@@adri_makeup What we see across human populations is that lighter features are more often favored over darker ones even though the drive to prefer lighter features is not tied to biology. Maybe you would expect this from white people alone, people who's ancestors depended on low melanine levels to survive on the cold northern winters but look at rihanna, she's considered a beauty standard in africa because of her beautiful lighter eyes. What really proves this phenomenon's existence is an event that happened in ancient rome where prostitutes were forced to bleach their hair as a form of punishment (the punishment being that they would end up looking like the members of the barbarian tribes who romans associated with uncivilized and detestable monsters). The end result though very surprisingly was that young roman landies saw how beautiful these blonde prostitues looked and became jealous. They then proceeded to bleach their own hair as well. We see this even in animals where rarer and lighter features are often favored over more common and simple darker features. I mean to express no racial supremacism or any form of ideas that could be associated with this premise but the basis for it being true are there and i do conform to such belief so i have to make the very undeniable observation that lighter traits are more physically attractive then their darker counterparts in a fair comparison between them. There is, people are just too dense to understand. Thinking someone's attractive means you're attracted to them, thinking they're beautiful means you think they look good. You can find an ugly person attractive and a beautiful person unattractive. It's so simple yet seemingly hard to grasp for many

I mean I can't really speak for your hubby or any other man but... For me I have always loved dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes type of guys... Yet both my exes were white, blond and with blue eyes. At the time I was with them I found them attractive because I had feelings for them , also the chemicals in your brain makes you kinda ignore tons of stuff about the other person when you like them... ... What I am trying to say is that most of the time it doesn't really matter "what's your type" cause love truly is blind when it comes to this. But I would have believed him that with you he's finally with someone who's his type. I believe he would be into you and find you attractive even if you were a middle sized redhead for what it matters since you two have connection and feelings for each other but still... He might always dreamed about women like you. :)
Yes but most women won’t admit they change their personalities sometimes based on their looks Especially now since the gen z is obsessed with “vibes” I mean depression is now a look; a vibe, an esthetic. So although women pretend it won’t change them it actually does. And kinda weird . We should get therapy so we can stop being Jekyll and Hyde . It’s a stereotype but the myth can’t stand far from reality.
I personally think its also because for the last decades, everyone on tv have blonde hair. Also many of them playing this "dumb blonde" stereotypes. Dumb but sexy, witty but still obedient, many characteristics that men apparently "like" at that time (even tho that can be objective). For example marilyn monroe often played dumb blonde characters in her careers, and shes even considered as sex icon for decades. theres many dumb blonde in movies or tv shows, like karen from mean girls and penny from tbbt. and not just dumb blonde, even the characters that considered smart like barbie is also blonde. blonde is like the standard of "pretty" in hollywood. many people probably think other hair colors are pretty, but some people probably internalizing the stereotypes about blonde bc they see it everywhere all the time. its like when you read fashion magazines, what you see at the magazine obv doesn't really reflect on how normal people wear daily clothes, but it still considered desirable and pretty. people might really think brown hair is prettier, but inside they can subconsciously think that blonde hair is also pretty bc of beauty standards and stereotypes that still exist until now.
You do have some valid points. According to a study I read about many years ago, the majority of p*rn stars, girly mag models are blonde, and men tend to gravitate towards the types that got them off as teenagers. They also view them as "easier!" 😅
I couldn’t agree more. It’s social conditioning quite frankly and the sexualization of women. It will never be admitted by most but generally men go for women they believe to be easy to get in bed with. And the easiest amongst all women to men, seems to be blonde. That’s the truth. 💯

An unattractive redhead is the most unattractive type of woman. But an attractive redhead blows everyone out of the water. It's usually both extremes when it comes to the reds or maybe it's just my bias.
The reality is that red hair makes most people a bit less attractive until you start getting to about an 8/10 then redheads rocket past blondes and brunettes in terms of attractiveness. The reason for this down to red accentuating facial features and the complexion, like you really have quite good looking and have the right skin tone to pull it off. Most people do not meet these standards.
You would also have to consider beauty standards on various countries, here in Mexico is really uncommon to see a blonde girl, so it would be perceived as exotic and rare whereas a brunette or black haired girl is really easy to find therefore people in here are more attracted to rare features
So like the reason the brunette is more "attractive" is because all of them are exactly the same on the beauty scale but the dark hair makes more contrast so brunette grabs your attention first. It's subconscious, she's the first one you looked at. Blonde hair is lighter and softer which dose make you think they're nicer and less danger. Color theory baby.

Eventually i dyed my hair red, as i wanted since i was a kid. All of the sudden the harassment stopped, here and there men try to talk to me on the streets, but they do it in a respectful manner, even if its still a bit creepy. I dont get honked at, i dont get catcalled or followed or assaulted. The switch was overnight. If i had known this earlier, i couldve prevented myself experiencing all that trauma as a young girl, teen, and young adult. I love my red hair, it feels like me and it suits my personality and face the best, so i will never go back to blonde anyway. But even if i wouldve liked blonde better, i would still stay red, for my own safety
Same, I thought I had brown hair so I was confused. Then everyone acknowledged me that I have dark blonde hair that look gold at summer and light brown-ginger at winter, so they were all going for the rarity.

Sounds kinda like useless statistics unless the test was conducted for a very large number of people with different hair colors. Which colour seems the most attractive largely depends on wether it directly suits the face -- brighter hair helps balance out sharp facial features, while darker tones may slim rounder faces. I like Qoves studio, but these videos like to make it seem that a few abc quizzes will find the most universally attractive feature for everything.
@@vegangainsmother5111 Probably should've specified that it's not so much about the color that either sharpens or softens the face, as it is about contrast -- which I defined as darker tones if using the girl in the video as an example. Theoretically, the closer the person's hair color is to their skin tone, the more it will blend everything together and make it appear less defined. Meanwhile, the more different the hair color is, the more will the facial features be accentuated by the clear contrast. Obviously hairstyles have a huge effect too, but that's the basics of it. Either way, main point still stands -- this is some very limited statistics

Yeah but what about us natural blondes...are we the same as natural brunettes or redheads? Isn't it just the bottle blondes that are approached more? I prefer natural colors, low maintenance, yet well kept.
Whatever is naturally given to you looks the most attractive on YOU. I’ve always dyed my hair but didn’t get male attention until I embraced my natural hair color.
with the club one, quite a few of these sorts of studies seem to use women who are not naturally blonde, so all the findings are based on that specific group of women. i wish there was a distinction between natural and dyed blondes in these sorts of studies as they're quite different in perception and attention from other people and its honestly interesting
Funny, i find brunettes more attractive in general but this girl is more attractive as a blonde. Is the study done based on who said they would approach or did they take women and change their hair and set them out in bars and nightclubs?
Yeah they studied bar-going women who change their hair color and they reported that they were approached most when with blonde hair, there were probably a mixture of natural starting blondes brunettes and redheads to rule out bias to unnatural colors, though I’m just assuming that
Because she is naturally blonde. She has light eyes, pale skin and soft traits. Now put there some hot brunette with golden skin and dark intense eyes and she will totally match dark hair.
If these are the pictures that you showed for the study then i don't doubt it's inaccuracy. I get that if you show three different women the men might end up choosing based on other features that weren't targeted in the study, but this woman looks best with brown hair. The shade of blond that they gave her makes her skin look sickly, same goes for the second blond they show. The redhead woman also looks washed out by the color of her hair. If you show women that look best in their respective hair colors only then can you expect good results. For example if in the different pictures you slightly change the hue of their skin, eyes, lips and so on to create a pallet that would suit the color they're shown in.
I’ve been and look natural in all three - I’m naturally brunette. I was approached a lot as a blonde as a red head everyone just thought I was available for ‘fun’ and as a brunette I can’t ever remember being approached except for years later when they told me they had a crush on me and then proceeded to run away again.
I find redhead the most attractive. My entire family except me and my father (we have blonde hair) have red hair so maybe that familiarity has something to do with it. Or maybe its just a coincidence.
When I went blonde I got approached more than when I was a brunette. On the other hand, strangers treated me more like I was unintelligent while being blonde
Heard that a lot. Maybe that is why blondes are approached more often. They might be perceived as less intelligent and therefore, easier to get or even less dangerous. Brunettes may look smarter or more competent and would be then harder to get. It would be interesting to know in which setting and for what intention both groups are being approached (I would guess that a lot of blondes get approached in a bar, for a one-night stand, as a girlfriend but less with the intention to be future wife). Nonetheless, I think the most attractive colour is the colour that suits the best and matches other traits of the appearance.
im an artist who focuses on color mostly and ive been interested in color analysis (not professionally I could be totally wrong) so it really depends if the hair color suits the specific person
ok can we do duplicate studies with women of different skin colours etc - the blonde and ginger washes her out (skin tone) making her look a little unwell. There are loads of studies out there regarding to men being attracted to physical attributes that biologically indicate really healthy women, aka full lips, thich eyebrows etc whereas being too skinny or overweight or having think hair could unconsiously indicate some kind of underlying health issue which would make them less attractive to a man. Follow up studies are a must for this kind of thing, its only eluding to a theoretical idea, doesnt lend any serious weight to it.
EXACTLY omg i hate these studies bc ppl always compare those hair colors and whenever black hair is mentioned it is deemed as "rare" but it's the most common hair color. it's as if poc don't exist to change the "black hair being rare" statistic and it's so frustrating. at this point im about to bleach my hair to become brunette or blonde

I think it’s because men, as stated in the video, assume brunettes are more intelligent and competent. They find it attractive in theory but in reality it’s intimidating to a lot of men. Due to the “dumb blonde” stereotype unfortunately still being around, many men may (subconsciously) assume blondes to be less intelligent and competent and therefore also less intimidating. I don’t think you could say that men find one particular hair colour most attractive as it’s very subjective, but it explains the part about blondes being approached more. Also, what about women with black hair?
Altered hair color is its own category, both in terms of attractiveness and personality. Also, more approachable does not have to mean more attractive.
I wont lie, my reason is: Dark/Brown hair? I feel intimidated by that intense beauty as if I can never get her. Blonde comes off as more someone easier to approach and laid back. I feel more relaxed and comfortable to be able to talk to her. And of course facial beauty adds to it.
@@minniemehak2382 Yes, compared to most white women. Like goth features. Also coupled with your more colder, stoic facial expressions “RBF”. But as a black man, used to darker, more “imposing”, features in women. Not really that intimidating.
I think it comes down to individual at hand. Just cos you’re brunette doesn’t mean you’re more attractive than the blonde next to you and vice versa. I don’t think men even really consciously think of the hair colour- it’s the person’s facial attractiveness that gets noticed first I would think.. just my opinion. 🤷🏼♀️
I do not think men are so manipulative to say they find brunettes attractive but really like blonds. Honestly funny. I think it is true that blonds seem more approachable and sunny.
Ah, so they weren't implying that the male species were being manipulative. They meant "what we say we want" being different from "what we actually want, but not actually realizing it." For example, if they do a survey on our generation, let's say 100,000 people aged 20-50 are asked, they find that 82% of us say we want a job that pays higher!! 🤑 But then they put us in an experiment where we're given offers, and they find a pattern where 78% of us pick jobs that have a bit less money but more intriguing projects to work on (idk, they ask us why we picked that job lol.) So we may not _realize_ it naturally at first thought... but the data may show that as a generation we care more about enjoying our work than making a bit more money... 🥰 (this is a random example I pulled out of my you-know-where 😏🙈lol... But it's to show what they meant. They were definitely not accusing the male species of manipulating people by all agreeing to pick "brunette" at the same time...which btw would be a crazy awesome trick - they'd have to have a huge meeting and agree before the study. Or use telepathy.)
Redheads because they are the most unique and rare. Beauty is rareness not averageness. Many people are just too weak and too dependent on social status so they get attracted to average people.

I have asked most men I know about this and never in my life have heard someone say they prefer blondes. @@PrinceTerrien
@@PrinceTerrienexactly blondes have been tied to the beauty standard for decades I mean the term “blonde bombshell” didn’t invent itself lol. Look at Marilyn Monroe with her iconic blonde hair n she’s been a sex symbol n epitome of beauty for decades. Also ofc the saying “blondes have more fun” which I think makes many men associate blondes with a good time, also the term “dumb blonde” which I think men also take into consideration n think the a blonde will be more gullible n “easy”
Also, sorry for the long comment😅

Sounds kinda like useless statistics unless the test was conducted for a very large number of people with different hair colors.
Which colour seems the most attractive largely depends on wether it directly suits the face -- brighter hair helps balance out sharp facial features, while darker tones may slim rounder faces.

@@vegangainsmother5111
Probably should've specified that it's not so much about the color that either sharpens or softens the face, as it is about contrast -- which I defined as darker tones if using the girl in the video as an example.

The Brunette looks like Sasha Grey.
Nonetheless, I think the most attractive colour is the colour that suits the best and matches other traits of the appearance.

ok can we do duplicate studies with women of different skin colours etc - the blonde and ginger washes her out (skin tone) making her look a little unwell. I think it’s because men, as stated in the video, assume brunettes are more intelligent and competent. They find it attractive in theory but in reality it’s intimidating to a lot of men. Looks like im the only one here like the redheads...
Nope
I think it comes down to individual at hand. Just cos you’re brunette doesn’t mean you’re more attractive than the blonde next to you and vice versa. I don’t think men even really consciously think of the hair colour- it’s the person’s facial attractiveness that gets noticed first I would think.. just my opinion. 🤷🏼♀️
I do not think men are so manipulative to say they find brunettes attractive but really like blonds. Honestly funny. I think it is true that blonds seem more approachable and sunny.
Blonde are also seen as easier s3xually and have lower standard.
Ah, so they weren't implying that the male species were being manipulative.
They meant "what we say we want" being different from "what we actually want, but not actually realizing it."
For example, if they do a survey on our generation, let's say 100,000 people aged 20-50 are asked, they find that 82% of us say we want a job that pays higher!! 🤑
But then they put us in an experiment where we're given offers, and they find a pattern where 78% of us pick jobs that have a bit less money but more intriguing projects to work on (idk, they ask us why we picked that job lol.) So we may not _realize_ it naturally at first thought... but the data may show that as a generation we care more about enjoying our work than making a bit more money... 🥰
(this is a random example I pulled out of my you-know-where 😏🙈lol... But it's to show what they meant. They were definitely not accusing the male species of manipulating people by all agreeing to pick "brunette" at the same time...which btw would be a crazy awesome trick - they'd have to have a huge meeting and agree before the study. Or use telepathy.)
They just prefer brunette, dude.
Wow...men are very manipulative. You have no idea!!!!!!!
They say one thing but do the other thing all the time.
Redheads because they are the most unique and rare. Beauty is rareness not averageness. Many people are just too weak and too dependent on social status so they get attracted to average people.
Red hair was definitely the cutest on her ❤ But I agree with the video!
