I think you can argue the same for Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl because it's that top-down perspective that gives it that nostalgic value to its fanbase that have long been familiar with it. All that aside, what Legends did right was expand upon the lore of the Pokemon world: what exactly it was like over a century ago before the events of the games, how and why Poke Balls were invented and used, and how Pokemon were catalogued before the invention of the Pokedex. You're immersed a lot more into the historical value of the canon perhaps more than the gameplay.

Absolutely agree with you. There's so much depth with in legends.
I would have pixels for 2D and 3D models for 3D. Either way GameFreak is half assing it.

bro's spittin but unfortunately sprite work takes... work, and gamefreak doesnt even want to take the time to make their 3d games work.
Ya it really is too bad it can't work that way anymore, but maybe they can learn from this somehow. lool
