Amazingly Delicious Creamy Cucumber Salad | Cucumber Salad Recipes ingredients:
4 large cucumbers
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 small red onion
1-2 tablespoons dried dill for garnish

It reminds me of learning from my grandma (I bet you and I are near in age, so I don't mean that 🥰), with how she patiently explained the important things, and dishes that are still staples in our family. Hi Pam, new to your channel, love your videos and your video shorts, My mom, may she rest in peace made a sauce for her cucumber salad w/Hellmans mayo, lemon juice and sugar, she mixed up the cucumber, vadilla onion, salt marinated in frig for abt 45 min then added her sauce sooooooo good.
This is such a cooling refreshing dish to have on hot summer days and so delicious and healthy

I make almost the exact same salad. I add a little ranch powder to the dressing. I salt the cukes let them sit in the friidge for a few hours in a collender with a bowl below. Then squeeze the water out. No more watery dressing. You can rinse some of the salt away if you need to. I grow cukes every year too so this salad iis a summer staple. My husband likes chopped tomatoes on top.

Looks delicious. When I was in the military they used to make one that I believe was more vinegar-based, it wasn't creamy but I loved it. I will definitely give this a try.

I like to add a little salt to the cucumbers by themselves and let them sit for about 10 minutes and drain off the excess water. That helps them keep from getting too watery when mixed with the sour cream. Just a thought. I love this recipe. Thanks!
Oh my, my mom used to make this exact recipe when I was a child.
I kept trying to remember how she made it and one day I asked her how she made it, I was saddened that she couldn't remember either.

Not all cucumbers have a coating. The long skinny ones in plastic and the tiny ones often packed five or so together have thin skins and don't normally get peeled.
I have to peel all of mine no matter what because I can not chew them anymore
This may be a silly question. But how do you wash the wax off of the grocery store cucumbers? I always just rinse and rub them in the water 😅

Soak them in cold water and white distilled vinegar and rub and rinse before slicing@Winter Bear
