I love this elevator, it´s nice fast in acceleration and this quickly leveling, the rattling while driving and also the doors are opening so instantly and fast, I like. I´ve watched this video so much and i can´t get enough 😊
Thank you. I didn't know you have been here before. Did you stay at this hotel? Are there other places here around you have been with nice old elevators?
@WasherFreak17 On your phone, there is a screenreader. On iPhones is it Voice-Over, on Android it's called TalkBack. It basicly tells me what's on my screen and what I am typing. For typing I use a feature which allows me to type braille dots om my phone. It is really quick. But I believe back then, I used dictation.
Why does this building do not have a 13th floor? I thought that it might be a service level, but it appears that the service elevator doesn't have a 13th floor either. I know that they sometimes avoid the number 13 on purpose in some countries. I wonder why the 1968 siemens elevators where already replaced in 1985. The service elevator still has a 1960's interiour design, with those grey weave pattern wall panels. The doors on the first three passenger elevator seem to open in a weird fashion, first the fully open and then move back to the closing position for about 5cm. It looks like two of the dumbwaiters are not used anymore, the control panel looks disfunctional.
dykodesigns2yt I also wonder why the Siemens elevators were replaced already in 1985. I can't find any reason for that. I think only the right-side dumwaiter is not working. The two others seem to be working. At least i filmed one working. The Center one had it's in-use light on. There is no 13th floor for ridiculous superstitious reasons, something which bothers me and which i REALLY dislike! It's a shame that our sophisticated culture has to adapt to other backwards cultures that come in from outside to stay in our hotels. Persons who are afraid of a number deserve a straightjacket and a padded cell rather than a hotel room.
Heritage Elevators yeah, in some countries they are afraid of the number 13, thinking it gives bad luck. Of course, it's complete bullocks, but I guess it makes some people feel better.
@@HeritageElevators It´s the same here in germany with "unlucky" number 13. I took a Paternoster ride in a highrise in Cologne last week and also went from floor 12 directly to floor 14 (and back again a little later).
Pause at 10:50, 13:49 to scan elevator/dumbwaiter inspection certificate's QR codes. At 13:04, love that chime! Too bad this is the only old elevator with lantern chimes

when do you get which elevator? Because I am blind, I can’t see anything. Pretty obvious.

It's a bad number in the USA in some countries they don't have number 4

Heritage Elevators your right it's not clear to me why 13 is unlucky in the states.

The beautiful one
By the way what does the “R” mean
Sensors just like at Sky Harbor airport!
They're probably Panachrome sensors. They can also be found in several places in Singapore.

How on earth do you keep all that glass clean!
Nice! :3
Those classic 1985 and the (modded) scenic elevators are awesome! Nice fixtures but the KONE white buttons are much more nicer.
IDLift3000 Yes i agree. Thanks for your comments :)
