That painting was incredible. The lighting and values especially. Your husband must have been really happy to inspire the piece and be a part of your process. Thank you for sharing.
Your perfectionist nature is truly reflected in the very impressive production value of your videos. And this one is particularly well done! Thanks for sharing your day to day life as a full time artist. An extremely enjoyable watch!!😊
I really love your videos. Not only they are great quality when it comes to audio and video, you have very specific cinematic style while you manage to keep it real. I also do love your paintings, but watching your videos somehow soothes my soul. Thank you for that
The storytelling and witty editing on this is excellent. The attention to detail and time spent has definitely paid off! And what a stunning painting too!
Seeing a week in your artistic life felt like a glimpse of sunshine in winter. I've been procrastinating for my art school assignments, losing hope of my painting times. Now, I got some energy to go on as I saw my destination in your video once again.💜 Btw, as a non native speaker, you speak so precise and cheeky in a unique way.😄
Nice video, love the editing! The workshop looked like fun. The lighting mood in the painting was quite enjoyable, especially the right tree in the foreground
Wow Brooke! Your videos are a breath of fresh air: from your personality, to your videography skills, and of course your beautiful artwork!! I love seeing anything you put out and I wish you a wonderful rest of the year 💓🎉!
Hey Brooke, perhaps to you it doesn’t look or feel like a productive and worthwhile way to spend your life working….but man, for me, gruelling away my time behind a desk with strict office hours under the watchfull eyes of … let’s just call it “the devil wears Prada” ( hope you watched that movie, if you haven’t, highly recommended, it will make you appreciate your job and lifestyle forever and more) 😂 I enjoyed this video, it was like you took me to that life I always dream off having, loved loved loved the painting and watching how you do your magic and I enjoy being in your quirky, funny and inspiring company. Thank you for sharing all that with us! Just know your work is appreciated and enjoyed! 10 x 👍!
Thank you for sharing, your videos are fun to watch! I like how you keep it realistic, although your week does seem light ... not stressful with too much on your plate .. ? And yes, as an artist, I also struggle to keep on top of my projects and all the things I need to do to make/market/sell my art. And I don't even do RUclips! I think I might give Notion a try!
Hi, thanks for the video. I wondered if you typically ship things in the mail yourself when it is a limited edition print and I'm guessing most of the rest is fulfilled by shopify? ( I also do not like waisting paint).
Thanks for watching! ☺️ I ship all my paintings and limited edition prints myself in the mail, and I use a print-on-demand company to fulfill my open-edition print orders. I explain this in better detail in this video: ruclips.net/video/0nB8ZT-fxxw/видео.htmlsi=1iWonxjU-JgmbcZj
I really loved this video. Your editing is superb! Also, im also an artist and ive been struggling with mistreating myself mentally for not ackdnowledging that: creating, painting, photographing, uploading, posting etcetera, is actual work. Im having a hard time convincing this side of me that im doing enough and “working” looks differently for everyone. This video just gave me the reassurance i needed!! 🧡 Your days actually look similar to what i usually do - including the baking! 😅 Thank you for this! 🧡✨
Thank you!! I think there’s been a misunderstanding- the link is if you want to try Notion yourself, but it isn’t for downloading my template. Though I have been thinking about making mine available for purchase because I worked so hard on it hahaha, keep an eye out in the next few weeks 👀
Hey my friend!! You have such a beautiful attitude about all of this! I just love your videos! They are so real and refreshing! I am a full time Artist and have been since 2012 with all the highs and lows that come with it! Your videos are such a blessing to see the realness in all of it and not to get discouraged. I thank God for your videos and artistic expression. You are an epic artist and the way you create these video are just perfect! -Jess
@ Thank you so much lovely. You are truly an inspiration to watch- I so can't wait to order from you:) You are a blessing and breath of fresh air to so many-Jess
I have been wondering what you do when you want to seel an oil painting but it isn't fully dry. I was taught that it can take months for oil paintings to dry but I see multiple oil painting artists sell them not long after taking them off the easel. Do you wait for them to fully dry? If not, how do you help prevent them from smudging in shipping?
I use water mixable oils which tend to dry much faster than traditional oils! Because of this I can varnish them and get them on the road usually around 2-3 weeks after completion (depending on how thick my paint application was). Hope that helps!
Funny! I had the same thoughts… woke up thinking it’s been a while since I watched Brooke’s videos, have to check what’s new. I open you tube….there is a video of her. I’m really starting to get suspicious that my IPad can read my mind 😂
thank you for sharing this video Brooke, i really enjoyed it. your art style is beautiful and i love your editing skills. just found your channel and subscribed.
Well done. A very nicely made video. I love the Groundhog Day clock. I especially liked how you edited the section where you were out for a walk, lovely music to match it too. The only surprise, seeing as I know how much you dislike them, was the abundance of scratchy squirrels.
Really enjoyed this video Brooke! New subscriber, for sure. Also, love your hair. By the end, I've convinced myself it might be time to chop my hair. :)
the pallet or what you call it in english with your paint op, it has a lid that you can rip off, can you please post a link to where you bought it? thanks
Fore sure! Here it is: geni.us/v0cE I made a whole video about my art studio essentials, if you're interested - you can find all the links in the video description! ruclips.net/video/yqCm36J1twY/видео.html
Yes I have been thinking about it! It feels a little intimidating selling it, but honestly it’s helped me so so so much this year that I think others would also get value from it too
Hehe yes!!! I love seeing a week of an artists life stream and is so true!! Everyday and everyweek looks so different 😅 thank you so much for sharing! & lol a big yes on the social hour 😂❤❤❤✨🎉. Cheers to many more!
Totally worth my time watching this video. Firstly, it's really well filmed and edited, great storytelling. Secondly, your painting was delightful. And thirdly, that doodle planning thing has me thinking about my own plans for 2025, and I might just doodleplan something for myself. So thankyou for spending those extra weeks putting this small film out onto the internet. Much love xx
I love seeing this! I am currently working towards selling more art, but with two kids and a job it looks totally different and that's ok 🙂. Great video and so well edited I might add.
Here is the link! geni.us/CkD6 It's a "razor blade scraper" - since I mix my paint on a glass surface it's so handy for cleaning! And also so satisfying haha. I made a video about my art studio essentials where I explain it all if you're interested! ruclips.net/video/yqCm36J1twY/видео.html
Thank you for this video, Brooke! It was so fun to watch! I loved the blurred out feet as well 🤣 The video is also really helpful - I‘m one of the aspiring artists who follow you and I‘m also currently doing a course by Tim Packer while simultaneously watching the mentoring sessions that you guys uploaded on RUclips and trying to do what you did with the painting and experimenting. I‘m really thankful to have these as resources and I can really connect with it since you were 23 back then, which I am now. I feel like I have so much to do - increasing my painting skills, photographing skills, in general skills for pretty much everything 😂 I‘m currently working on my biggest comission so far as well and your video about shipping art works gave me the confidence that I‘ll actually be able to figure out how to ship it. I had to devide the painting into three parts so that shipping services would get it from Germany to Norway. Can you ship 3 Canvases in one package? 😅 I guess I‘m not as confident about it as I thought. Anyway - thank you!:-)
That’s so amazing Sophie! Congrats on your big commission! 👏 if it’s three separate canvases, I would probably wrap each one well with bubble wrap, then stack than on top of each other with thick foam board in between, and then get some plastic wrap (or something similar) to secure them all together and then wrapt the whole thing in bubble wrap again! Wouldn’t hurt to secure the top and bottom with more foam board before putting it in the box as well haha - and use a good sturdy box! Hope that helps and good luck with everything!! 🙌
It has organically become a pleasant habit to wait for your videos, each one different from the other, with an evident effort on your part, which is appreciated. This video has a message: no matter how complex it is to do something, as long as it is your purpose in life, you will surely do it with passion and good spirit. I see that you like to read good books, let me recommend this book: The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, by Eckhart Tolle, one of those books that have the capacity to change lives for the better. What a surprise! Brooke speaking Spanish! Excellent for your Spanish-speaking followers. However, I will continue practicing my limited English in the original language, that verbal cadence so characteristic of you is not present in the dubbing and is missed. Excellent video, thank you for sharing your experience!
Thank you Mauricio, I appreciate that 🙏 and I have read The Power of Now several years ago and really liked it - I should read it again! I have to figure out how to turn the automatic dubbing off haha, this is a new feature yt just implemented I think. Your English is fabulous by the way!!
@ Thank you! By the way, I forgot to mention the spectacular result of your painting. You make excellent choices of books. I don't know if you've read The Impersonal Life by Joseph Benner, a work that feels intensely intimate.
I have mad respect for you, your videos are SO, SO good. How often do you have to take takes (lol) to get these shots? Do you make them as you go, or have you scenes in mind, writing them down and filming them afterwards? I am so curious haha. If you don't want to answer, that's fine, too :D And the workshop looked so awesome, I am so sad there isn't a nice community here in my city.... The painting looks magical! The editing of filming it is so satisfying to watch, too.
Thank youuuuu! I really appreciate it 🙏 Honestly I’m still figuring out the best way to shoot and edit haha. I kind of came up with the shot list on the fly as I was doing things - some were more planned out and some more spontaneous! But it all lives inside my Notion planner lol. Concepts, shot lists, scripts, etc. I’m probably not going to make all my videos as detailed as this moving forward because it’s sooo much work, but it is really fun to get creative with it every once in a while!
I always think about making a video like this, but my life as an artist swings back and forth between feral child with no supervision, to actually productive, depending on the month 😂 (the latte at the beginning is the same here too!) Glad to know I’m not such a weirdo lol
Great video that you made. All positive vibes so Awesome. Art life and daily activities and bringing your life in this video are so worth watching. Love it. See you in the next one. Cheers 😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Hey Brook, I discovered your channel during the pandemic, and I absolutely love your content! I’m an artist too, though I never really pursued it seriously. Quick question-do you have help with marketing your projects? Besides email campaigns, what other strategies do you use to sell your paintings? Keep up the amazing work-you’re doing great!
Thanks so much! I appreciate the support 🙏 I don’t have any help with marketing, I’m a one-woman show haha. But besides newsletters, social media (mostly instagram and I guess yt now) is my biggest marketing tool! I just try to consistently post high-quality stuff until it finds the right people. Hope that helps and all the best!
I think you should work on making better thumbnails because this video felt like a hidden gem!! I would’ve never known the greatness inside based on the thumbnail photo.
This video was amazing I really was thinking What’s could be an artist daily life and if it able to be organised? 😅 I’m a mother of four, an employee, a wife who is thinking of becoming a full time artist.
these videos have been so healing for me :,) loved every second of it!! your relationship with your art/career seems so healthy and well balanced. you're def the artist i aspire to be!
i can imaginate life habiting into those magic spaces . Lot of animals! Behind trees, ¿there are some village? Or are enchanted lands of dragons, fayries and wizzards? Is nice to see you and and try to discover the storie Brooke is telling us, in strokes, moments, music and love
I painted full time about 18-years ago, had a bunch of paintings in 2 large galleries, did several art shows a year and nearly starved to death!! I love painting but, virtually no artists actually make a living off their art, they have partners who work full-time that pay the bills, or have a retirement income or inheritance. I made good money some months, selling my artwork, but made nothing many other months. Funny how no artist ever talks about how much they make, net income.
I think it’s natural for your income to fluctuate as an artist, that’s why saving money and financial planning is a valuable skill in the arts haha. But I think there are many examples of people making a living from their art without the aid of a partner or parents; my mentor was one of them and now I am too! I think money is just a taboo subject in general, no matter what your job is. I really admire @KelseyRodriguez in this subject because of her transparency in how she makes money (and how much) as an artist! Might be interesting for you to check out. Thanks for watching Russell! :)
Thanks for watching! Notion can be a bit overwhelming when you’re starting from scratch - it took me a long time to get to a point where I’m happy with my workspace and everything functions properly! That’s why I’m considering making mine available for purchase in case people don’t want to go through the hassle of building their own 😅
🤯🤯🤯🤯Awe I love your videos, but since when there is an automatic and pretty horrible translation in German with a creepy annoying AI Voice… I loved your humour and voice, pronunciation and tone. How can I turn off the generic AI translation??????😢 Can’t watch the video with that ai voice 😭😭😭😭
That painting was incredible. The lighting and values especially. Your husband must have been really happy to inspire the piece and be a part of your process. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! ☺️ Yes we were very excited to “collaborate” on a piece together haha - hopefully not our last!
Your perfectionist nature is truly reflected in the very impressive production value of your videos. And this one is particularly well done! Thanks for sharing your day to day life as a full time artist. An extremely enjoyable watch!!😊
Thank you so much Bob! 🙏 I guess perfectionism pays off from time to time haha. Have a great weekend and thanks for watching!!

I always think about making a video like this, but my life as an artist swings back and forth between feral child with no supervision, to actually productive, depending on the month 😂 (the latte at the beginning is the same here too!) Glad to know I’m not such a weirdo lol
Haha every artist has their seasons; maybe you should do a “year in my life as an artist” to show them all! 😂
Great video that you made. All positive vibes so Awesome. Art life and daily activities and bringing your life in this video are so worth watching. Love it. See you in the next one. Cheers 😎😎😎🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for watching! I appreciate it! 🤗
Positive and encouraging comment for algorithm and vibe purposes. Keep on keepin on!
You know I appreciate every single comment and good vibe sent my way 🙏 thanks Jake!
Corporate work life would generate a small explosion.
Saudades de Toronto.
Brilliant. Subbed!
Thank you!! 🙏
I think you should work on making better thumbnails because this video felt like a hidden gem!! I would’ve never known the greatness inside based on the thumbnail photo.
But you still clicked it didn’t you 😉😉
Beautiful painting!
Thank you so much! 🙏

Tysm 🥲
Thanks for a fun and engaging video ! 😊
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you liked it ☺️
This video was amazing I really was thinking What’s could be an artist daily life and if it able to be organised? 😅 I’m a mother of four, an employee, a wife who is thinking of becoming a full time artist.
Would you ever consider mentorship’s in the future? ☺️
Inspiring video. Make myself get cracking. Great art work.
Thanks a lot Karen! ☺️
You sleep from 10 30 to 8am and STILL hit snooze sometimes?! 😮😮 Oh my....how luxurious lol. Great video! 😂👏🏽

@@b.cormier Oh, you are so welcome. 🙂
It's one of the best ways to have a life as an fulltime artist: To live it the healthy way with lots of fun. 😊

Thank you so much Tanner! Means a lot coming from such a talented storyteller 🙌
Thanks for the poem!!
i can imaginate life habiting into those magic spaces . Lot of animals! Behind trees, ¿there are some village? Or are enchanted lands of dragons, fayries and wizzards? Is nice to see you and and try to discover the storie Brooke is telling us, in strokes, moments, music and love
So nice! Thank you! 🙏
♥️ love you
I painted full time about 18-years ago, had a bunch of paintings in 2 large galleries, did several art shows a year and nearly starved to death!!
Make the ornament video into a IG reel! lol. Me giving advice here 😅
Ouu definitely will do this!!
You balance the mic in your cup of coffee? I like your style
Luckily it’s a clip so I don’t have to worry about falling in 😅
fun video ..ty :)
Thanks for watching!
Great video, I'm also an artist and I drink cappuccino in the morning❤
Yes!! I would die without my milk frother hahaha
@ Exactly! If I run out of milk, I keep cream powder for just in case.)
Yay, cribbage.
Only someone who knows the game could see how terrible my hand was hahah
🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿
Hi!
HI!!
I told my husband I was going upstairs to read..😅 and I’m clearly on my phone instead
Hahaha we have all been there 🤣
waking up to this is cosy 😊 Still trying to make Notion work for me.
P.S Proud of You. Cheers 🥂
Thanks for watching! Notion can be a bit overwhelming when you’re starting from scratch - it took me a long time to get to a point where I’m happy with my workspace and everything functions properly! That’s why I’m considering making mine available for purchase in case people don’t want to go through the hassle of building their own 😅
I really like you but please don’t speak lazy style
Does this mean don’t speak slowly? 😂
🤯🤯🤯🤯Awe I love your videos, but since when there is an automatic and pretty horrible translation in German with a creepy annoying AI Voice… I loved your humour and voice, pronunciation and tone. How can I turn off the generic AI translation??????😢
Can’t watch the video with that ai voice 😭😭😭😭
Omg das muss neu sein 😂 Geh bei dem Video auf Einstellungen -> Audiotrack -> english (original)
Thanks so much better 🙏
I had no idea I could speak such fluent German! 😂 this must be a new feature on RUclips haha, thank you Anika for helping!!
Thank you for this very nice « editing » ! Love Watching your videos ! Love your sense of humor 😂
