    My biggest issue with gaming industry or the community, a lot of people play them to push an agenda. Not to actually enjoy the gaming experience presented to them. I know, those people are vocal minority. But, a lot of issues with gaming has been a prevalent for a long time. But people have simply ignored them, when gaming tried to be like movies. That's when I think it gotten worse.
    I'm very convinced people don't really like gaming, they like talking about them. But, I do find the influx of gaming has changed videos pretty interesting lately. Since, those have been ongoing issues for the last 10 years. I'm surprised people have just noticed.

    Hollywood is what is wrong with the gaming industry, look at what they have done to movies. We don't need Hollywood actors in video games. Keep it simple.

      Absolutely. In the video, I did say the quotas are not black and white. External forced could play a role. I just didn't have time to explain them. Thanks for commenting! :D

    I thought this would be a video saying that gaming is dead but was pleased surprised

    • @HamZero

      I don't believe gaming is dead. I think the market is just oversaturated and some people just can't stand some changes. Some are good but some are bad. Thanks for commenting! :D

      Oh man, that's such a good idea. I'll definitely consider it on my next video. It should be about how MGS changed or something! Thanks for commenting! :D

    Honestly, I don't see myself playing video games in 10 years anymore. I really hate the concept of not owning your games, I dislike most of the newer directions game companies go with their money-focus, and I think I'm fine with having all the good memories I had, maybe replaying the classics, and leaving it there.

    • @HamZero

      That's respectable. I'm actually bad with modern 3d games with open world. My mind just doesn't want to remember the map. It's hard to remember everything when the world is soo detailed and I tend to get lost sometimes. I need a guide arrow most of the time lol

      @@HamZero I feel that, yeah. I didn't commit to red dead redemption 2 at all, I just lost interest after a few hours. It's just too big to casually play it, and I didn't want to spend hours just to learn all the basic stuff

    Idk this just felt like 8 minutes of the tired old "gaming is woke, quit complaining, let the market sort it out"

    • @HamZero
      @HamZero  5 месяцев назад

      I'm more saying let developers have creative freedom. If they want their game woke, let them. If not, why should anyone complain. Basically a centrist view point. But I know it's more complex to have that freedom.

      I hear ya, it just feels weird to me to point your criticism at games media for voicing their opinions, rather than the corporations who own these studios clearly just making decisions that lead them towards the fastest dollar at the sacrifice of the quality of games they put out. Is it not our job as consumers, and media as journalists, to voice our problems with products we recieve, just like you're doing in this video?

    • @HamZero
      @HamZero  5 месяцев назад

      Oh ya, I'm fully aware my commentary in the video is also narrative driven. I tried my best to make it neutral. Consumers should have the freedom to criticize games and I think that's how game devs learn from their fans. I'm more talking about journalists who are more interested in nitpicking small issues that don't necessarily have to do with gameplay or story. If they can do that freely, I also can do criticize the way they report.

    #957 big dog. I understand games gotta make money or devs cant afford to keep making them, and I'm all for dlc story content and even smaller (presumably much much cheaper) nick nacks arnt bad, but itll be a cold day in hell b4 i buy currency on anything but a free to play game, and even then that is real iffy to me.

    • @HamZero
      @HamZero  5 месяцев назад +1

      Ya I know. Some free to play are horrible. FF7 ever crisis was good in some ways, but on a gacha level, it's bad.

    People are happy to let studios fail when they try new things, the problem is that studios aren't happy to fail when they try new things. There's a presupposition that gamers should year lap up whatever slop is dribbled out and that gets mixed up with identity politics and suddenly it becomes a "morally good" thing to buy the latest live service flopfest and you're a bigot if you clown on out of touch, creepy, "hello fellow gamers" style game development.

    • @HamZero
      @HamZero  5 месяцев назад

      Ya, that part of the industry is questionable. It's problematic when politics gets involved because either way, a fan-base or the game gets criticized for things that don't matter to us. Thanks for commenting! :D
