Great video! It helped me fix my problem, which turned out to be a few small pieces of glass. My question; how do these pieces make it through the screen and into that sump area? Anyway, thanks so much for helping solve my problem!!
Thank you so much! I found two shards of glass that were jamming the impeller, removed them as you advised, and everything is working great! I'm a 75 year old woman and your instructions and video gave me confidence to do the job myself. I'm grateful!
After watching other videos on drain problems yours was the most informative. Your statement that these drain pumps rarely go and are tough made me go back in there and check further. Pulled out a strip of plastic. I was ready to buy a new drain pump, saved me some money in deeply needed. Thank you sir, great video!
Just saved myself a couple hundred dollars! Thank you for this video. A good sized piece of plastic was stuck in the impeller. Just turned the unit back on. Fingers crossed!!
After trying all the options described on other YT videos I found your video and it worked! Especially using the turkey baster to get as much water out as you can, which I did and found a sea mussel shell fragment. Before trying that, there was a slight amount of water that hid the shell, I couldn’t feel it and the little turbine wheel still spun. Thank you!
THANK YOU! I found a piece of wood (???) and a sunflower seed (in it's shell) stuck in drain. You saved me so much money and time. Glad you have a PayPal to say thanks!
Brilliant... that little white plastic thing came loose on xmas day. Thanks...all sorted now and I feel like a top bird! Fixed it all by myself...with the help of you guys. Thanks.x
Thank you so very much. I thought I had cleaned it out, and was about to tear it out of the wall when I decided to check the net and saw your comments about the reliability of the pump, so I cleaned it out more thoroughly, and now it works fine. Whew.
Scott, Thanks for the super clear instructions that allowed me to fix the E-25 issue in about 5 minutes. It was a chip of porcelain that stopped the impeller from spinning.
Thank you so much! I could not find what was stuck but I suctioned the water out and gave the filter some spins and it is finally working again! Thanks a billion!
Thanks Scott, I followed your advice and initially the impeller seemed free. As such I followed another video and began taking things apart to check the resistance on the drain pump motor. Struggling to get the door off and the kick panel I was getting in "deep" and decided to re-check your ideas. On rechecking the impeller I found it did seem free but after several rotations it caught on something a bit and then clicked past. Something was snagging it. I got a mirror and flashlight and finally saw an odd piece of white plastic barely in view. Turned out to be a broken tong of a spaghetti fork. How it got in there is a mystery. Apparently it didn't obstruct the impeller until the drain pump came on and the plastic piece got sucked in enough to jamb the impeller. I used a wet vac to suck out the water and eventually with some flushing the illusive plastic piece got sucked out and the dishwasher is working once again. I appreciate your video for steering me in the right direction. Tom
Hi Scott. Thank you. My Bosch dishwasher was not draining. There was a chip from a pottery dish or mug that jammed the little white impeller. My repair was step by step just like you showed in video. I got that warm fuzzy feeling from fixing something. Thanks again. MikeG
What a great video…i almost gave up on this and was ready to buy a new impeller etc until you said that these rarely go faulty- so far have found broken ceramic and now works- thank you!!
EXACTLY as in real life! After removing cap, draining water I found a piece of glas. After 5 minutes of trying to fish it out I succeeded, the dishwasher was up and running again :) :) :) Donated!
Thank you, thank you! Just unclogged my Bosch with all your instructions. It wasn’t inside, or in the hose, there was a block in the air gap tube that goes up to the sink. Feeling pretty proud of myself!
Thanks Scott. I followed your directions and had it fixed in no time. There was a piece of a silicone tea strainer stuck in with the impeller....... Sometimes it would work sometimes not.
Worked great for me too as I had 3 frustrating days of trying everything. This Bosch dishwasher has the most unfriendly control panel with no switch labeled "Reset" as it should be. We had a totally trouble-free Miele dishwasher for 28 years and now this expensive Bosch unit is giving trouble after only 18 months. I could NOT find a reason for the E25 error code to have happened in the first place, so it is twice as bad to take 3 days to find the reset for an erroneous error code. I bought this thinking that Bosch was a German brand and in today's deceptive world it no longer is.
Thank you so much Scott!! You were such a huge help! It was a sliver of glass from a wine glass that broke over a month ago. Thank you for your clear and helpful advice!!! I was very upset as I did not have the money to call a plumber and now I know how to do this myself!!! You are AWESOME!!!
Thank you for this video. I found a twisted piece of plastic in the drain. You saved me waiting for a repair man. Appreciate your simple instructions. Thanks again!
Thankyou so so much it's just when o was cleaning the dishwasher I must have moved the impeller your video has helped my to fix my dishwasher God bless you appreciate this its working fine now ......... 🙏😊🤜🤛 I like to try myself wow so simple ...not even a blockage just moved the impeller....
Thanks!! Piece of glass in mine too, I taped a straw to the end of my shop vac hose and was able to extract it that way after fumbling around in there for ten minutes:)
Thank you so much Scott!!! saved from whole lot of trouble! found broken glass (how it made it pass filters is million $$$ question). Thanks to your video i did not have to unplug the drainage.👊
Awesome Greg, I’m so glad it worked and saved you time and money😊 I hope you’ll click here to support us by joining our Channel: ruclips.net/channel/UC7fBqy8806u1r0NpPv_fQ2wjoin
Thanks for helping me fix my dishwasher. It’s only 2 years old. There was something stuck in the blade preventing it from turning. Just like you said. It truly feels good to learn something new and put the knowledge in action. Thanks again.
Thank you! I didn’t take the pipe out but I did the rest and I had a lot of water in the bottom so I sopped it up with a rag and when I took the filter out and got the rest of the water out there was a round metal disc from an OXO spatula and a lemon seed which was jammed right in the little tiny drain area which I got out with a lobster meat fork. All good now and no plumber needed and no dishes needing washing by hand. Hallelujah 😅Thanks again!!!!
Thanks! My Bosch ascent which is 7 years old was not draining or even running full cycles. It would run for a few minutes and say “clean” which of course it wasn’t. I am the only one to clean the filter with any frequency but I took your tip to try and clean beyond the filter. I found a plastic fork piece that must have been impinging the impeller. I removed it by hand and it works fine.
Well done. This was a ridiculously easy fix that took me 5 minutes to complete. I thought I would be struggling with this for hours. Worked like a charm. Major Kudos.
Thx Scott. Just did the exact same repair thanks to your video. In my case it was a half dime size piece of coffee cup porcelain. The real question is how in the hell do these large chunks get through the double seemingly NASA quality filters? Seriously.
THANK YOU ! After watching your video, we were able to fix the problem without having to spend $$$. Your video provided super easy instructions in a way that's simple to follow. Thanks again for providing this service.
The white housing piece came off when I forgot to put my cleaned filter back on. Thank you for showing exactly how to put it back on. 👩🏭 Kept my husband from saying, "How did you break it?"😠
Perfect! Exactly as you demonstrated; problem solved. Thx for clear video and simple explanation. Two small pieces of corroded metal probably from old vase - why put in DW in 1st place - stuck in impeller.
Wow. This video helped me find a piece of what I think was a mussel shell wedged vertically in the impeller. Your comment that you never really have to replace the pump motor made me look hard for that lodges debris.
Thank you. The only thing I would add is that the cover over the impeller has a little clip that you lean out but then the cover is removed by lifting it straight up. I was trying to pry it out and could have broken it. And correctly noted is that glass can be difficult to see.
Thanks so much Bob, Those little broken pieces of glass are really hard to see without a strong flashlight. A pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers are really good for getting out the little glass shards.

Then took an air hose appox 100 psi. and blew out the propeller, cleaned it with the shop vac again. Then washed everything and checked the propeller. Seems to have some resistance to it about what you would expect. And made sure that peace that goes over the propeller was in place. As I am typing this I am letting it do a test run. I am really sick of having to screw with this thing. My mom had one and it lasted over 30 yrs with No problems. Every 2 to 3 weeks I have to go through this crap. On avg. it takes 2 hrs to wash and another 1 hr to dry. It just completed a cycle and seems to be working. Thank you so much! There was a small piece of bone stuck and impeding the impeller, following your easy to follow steps, we fixed it!! So thrilled to not have to pay for and wait for a repairman as it usually takes 2 weeks! Thank you SO much!
Great video. Like others, I managed to save a repair bill/cost of new washer by clearing the impeller. Mine was a small rubber band that had got wrapped around it. Thank you, Scott.
Great video Scott, thanks. We had the E25 code off and on for a few weeks, last night we got a E15 code. Tried this fix first and both codes are now gone. It was a small piece of glass and assume it would find it's way under the impeller occasionally.
Great, thanks so much. This one worked well for me. It took me a while to find the little piece of glass though. Trying to get all the water out will help with this job and allow u to look better.
This is very informative. Thank you. I found a small, narrow spring about an inch long. Not sure if that's part of the machine or what. Unfortunately, problem is still occurring so the search continues.

Nice work Bill,
Probably a broken wine glass.

That is excellent news 😊😊😊
No blocking piece found, but have turned the pump, as indicated un the video.....and the dishwasher is running correctly now! Great! Thanks!
Excellent, thank you😊
Just saved myself a couple hundred dollars! Thank you for this video. A good sized piece of plastic was stuck in the impeller. Just turned the unit back on. Fingers crossed!!

Thank you so much for your update and generosity😊😊😊
Thanks to you, my dishwasher is back up and running! A piece of plastic packaging found its way into the machine and impeded the impeller!
Nice job Chris😊
Small piece of glass. Bit tricky to get out but got there in the end! Money saved, thank you soo much
You are very welcome 😊👍

You’re a lifesaver. Small piece of glass stuck by the impeller. Thank you!
You Did It, and You Saved 💰💰💰
Scott, Thanks for the super clear instructions that allowed me to fix the E-25 issue in about 5 minutes. It was a chip of porcelain that stopped the impeller from spinning.
Awesome job Christopher 👍
Super video! I applauded for €10.00 👏👏👏
You are so kind, thank you👍
I found a stinkin’ piece of glass. I was flabbergasted and sooo happy. Now to figure out how to out the plug back in…..thank you!
Good job Amy😊👍
Thank you so much! I could not find what was stuck but I suctioned the water out and gave the filter some spins and it is finally working again! Thanks a billion!

Wow, Very good Tom😊😊😊
Big help. No other videos explain the details well. My issue is the small tube inside the drain tube.
Nice job Glenn👍😊
Thanks Scott! We fixed it .... broken glass stuck in impeller. Awesome video!
Hi Scott.
Thank you. My Bosch dishwasher was not draining.
There was a chip from a pottery dish or mug that jammed the little white impeller.
My repair was step by step just like you showed in video.
I got that warm fuzzy feeling from fixing something.
Thanks again.
MikeG
Nicely done Mike,
I’m proud of you👍
Fantastic!! Helped me immensely. I look like a hero with the missus now too :) My bracket was just lose for the E25 error.
Awesome job😊👍
Extremely useful advice and guidance. Helped me free the impeller fron broken pottery, saving the cost of calling out a plumber. Many thanks
Awesome,
Thanks so much😊
Thank you Scott. You saved me a lot of money - piece of wine glass caught in impeller.
Nice job Trish😊😊😊
What a great video…i almost gave up on this and was ready to buy a new impeller etc until you said that these rarely go faulty- so far have found broken ceramic and now works- thank you!!
Thanks Scott! Very detailed, clear info without all the flash dance. We're up and running again!
Awesome, thanks for the feedback 👍
Instead of glass I had a small piece of plastic, so an incredibly useful video. You have my thanks!
Thanks so much Dr. Martin😊
Thanks to your video I was able to pull a piece of plastic out and get the dishwasher running. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!!!!!
You’re very welcome😊
EXACTLY as in real life! After removing cap, draining water I found a piece of glas. After 5 minutes of trying to fish it out I succeeded, the dishwasher was up and running again :) :) :)

Thank you Scott. Great video. I too found glass jamming the impeller. Looked just like your video. Cannot thank you enough!
You’re welcome😊
Thanks! Solved our problem...easy and no repair man needed.
Thank you so much! We don't know where the chip came from but your video helped us fix our dishwasher!
Thanks so much Emily❤️😊
Thanks so much, I copied you and found glass stuck under the impeller. It fixed the error code. ❤
Thanks so Much Rebecca❤️👍😊
Thanks Scott. I followed your directions and had it fixed in no time. There was a piece of a silicone tea strainer stuck in with the impeller....... Sometimes it would work sometimes not.
Thanks so much 😊👍
Thank you! I just needed the 01 drain trick so 2 minutes in and my hubby is very thankful!

Wish I knew about 01 pump activation. Great bit of instructions
Glass city in my drain! Thank you! We are back in action! (the repair man couldn't figure it out)
You are Awesome 👍

Thank you for this video. I found a twisted piece of plastic in the drain. You saved me waiting for a repair man. Appreciate your simple instructions. Thanks again!
Thanks so much Sharon😊
Same. Some plastic pull tab got caught. I didn't know about removing the impeller cover. Knowing that now made for a quick repair. Maybe 2 minutes.
Donated.

Thanks Scott. My impeller somehow came loose and stopped working like you mentioned. Super quick fix that had me ready to buy a motor. Thanks!
Awesome,
Thank you😊😊😊
Thanks!! Piece of glass in mine too, I taped a straw to the end of my shop vac hose and was able to extract it that way after fumbling around in there for ten minutes:)
Very smart Ryan👍
Just like the video described. I found a small piece of glass behind the plug, blocking the spinning wheel. Thank you so much for your knowledge
Thanks Debbie😊
Thank you so much Scott!!! saved from whole lot of trouble! found broken glass (how it made it pass filters is million $$$ question). Thanks to your video i did not have to unplug the drainage.👊

How does a piece on wood get past the micro screen
..

Thank you! just followed your guide and had exactly the same issue, now sorted and I got some man points.
Great job Rich😊
My culprit was a piece of bone about the size of a dime. Scott, thanks a lot for lending your expertise.
You’re very welcome👍
Thanks! My Bosch ascent which is 7 years old was not draining or even running full cycles. It would run for a few minutes and say “clean” which of course it wasn’t.

Thank you. You just saved me a service call. This was right on point and a perfect solution.
Excellent video, I had mine repaired in less than 3 minutes. Small piece of wood spoon in the impeller. Thanks
Nicely done Keith👍
THANK YOU ! After watching your video, we were able to fix the problem without having to spend $$$. Your video provided super easy instructions in a way that's simple to follow. Thanks again for providing this service.
This just fixed my drainage issue! Thanks.

What a great video I fixed the problem. Thought it was going to be a disaster being been on Christmas Day 🎅🇬🇧🥰
Thank you! You just saved me a ton of time and trouble. I had a piece of plastic stuck in the impeller.
Thank U so much. Piece of glass was stuck in propeller.

Thanks so much Bob,
Those little broken pieces of glass are really hard to see without a strong flashlight.
A pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers are really good for getting out the little glass shards.
Thanks Scott, fixed it, was a bread tie stuck in there. Not sure how that got in there 😮
Nice job Michael 😊👍
very helpful video - thank you for sharing!
You're so welcome!👍
Great video, thanks! Do you have to do something clear the E25 code or will it go away on its own?
Thanks Kyle,
It will clear on its own
thank you!! I fixed it - and yes, it was exactly as explained in the video. The chicken baster was a key tool :)
Thanks so much Deborah❤️😊
So glad it worked👍
I bought one of these POS about 6 yrs ago now. The first week it worked great. After that it started growling and would not drain completely. No matter which power tabs I used the dishes came out feeling greasy and dirty. 3 different repairmen came out to fix it the first year. And for the next 3 years 3 different repair men came to fix it. One of its selling points was it is super quite. It is very loud and it growl's. Another selling point is it is very water efficient. Not when I have to wash the dishes before I put them into the dishwasher. I started doing this after the first repairman visit. The first repairman came out and used a shop vac to suck out where the propeller is, then he sucked out the drain hose. So I did this before I had to call the second and third repairman. Sure enough first thing they did was a test run. Each time they replaced the drain motor. The last repairman told me it is noisy, but it was working. And that he could not do anything more. So tonight all it would do is growl at me and not pump out the water. So I pulled out my shop vac and went through that mess. Thanks William,
It’s a good idea on this model to take the drain hose and go directly into the garbage disposal bypassing any type of airgap.
Great ,Done as you said. No back working.Thank You!!
Good explanation and demonstration!
Thanks so much Eric😊
Perfect video, I also had a piece of glass in the exact same spot, tricky little bugger to get out but all good now. Thank you..
Awesome, thanks for the feedback👍
Thank you! Great video. Took the white cover off. Impeller was stuck on something. Got it moving and all is good now.
Awesome,
Thanks Bob
😅 thank you for tutorial, phew success 🎉🎉🎉
You're welcome 😊
Great, thanks so much. This one worked well for me. It took me a while to find the little piece of glass though. Trying to get all the water out will help with this job and allow u to look better.
Thanks ! You made my day. Feels so good to repair something !
It sure does😊😊😊
Thanks, dude-you rock!
Thanks Steve👍
Thanks. I had a bit of glass as well.
Thanks, it worked.
You're welcome!
Impeller housing is nice and tight too
Is it still giving you the error.
So some thing can go over the top of the "large object trap" and still make it through?
Hi John, usually happens because the filter isn’t locked in place👍
Thanks for this. I had the exact same problem with small piece of glass.
Excellent , thank you
This is very informative. Thank you. I found a small, narrow spring about an inch long. Not sure if that's part of the machine or what. Unfortunately, problem is still occurring so the search continues.
Thk u so much for sharing this usefull video. We fixed it today. The last water we took out with a sponge.👍🏻
Excellent , thank you😊
Thank you. This video helped me fix our dishwasher.
Great video! Super helpful topic, great camera/lighting, and great voice over. Donated!
Thanks so much Matt😊😊😊
