Throughly modern bike with retro flavours, very nice choice 👍🏼
I like your style! Will be getting the XSR900 also this summer, but in blue (2022 version) :) have fun
Congrats on your purchase. I have a 2023 in Blue. The XSR900 is a great bike. Mechanically very similar to MT-09 but to my eye a lot nicer aesthetically - I find the MT-09 front headlight just plain fugly. I’m not a RUclipsr but have a few vids with mods up. I have both a Corbin seat and a Kelpi Customs recover of the OEM seat for my XSR. Been using the Kelpi for a couple months this now and overall like it more than the Corbin now. With the new exhaust you may want to consider a reflash from FlashedByVCyclenut.
I have a used 2022 in blue from a Yamaha finance employee, and we had a very interesting conversation about modifications during the purchase process. Be very cautious about doing mods and advertising those; a stock bike is not only far easier to sell but holds its value much better than modified bikes. If you're going to do mods, especially exhaust mods, then keep the stock parts and put them back on when it is time to sell the bike.
Of course, I kinda knew about mods but it was neat hearing from a Yamaha employee just how much harder it is to sell a modified bike than a bone-stock bike.
@@langhamp8912 I have retained all of my stock parts. But I have no plans to sell my XSR. The bike will go to my son eventually and we/he will hopefully keep it running until it can no longer run - and long after I’m gone - hopefully many years down the road.
Someday it, and my 1998, original-owner Mitsubishi Eclipse GST, will be a pair of “Red Barchettas” only on 2 wheels in a gleaming Legend Blue, and on 4 wheels in Wicked White.
If you know not what “Red Barchetta” is, look up the song - and its lyrics - by the rock band Rush. It will make sense.
@@langhamp8912 I keep ALL of my OEM parts, just in case. But I have zero plans to sell this XSR, maybe ever.
@@raisingcane225 Does any state emissions test motorcycles? Maryland doesn't. Hot rodding cars is getting hard.. Bikes still possible.
@@markhall3434 I don’t know about other states but here in Florida there is no mandated annual emissions testing for cars or motor vehicles. They did have it back in the late 70s into the early 80s if I remember.
There is a Florida State statute - 316.293 - about not making any modification to the originally manufactured and installed noise abatement equipment of a road driven motor vehicle if the result is it being ANY louder than as originally manufactured - even if it remains below the maximum DB law allows - which is defined in the same statute.
It’s an absurd statute and rarely enforced and not a “moving violation” where points count against one’s license nor is it a “fix it” requirement - just a fine of about $130. The statute as it’s literally written would make virtually every car or motorcycle that has done ANY modification to their exhaust, even a slip-on or a slightly louder muffler - even if nothing involving the emissions (catalytics, etc) - a violation - which is why I think it’s so rarely enforced.
Imagine if it was enforced - each year at Daytona bike week tens of thousands of tickets would be issued. I would guess at least 80% of the bikes that go have some form of a modified exhaust that is louder than as originally manufactured.
Nice video bro!!! Please post more videos with this beauty. Long ride vlog or something like this.
I'm jealous! I plan to get the 24 mt09. How do you like the zx6r in comparison?
MT09/XSR all the way..
Saw one yesterday - liked it very much. Good luck with the channel.
Good choice
CP3 engine is my favorite
sweet, still waiting for this color to release in Philippines, cant wait
one of the best looking motorcycles in '24. It's crazy how much better it looks in person than on videos or pictures. Ride safe, wear a helmet
Congrats man. I love getting a new bike.
Great choice my favourite bike in the best colour.❤
Got mine a week ago. Same situation. They pulled it out of the crate and put it together and I took it home. Love the red/white color.
Got my 2024 last month. Love it so far. Already slapped a tail tidy on it. That’s the only change I’m gonna make for awhile.
added the fender elimiator; with led brake; turn signals just scrollling under the seat. Looks graet . i hope 2025 gives the 5" tft.
Wow, that bike looks amazing!!! Congrats!!
I liked it so much I bought one today just like that. Picking it up sat. morning, cool vid peace.
love this bike
Nice bike, love the colour scheme.
"what do you call these" 🤣 that was hilarious
Nice One 👌Enjoy.Ride safe.🇳🇱
demn its beautiful bike
nice looking bike just wish the forks were black, living the dream with all your toys ;)
Best colour yet👍🏻
Stunning bike. I put the Kelpi seat cover on mine, which I throughly recommend.... Looks 🔥
That old school Marlboro race colors look great.👍
Nice! I have been looking for a year and am about to pull the trigger and buy one today, God willing. Blessings Bro!
I was set on the MT-09 until I started doing research on this thing. I was stuck on what to get but I'm definitely leaning more toward this now, especially after hearing you chose this over the 09.
Considering one myself. More videos to convince me please haha
...and I thought the blue and gold version was nice. This is even better, with the color scheme reminiscent of Marlboro Yamaha back in the day.
got a 2023 XSR Blue for $10.3K out the door. What did the 2024 go for? Besides the body work, colors and larger display any differences for '24? Vcyclenut has the flash you need. I went -1, +2 sprockets and EBC HH front brakes. Figuring out the suspension adjustments. I went Dominator dual can exhaust.. kind of loud, may add the quieter db killer, but diggin' it. Seat is fine.. I bought some gel to possibly repack the foam, like the looks, the corners are just a bit sharp, but I don't shift my weight much when cornering. Getting into staying central w/minimal shift or knee drama. She's a beauty!! Yamaha needs to put their Kickin' MT03 engine into the XT250 dual sport..
i'd wait for the 2025 just for the seat change back to normal; and passenger pegs for normal changes, extensions. .
Damn, I was hoping to see it on a ride!
I recently got the blue one but this colourway looks fantastic!
Nice bike bro! Imma get this in black one day. Drive safe 🤙
Beautiful moto my friend. Congratulations.
Magnifique moto, sûrement ma prochaine ✌️ à toi de Belgique
Gorgeous colour, I have the blue 2022 version. Good taste, man! 👍
2023 Blue.. like that red/white! What's does the full GP bodywork version go for? Would have to see that one up close. Like the naked..
Radiator protectors are a good idea
I own the 2017 Yamaha FZ-09 from new and it's a great bike. I also owned a fully modded 2005 Kawasaki ZRX1200R since it was new. It now has 23,000 original miles on it from me. I got a full Akrapovic Titanium exhaust, custom jet kit, 4 degree ignition advancer, K&N filter, Borg & Warner race clutch, 3 teeth up in the rear sprocket, and custom House of Kolors Golden Green Candy Apple paint with black ghosted 3D flames on it. I'm also very interested in buying the 2024 Yamaha XSR 900 or the new 2024 Honda Hornet 1000cc custom shop naked bike. Great video and I just subscribed to your channel...NAKED BIKES RULE !!!
Bro, do a real in-depth ride review already. I haven't found anyone do it yet that I can find on RUclips!
Beautiful bike. So beautiful that I got one too 😂. I've had mine for about a month. Couldn't be happier. Join the xsr900 subreddit if you aren't already on there. Great content. Ride safe 🦾
I just got mine on Tuesday this week xD I love it
Been waiting for these to arrive in Australia. Is the white tank pearl/metallic or flat white? So hard to choose between this and the blue 2023 model.
I picked up the GP 2 days ago....not for USA
My pos Harley is in the shop as well otherwise I would have trade it in for this, soon though
more videos with the xsr900!
Where is Akrapovic bro? 😊
Is this euro5+ like the mt09 24?
Think this bikes to much for a beginner??
No such thing as a beginner bike, just ride with in your skill level and respect the bikes power until you feel more comfortable with it.
You'll be a beginner until you're not. Just ride with caution and learn to feather your throttle and clutch and you'll be fine. Going to look at one of these shortly 😊
Hmmmm… put it in rain mode for awhile . But honestly, it’s too much for a newbie.
@@MrFirstonraceday agreed. I’m thinking a Harley iron 883
@@em1ownerify a much tamer machine and you’ll still enjoy the learning curve.
pero manejala paaa
I don't like Yamaha models. It's a gay bike. 🦄🫤
Sweet bike! Be safe
Annoying dude..
