Tonight’s terrifying tale of the strange and macabre is all four parts of ‘The Blacktop Kids’ series by the wonderfully talented Corpse Child, kindly shared directly with me for the express purpose of having me narrate it here for you all:

I’d just like to say thank you for not copping out and using AI of your voice to mass produce videos. So many creepy pasta channels now are just bad AI, there’s no cadence or emotion in AI voices. You’ll never be replaceable 💜
Which ones do you know of that actually are using ai? I would like to avoid them
@@jblask2 honestly there’s so many. But it’s pretty easy to tell because it reads poorly. Awkward stopping points and always calling a person he and she because ai doesn’t know the difference.

I thlnk I felt the same sadness you did! Great narration as always. I liked the story because it was realistic. I think too many happy endings set too many of us for unrealistic expectations.
Your kid is murdered, and your boss gives you one week off and then is like ‘get back ere soldier’! Brutal.

That's what my boss did after my father died from cancer in 2010. He told me getting back to work would make me feel better. No bereavement pay, either.

As a father myself, losing your kid once hits like nothing else. Losing him three times however proved that it can always be worse.
You and Corpsechild managed to take me through all emotions yet again.
That was a real tear jerker.

@@alemtorsaulaMost of these stories are amazing and I know I couldn’t write a better story but this particular one, I am positive I could. The main characters shouldn’t be so dumb that it’s distracting and the situations should at least be anchored to some type of common sense reality. Some guy walking into a police standoff, having some long drawn out situation with a kid holding a knife & no other suspects are detained? The final scene was laughable. None of that would have ever happened like that. Just because I’m honest in my criticism doesn’t mean I think I’m some great writer
Corps child is really good getting good at giving me the chills and the stories are getting better and better. Of course I don't think they would be so good if it wasn't for the best narrating done by the best in the business. Love to you and yours 💓

Well it’s been a while since I’ve heard this one and fortunately enough it was long enough ago that I didn’t remember what happened so in effect it was a new story. And as CC always does, it brought with it it’s own special kind of drama and that very hard to find unique quality as so many CreepyPastas today are just slight variations of another one. So you end up with a big bowl of just slightly more spice in each one but vaguely enough to even “taste” the difference. When the great authors such as the Corpse Child comes along it’s best to pay attention and give them the praise they deserve so it will motivate them to continue to bring us more of the same quality of stories that we all know and love. And as long as we keep the great Dr Creepen delivering them, well there’s just nothing left to ask for! With the one exception of your favorite drink 🍺. So thanks to you good Dr, and much Praise to CC for another gripping tale of brutal killing rascals amongst the neighborhood. You just can’t ever be safe enough! Excellent performance!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍🫡🫡🫡
Who waits 10 actual minutes after knocking on someone's door? That is actually pretty creepy, especially if nobody answers and tells you to "hold on, I'm coming"
there's a lot of details in the story that don't make sense. Asking your neighbor you aren't particularly close to about their recently deceased daughter, a cop showing a random civilian crime scene photos and getting him to play investigator.....
I’m mad the dad didn’t find creepy the children in a circle near nighttime with a girl in the middle and KY saying I’m going to get mom back… when dad went with the detective he couldn’t tell him Maybe 🤔 1 reaosm right away the last time he saw he son and the weird stuff happening. Apparently none of that rang a bell immediately. Like the detective had to give him clues about a cult maybe… it’s was getting me mad actually lol
I wish the author had given a reason why/how the children got involved and what their motivation was. It was a pleasant story but left a lot of questions unanswered for me. It felt rushed.

Yeah, I'm not gonna bullshit Im a grown man and I cried when his kid died in his arms. That was heavy.
My only critique would be that the interrogation scene was written in a way that you put it all together way before it's revealed. I figured it out about a minute into the interrogation, but the scene lasted like 10 minutes. it should have been either trimmed down a bit, or written so that the reader puts it together at the same time as the protagonist. I get that he was in denial, but it takes away most of the impact of the reveal when you've already long since figured it out by the time it's acknowledged in the story. Because at that point, the characters are just acknowledging something you've already processed and it feels drawn out.
But know that I only give critical feedback to writers whose work I admire.

Honestly, extremely obvious what was going to happen as soon a the kid said he wanted mom back. Dead girl. Kid says he wants mom back. Ah, yeah, he did a sacrifice.

Hello good Dr., I think you’ve made a good choice in abandoning the practice of a long poem to precede every story. Now Sure, an occasional poem for just the right story, might fit nicely and enhance it. But you know better than most that not all styles and patterns are one size fits all and having a pre-narration poem for every story doesn’t quite work and isn’t a win for each one. So once again, I applaud your choice:)

Such a sad ending, man. The other people around MC/OP are also sus. Like, all these horrible things are happening and there’s no ounce of urgency or concern. Makes me think there’s a bigger conspiracy surrounding everything.
Dr Creepen, you should consider upgrading your microphone and/or audio processing. Your voice is sort of muddled, and the t's, s's, and ch's are overwhelming the overall clarity. ❤

I normally love any story by CC but I didn't care for this one. There were too many things that didnt make sense. Little things really but enough to distract me and take me out of it a bit. Dr C can make any story enjoyable though so still worth the listen!
