I’m 31 & I feel like an old lady myself. I often wonder if certain things I enjoy, like horror stories, won’t be socially acceptable for me to enjoy after a certain age. I often feel strange for even listening to musical artists who are much younger than myself, in their late teens to early twenties, like Olivia Rodrigo. Or that I still enjoy music to which I listened when I was a preteen & teenager. I wonder if I’m supposed to “grow out” of those things. Then I ask myself why I care about what’s “socially acceptable.” Why does it matter? Especially as I doubt it matters to anyone else, & if someone does care, then that shouldn’t matter anyway. I am allowed to enjoy what I enjoy, & there shouldn’t be an age at which I can no longer engage in certain interests. I also don’t think we ever grow out certain things we loved in our youth, not everything as we do indeed move past some things, but other things stick with us for good, just like how someone in their sixties or seventies still enjoys music from the 1960s & 70s, the music from their youth. However, then I think that music from then - like Jimmy Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Doors, etc. - don’t appeal solely to the youth, but it’s music that remains brilliant & appealing in spite of one’s age. Anyway, it’s so cute to bear witness to your excitement over horror stories. But should I not call elderly people cute? Albeit I myself hope I’m a cute elderly person. Though I also cannot imagine myself elderly whatsoever, nor have I ever. I never imagined myself reaching 31, however, so perhaps as I age growing older won’t frighten & unnerve me like it does now. I hope not. I hope I become happier, & I can look back at my life with a smile rather than how I do now, with regret & shame & worry that I’ve wasted & soiled my youth, my only chance at being young having slipped from out of my fingers, time having passed so quickly & without warning… enough self indulgence from me. I hope you both are having a lovely day!

this is one of the most suspenseful creepypastas i’ve listened to in a while. the sound effects are amazing and add to the fear and suspense rather than take away, which is what can happen sometimes if they sound cheap or cheesy. excellent narration and line delivery, 10/10.

Ok, you’ve got me on a Hook Yung Seti, well done! That ending was about as close to actually physically hanging off a cliff as one could do through imagination. So I implore you to pay up in the next chapter! As I am very much invested into this already. So, play your cards right! And Dr Creepen, unsurprisingly, you definitely have given an outstanding performance with this one. Not that you don’t always, however this started off like so many others, and then it picked up some serious speed and BAM! Right into a wall! So I’m currently breathing into a paper bag as my anxiety meds take too long to kick in and this totally just knocked the wind out of me. Extraordinary is (in my opinion) the best way to express my feelings for this beginning to what I hope to be a Home Run.
