After replacing the pump still got the code. Realized I did not push the pump cover down hard enough. That fixed the error code.

You are a savior of emphasizing the importance of not pushing the white tub until it clicks.
I watch other videos it help just a little but they failed to mentioned that you must hear the click sound otherwise you will continue to get E25 error. It took about an hour until I come across your video. I was like I removed the clog the thing spins freely, even check hose connected to the sink no issues.
    Once again thank you!

Thank you so much for posting this video, we had a recurring Error 24 problem that the shop vacuum method only solved temporarily...after changing the air gap, no more problems and it has been over six months now!! Thank you again!!!

Thanks! My sister bought a new one and gave me one getting drain error codes.
That white plastic piece inside the drain wasn't seated. Plus there was a bunch of hair and looked like a candy wrapper wrapped around the bottom of the impeller. Took me 30 min to get all that out. 😡 Little Leatherman squirt pliers came in handy.
Hopefully it's fixed. I'll have to jimmy rig it to test, cause i only have a countertop dishwasher.

I just wanna say thanks brotha for posting this video! To help others (because of my lack of reading installation instructions) BE SURE to remove the plug on the connection point to the new disposal!!! Turns out thats all it was!

After checking that my pump impeller wasn’t stuck or clogged, and checked where it attaches to the sink pipe, I decided to use my compressor to gently blow air through the drain hose in the direction of the sink to the washer. It blew out some smelly water, and got rid of my error code. Dishwasher is now running fine.

This video was great. Thanks. Turns out my problem was a frozen air gap line. It got to -20 last night and it is cool under the sink. Didn't know it was that cold... hair dryer to the line and back in business.

@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance Well, the screen that's supposed to prevent large particles from entering into the pump had not been replaced properly. Combine that with my teenage kids loading the dishwasher and you can see what happened.

Can you please clarify how to add vinegar to dissolve any goo in the circulation pump. Do we just pour white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher and let it sit? Do we need to run a cycle partially with the white vinegar in there to get it into the circulation pump? A little more detail on that process would be very helpful. Thanks so much! Appreciate all your trouble-shooting tips!

      Hi Michelle,
Can you run a normal cycle for 8 minutes and then add the vinegar and then just let it run the whole cycle .

Q: my Bosch is older. Front button w/ a 2 digit “count down” area for codes.
Interesting while the water level is high I created a whirlpool using a spoon & the pump turns on for 2 seconds and plenty of water goes to the disposal.
I have cleaned the impeller area & the rubber check valve.
It’s not draining but I have confirmed no blockage in drain hose.
I’m going to try SOAKING it with C L R.
Checking impeller area again I did find a popcorn cornel this morning.
    Important it’s cream colored 😃

Could it be a drain motor issue?

    • @QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance

      Hi Andy,
I think one of the kernels is stuck below the impeller, periodically jamming the drain impeller.

I used a shop vac to clean out the water but since it’s a ‘wet sump’ system I had to pour two cups of water back into the bottom before the recirculating pump would push enough water for the system to sense it and continue the cycle. Otherwise the impeller would run first then the recirculating pump (no water) then the impeller again and E24 would show again.

So I did the impeller thing right (2nd time) but this time it now won’t seem to start. I hear it running but sounds stuck almost.
No code. Just had standing water

Thank you! My 7yo and I were able to clear a piece of class from the propeller (did not know it was there, or what our problem was). I could not actually grab the glass, it slipped past the propeller. But it is moving now. Hopefully that rogue glass will not mess anything else up.

We took it apart again, used a wet/dry vac to bring the glass into view, and got it out. Thank you for your video.

I checked all hoses, nothing, then did the press to reset - ddint do anything - error still there. Took mounting screws out and pulled out unit after dropping it down an inch. Pulled the unit out and played with the styrofoam disc in the float bowl - it was empty of water. Plugged it in while still out from under sink, watertap error still sowing. Put everythign back together and just figured on called repairman after Christmas, but tried one more time - error had disappeared. Must have jiggled something but it worked ! Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this! So far I've removed all the standing water in the drain area and removed a couple pieces. The propeller in the drain is free of anything blocking it and moves freely so I went to check everything down below like you but unfortunately my model has a permanent wall behind the cover I removed. It seems I can't get to the pump and drain unless i were to move the dishwasher out of the counter area it's in. Since I'd like to avoid that, I've poured white vinegar into the drain which I will let sit over night to see if that frees anything up. If you have any other ideas I should consider, please let me know. Thanks again!

I had been trying to get this problem sorted but had removed the filter and pump cover - so huge thanks for your tip on the importance of that piece being securely fitted. I wonder if that has caused the issue in the past as I always take it out, check the impellar which is always clear and put it back in!

Thanks for posting this! My Bosch had the E:24 but was draining. I tried all the things, cleaning out around impeller, removing pump but nothing worked. It seems like it would get stuck when the circulation pump kicked in. I tried the vinegar thing, filled up the whole sump and let sit for 7-8 hours and things worked after that!

This seemed to have worked for me! I think it might have something to do with these units having a heating element built into their recirculation pump’s. Idk but I’m happy it’s working!

Here is the thing that got me. They use an exceptionally cheap plastic tubing for their connections, which gets even weaker when it gets hot. Well, when I pushed my dishwaher in, it made the drain tube turn about 60 degrees, which made the cheap plastic tube running from the pump to the drain tube connector twist a little. Once it got hot from water flow, it crimped, cutting off almost all flow and staying that way.
I used some zip ties to control the drain tube orientation, linking it to the frame of the washer, so now it cannot twist that tube. I'm still suspicious of it though; I would that tube is going to weaken and fail eventually because that plastic is clearly wrong for running hot water through it.
