I love the Spider-Man 2099 comics
Nah bro you've put me on Spider-Man 2099 Omnibus Vol.1 and I finished it a week ago. That shit was fkn fireee! He always looked cool af, my fav comic book cover ever but I was sleeping on him. Not many talk nor recommend his stuff so I kept pushing it away but your enthusiasm made me pull the trigger and I ain't looking back no more! Spidey 2099 is fkn GOATED.

I'm pretty excited for this.
It can take me like a week or maybe even almost TWO to read one of those old Amazing Spider-Man omnibus books from the '60s or '70s. I BLASTED through the 2099 volume 1 omni in just an afternoon. I wanna say I was so into it because of nostalgia, but I never read any 2099 comic before it (even though I REALLY wanted to). I guess I can say I'm nostalgic for that comic book era?
Even though the comics in this came out like nearly 20 years after the stuff in volume 1, I'm still looking forward to reading it. I think I just fell in love with the Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099 character.
I'm not a giant fan of the Standard cover for this volume, but I'd rather have that one over the DM this time.
Definitely love volume 1. This is a need for the shelf.

I've read some issues of some 2099 titles as a kid in the 90's and when I came back to comics some years later it always frustrated me never finishing the series. When Spider-Man 2099 vol. 1 was announced I literally jumped off my seat!! I've read it! I loved it! Pre ordered vol. 2 and X-Men 2099 as well! And we're also getting Ghost Rider 2099 later this year. It's a good time to be alive!

@@GemMintCollectibles Doom was one of the few I did not read any issue, but every one who read it says it's a must read. Hulk and Punisher I've read a lot and were ok. I don't know if there's more titles (not everything came to Portugal)...

I agree I'm a sucker for future things, beyond mr. Fries is so gas the futurama head was sick. Im also down for the macabre. I love when thing have that BERSERK feel
Those look badass but shelf space is at an all time low, (i have none) at my house so i have to settle for digital. Nothing beats reading actual books in hand but that how it goes.😅

Damn I’m thinking of seriously getting volume 2 , it’s looking pretty good, never read any of the modern stuff, I just don’t really like this updated costume too much, let’s see what’s up.
An animated Spider-Man 2099 film would be awesome.
Some nice art & panelling in this comic, the one thing comics have over manga is great panelling. A lot of manga has pretty basic panelling, there are some manga with brilliant panelling like Berserk, Ayakashi Triangle, Darling in the Franxx but comics does have better panelling on average.
Modern 2099 is pretty bad IMO. Constant tie-ins, Miguel loses his edge and general anti-authority vibe.
Just felt like another spiderman series.
So the omni got delayed to May 21st? All the retail sites still have it listed for April 2nd.

I'm more interested in the modern age than the vintage comics. Idk if I can suffer with only having vol 2 on my shelf though.

I enjoyed spiderman 2099 volume 1. But I'm a bigger x men fan. I haven't read x men 2099. So I'll probably get that when it comes out.
Peter David is just a massive draw and this run is one of his best. Loved V1 and can't wait to devour this in a day. Read it as it was coming out and loved it. Not a fan of either omni cover though. Such great covers throughout and they went with the most mediocre ones. Guy who chose these covers is probably the same one who decided not to use any of the 20+ J. Scott Campbell covers for the Black Cat omni. Talk about missed opportunity.
