Around 1:20:00, the narrator describes the voice of the creature as like a car crash, when only a couple of minutes before, he described its (her?) appearance like that of a victim of a car crash. I do wish the writer had joined these two descriptions as they utilize the same metaphor (car crash), so instead of a few minutes apart, the narrator would say something like, “Its appearance was like that of a car crash victim & its voice sounded like the crash itself, the scraping of metal against pavement [etc.].” Its appearance can be described before the car crash metaphor or after the description of the voice. I actually think after would be more compelling, as the reader / listener would first be haunted by such a horrific voice, imagining the creature from which it emanates. Then the description of its appearance would be provided, the audience’s imagination of the creature transforms grotesquely into its given appearance, now the audience putting the voice to its face in detail. “Like a car crash” provides an image of a bloody & torn apart form, & the given description will add to this imagination in a manner that also imbues life into the creature, rather than just an unnervingly silent & disturbingly still vision of a car crash victim. You know?
I agree. The editor in me has trouble just listening to narrations instead of squirming every time there’s an error or something not quite right.
The good Doctor always brings us all these great stories. Even if I have already heard one of them before, I always listen anyway because his narration makes it seem new to me for some reason.

Imagine knowing your wife has been replaced by a mimic, but having to hide the fact that you know. That would be so creepy. Having to pretend you love it and sharing a bed with it. Having to act like nothing is wrong so it doesn't find out you're on to it. It's one thing to hear it happening to someone else in a fictional setting, but imagine it actually happening to you. That would suck so badly.
She told you stay away from the door and you had to be curious

Hmm, ok Yung Seti, The second part fell a bit short of the first, although it’s a necessary piece that does carry many necessary parts that we as the readers, or listeners, do need to know. So I’ll give it a solid rating as it was needed, and didn’t have to be as spectacular as the first. But on the same note, part three, which I’m assuming (and possibly wrong about) to be the finale, has to bring it full circle and deliver with a punch worthy of Rocky IV. I’m talking Drago knockout worthy.
And with Dr Creepen delivering with such incredible precision tonight, and I’ll have to give him some extra credit as his performance was even better than his normal, (which is always outstanding) he did assist in carrying the story along and kept us all fully engaged in every moment. So to Dr Creepen I give the highest praise and thank you for your unwavering dedication and commitment to bringing us so much spectacular energy and a talent normally reserved for those in the A list of Hollywoods greatest. 👍 And to our esteemed author, Yung Seti I offer an award commending their contribution on a level that when it’s enough to keep me waiting for the next installment, well that speaks for itself! Not an easy achievement! Well done!👏👏👏👏👏👏🏆 Looking forward to part 3.

Most stories suffer from the author trying to be verbose and indirect with rambling writings.
In this one the writer is a member of a secret society, making him a total weirdo and this kind of writing fit perfectly.
