    Hi Rocco! Thanks for your video. Very helpful. I also came up with an improvement - if you put a transparent silicone tube on caliper bolt and direct the second end of this tube to some can, you can watch the air bubbles coming out during brake bleeding. Also there wont be any spills.

    Hey Rocco! New subscriber. I really appreciate the information and how-to here! Question for you, if I use a vacuum bleeder like the harbor freight one, do I have to pump the brake pedal at all while the valve is open and it's under vacuum? I'm thinking not, because the vacuum hose creates the pressure that pumping the brake lever would create? Any ideas on that?

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  Год назад

      Happy to help. When you use the bleeder, you're creating the vacuum with the pump, Then crack, bleeder, close, bleeder, pump.pump, crack, Bleeder, close bleeder and that's how I bleed the brakes. You can pump your handle, then keep it down crack the bleeder and close the bleeder quickly and just let the air out are usually pump to handle four or five times slowly not to create air bubbles put a rag on top of the bleeder and crack it and close it and just get the air out of the system that works well to. without the vacuum pump. I hope that helped. Thank you for watching and your support Mrleader88. Ride safe and have a great day.

    Thanks again Rocco… is opening the rear reservoir cap could cause spongee on the break system?

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  2 года назад +1

      Happy to help. Air in the system is what gives you a spongy feeling when you hit the brake pedal it collapses the air and as you pump it up the pedal gets firmer. You let it sit and the air is not under pressure and you got a spongy pedal. Bleed brakes. Opening the cap would not cause that. Brake fluid could be old. Replace and bleed your system. Thank you for watching and your sub Mr. clean. Ride safe and have a great day.

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  2 года назад

      Happy to help. I loosen the cap just so it isn't airtight. And then collapse the brake pistons. Careful that it's not overfilled. Because when you compress the Pistons fluid will rise in the master. So make sure nobody has added fluid when it was in the lower state when your pads were halfway through their life. Shouldn't you use a tube on your bleeder so you can see if there is any air in the system?

    I’ve changed my front break fluid but now the break caliber has tightened around the rotor and I don’t know how to loosen it. Any tips?

    • @TwoWheelRocco
      @TwoWheelRocco  2 года назад

      Happy to help. Sounds like a piece of dirt got caught in the master cylinder so it will not return the fluid. I would take a screwdriver and try to collapse the pistons in the caliper slowly there is dirt in there. if you open up the cap to your master cylinder you will see the hole. Flush dirt out. Any questions just ask. Thank you for watching and your sub. Ride safe and have a great day.

      I just looked. I didn't receive an email. But you're going to have to get a schematic and take a look at the stock wiring. The connection will be there you got a find it. Like I said, it will be under the tank by the back bone of your bike. I'll try to look and I'll see what I can do. Try to send it again.

      What bike what year? Take a look on your master cylinder cap. Should state type of fluid there. Honey Color sounds like dote three or four fluid.

    The way to do it is attach a 5/16 hose to the bleed valve. You know when you say not every video on the Internet is the correct way to do the job? Your video is in that category.

      He was doing it that way for demonstration purposes he did show you to use a rag or paper towel over top of bleeder screw. It wouldn’t matter anyway if it’s Dot 5 fluid. The nice thing about dot 5 fluid you only have to change it out every 10 years. Another thing that 5/16 hose you’re talking about putting over top of the bleeder valve doesn’t always stay on makes a bigger mess. Better off just to use a rag
