal Hydros need less maintenance than tractions. These were installed poorly. Most hydros have no problems for 30+ years after being installed. Whereas traction maintenance is more frequent and more expensive as codes for traction are more stringent.

I am so exited because I am going to richmond to see my cousins but I live in tennessee so we will stop in roanoke at a hotel and my mom said I can go ride those elevators and take a video while I am there. I can't wait!

@Abhi Iyer Elevators have a park feature that isn't caused by viscosity.
