The storytelling and witty editing on this is excellent. The attention to detail and time spent has definitely paid off! And what a stunning painting too!
That painting was incredible. The lighting and values especially. Your husband must have been really happy to inspire the piece and be a part of your process. Thank you for sharing.
I really love your videos. Not only they are great quality when it comes to audio and video, you have very specific cinematic style while you manage to keep it real. I also do love your paintings, but watching your videos somehow soothes my soul. Thank you for that
Your perfectionist nature is truly reflected in the very impressive production value of your videos. And this one is particularly well done! Thanks for sharing your day to day life as a full time artist. An extremely enjoyable watch!!😊
Thank you for this wonderful work of art! I appreciate you putting your efforts into editing, storytelling and being vulnerable in sharing what your week looks like. I learned something about a day as a full-time artist. This is awesome!
I just stumbled across this video and your channel, and I just loved everything about it-your painting 😍, the editing, and also that you’re a fellow Canadian!
I have been following you for the last two years since you started again uploading content and I have to say that I honestly love all the things you upload. Thank you for this channel and all the things you do. This video was amazing and I loved almost everything about it!
This was such an interesting video to watch to get insight into a realistic week as an artist (which of course will vary week to week). I really loved how you do not CRAM your days and do endless hours of painting each day - the work life balance really shined through. Also, you seem to be very professional rather than new to editing - absolutely amazed at the attention to detail - even the way you captured walking on the street to and from the post office 😮👏🏾
Wow Brooke! Your videos are a breath of fresh air: from your personality, to your videography skills, and of course your beautiful artwork!! I love seeing anything you put out and I wish you a wonderful rest of the year 💓🎉!
I love your videos, they are so well written and edited. So happy that you bless us with your content! :) Also so wholesome to get a glimpse into your life. Congrats on the sale and the stunning new painting!
You cannot imagine how helpful and inspiring this video is. Learning that other, ore amazing artists have the same routine as me is so encouraging. I am grateful!
I absolutely loved that painting. And I was very impressed with the production quality of your video. You always do a great job, but this one was spectacular! As always, I look forward to the next video!
Lovely painting from a perfect photo. You are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world, Brooke, where there are so many scenes just waiting to be painted. The one photo of the golden leaves in the sunset is magical, somewhere around 11:49 of the video where you went for a walk. ❤❤. Just waiting to be painted.
Hi Brooke, I have been watching your videos for about a year, starting with the one you did about your journey to grow your IG account. You're so much fun to watch: funny, informative, and genuine. You inspire me as an artist and now a content creator! Your editing is awesome! (I hate editing, but I love how you get creative with it and have your own video style) Keep up the great work, and best of luck in your continued career as an amazing artist!
these videos have been so healing for me :,) loved every second of it!! your relationship with your art/career seems so healthy and well balanced. you're def the artist i aspire to be!
Seeing a week in your artistic life felt like a glimpse of sunshine in winter. I've been procrastinating for my art school assignments, losing hope of my painting times. Now, I got some energy to go on as I saw my destination in your video once again.💜 Btw, as a non native speaker, you speak so precise and cheeky in a unique way.😄
Nice video, love the editing! The workshop looked like fun. The lighting mood in the painting was quite enjoyable, especially the right tree in the foreground
I’m an artist finally taking the leap into selling my art online. I’m curious, how long did it take you to build your social following and to sell enough art to be able to financially sustain you full time?
Awesome, congrats! I grew my audience to 100k on instagram about 1.5 years into painting full time and that’s about the time when I could start sustaining myself - before then I was lucky to be living at home with my parents and could keep my expenses low so I could save money and dedicate all my time into my art career!
Thank you for sharing, your videos are fun to watch! I like how you keep it realistic, although your week does seem light ... not stressful with too much on your plate .. ? And yes, as an artist, I also struggle to keep on top of my projects and all the things I need to do to make/market/sell my art. And I don't even do RUclips! I think I might give Notion a try!
Thanks so much! Like I said at the beginning of the video, every week looks different, some are lighter and some are heavier - I definitely still get stressed, but I think that’s the same in any profession haha. Notion has certainly helped me! It’s practically my second brain now 😅
What a delight you are. Thank you for sharing. I am also a full time artist - sharing time between painting, showing, keeping website updated, teaching ... like you said - no two days are the same. Thank you again. 🌠🎨🖌 Lovely painting!!
girl! you're really good at making these videos! I mean if you're new to this skill you must know that you've got the talent ! I rarely watch a vlog until the very end! but I've watched the whole thing, didn't even press skip once! well done! cant wait to see more of your videos! "great painting btw"
Thank you so much! 🫶 I love Notion! It’s been so helpful once I created a system that works for me. It’s free to sign up and try it yourself, but I’ll also be selling my own template starting Dec 20th if you’re interested! I’ll post a video explaining exactly how it works so you can decide if it’s right for you ☺️
Well this video will be saved on my playlist for inspiration for my art career :) Thank you so much for sharing and being honest with all of us :) Love your style of videos Brooke
Thank you for this Brooke. It's reassuring to know I'm doing all the right things to being a full time artist. I'm in my second year with being full time and it's a slow road at the moment but it's good to know I'm on the right path and I'm doing the right things 😅✌️ Love your work and everything you do, massive talent! ❤️
Excellent and entertaining. The feet blur was 🤣 and that forest photo is beautiful and then your painting... wonderful! Thank you for sharing your week.
Hey my friend!! You have such a beautiful attitude about all of this! I just love your videos! They are so real and refreshing! I am a full time Artist and have been since 2012 with all the highs and lows that come with it! Your videos are such a blessing to see the realness in all of it and not to get discouraged. I thank God for your videos and artistic expression. You are an epic artist and the way you create these video are just perfect! -Jess
@ Thank you so much lovely. You are truly an inspiration to watch- I so can't wait to order from you:) You are a blessing and breath of fresh air to so many-Jess
@b.cormier I should be the one thanking you! As a Filipina mom who have very limited opportunity in doing what you do there, just wanna say SALAMAT for sharing snippets of your life. It made me start my day with a happy heart. Keep loving life, Brooke. ❤️
Funny! I had the same thoughts… woke up thinking it’s been a while since I watched Brooke’s videos, have to check what’s new. I open you tube….there is a video of her. I’m really starting to get suspicious that my IPad can read my mind 😂
Hey Brooke, perhaps to you it doesn’t look or feel like a productive and worthwhile way to spend your life working….but man, for me, gruelling away my time behind a desk with strict office hours under the watchfull eyes of … let’s just call it “the devil wears Prada” ( hope you watched that movie, if you haven’t, highly recommended, it will make you appreciate your job and lifestyle forever and more) 😂 I enjoyed this video, it was like you took me to that life I always dream off having, loved loved loved the painting and watching how you do your magic and I enjoy being in your quirky, funny and inspiring company. Thank you for sharing all that with us! Just know your work is appreciated and enjoyed! 10 x 👍!
I really loved this video. Your editing is superb! Also, im also an artist and ive been struggling with mistreating myself mentally for not ackdnowledging that: creating, painting, photographing, uploading, posting etcetera, is actual work. Im having a hard time convincing this side of me that im doing enough and “working” looks differently for everyone. This video just gave me the reassurance i needed!! 🧡 Your days actually look similar to what i usually do - including the baking! 😅 Thank you for this! 🧡✨
A superb film and wonderfully presented. I also appreciate the effort in shooting a video like this. So much b roll is needed to make it look as good as this. I’d also like to be a full-time artist, but I can’t see how the week you’ve described could bring in the circa £400 (about $500) a day I need to keep the family on its feet and a roof over our heads.
Thanks a lot! I appreciate when people can see the work that goes into my videos 🙏 Personally, I don’t have a family to care for so it’s certainly a different situation, and I can see the pressure to provide being quite stressful. But to give you some context, I sold the painting I made in this video for $695 (which I finished in a couple days), I made a print sale ($220) and am making money from RUclips Adsense and sponsorships. My income varies from month to month, but with having multiple revenue streams and good savings habits, it’s enough to live comfortably and enjoy my work+life, which is my priority! I hope these insights are encouraging and I wish you all the best with your artistic journey 🙏
Well done. A very nicely made video. I love the Groundhog Day clock. I especially liked how you edited the section where you were out for a walk, lovely music to match it too. The only surprise, seeing as I know how much you dislike them, was the abundance of scratchy squirrels.
Totally worth my time watching this video. Firstly, it's really well filmed and edited, great storytelling. Secondly, your painting was delightful. And thirdly, that doodle planning thing has me thinking about my own plans for 2025, and I might just doodleplan something for myself. So thankyou for spending those extra weeks putting this small film out onto the internet. Much love xx
That was a nice breakdown of what goes behind your work and your day. The shots and editing were perfect, and the music for the mood setting was just right. It would be best if you did more of these for us peasants :D
thank you for sharing this video Brooke, i really enjoyed it. your art style is beautiful and i love your editing skills. just found your channel and subscribed.
Really enjoyed this video Brooke! New subscriber, for sure. Also, love your hair. By the end, I've convinced myself it might be time to chop my hair. :)
As a 24 years-old artist, about to finish my degree. What makes me the most curious is how other artists take off in their careers. Meaning, that time where you don´t have a fanbase, yet you are starting to move into the art world. Maybe working on somehting else, maybe doing gigs of something not entirely related, maybe going to art fairs, etc. I am sooo curious about that.
I think that’s interesting too! If you’d like to hear more about my personal experience of how I got started, I made a whole video about it: ruclips.net/video/7YRP3VWzPF4/видео.htmlsi=X3fqv0OByvHWs9lj
Hehe yes!!! I love seeing a week of an artists life stream and is so true!! Everyday and everyweek looks so different 😅 thank you so much for sharing! & lol a big yes on the social hour 😂❤❤❤✨🎉. Cheers to many more!
I have mad respect for you, your videos are SO, SO good. How often do you have to take takes (lol) to get these shots? Do you make them as you go, or have you scenes in mind, writing them down and filming them afterwards? I am so curious haha. If you don't want to answer, that's fine, too :D And the workshop looked so awesome, I am so sad there isn't a nice community here in my city.... The painting looks magical! The editing of filming it is so satisfying to watch, too.
Thank youuuuu! I really appreciate it 🙏 Honestly I’m still figuring out the best way to shoot and edit haha. I kind of came up with the shot list on the fly as I was doing things - some were more planned out and some more spontaneous! But it all lives inside my Notion planner lol. Concepts, shot lists, scripts, etc. I’m probably not going to make all my videos as detailed as this moving forward because it’s sooo much work, but it is really fun to get creative with it every once in a while!
your week is so peaceful and wholesome. I hope that I will get to where you are at one day. A day where I do not feel like i'm walking on egg shell and where my boss do not reprimand me because of my poor performance due to my debilitating health condition. A place where I can find peace doing the things i enjoy and find meaning in.
Love your editing, art & channel. You are inspiring. And I always thought I have a real problem being structured... but it seems like almost every artist struggles with this! I use a notion template since a while and love it! But I would love to make it even better using my very own template... but the time for it... 😅😂 Also... you are new to editing videos? I thought you are doing it really great and with a lot of experience! Really great ❤
Thank you so much! That means a lot 🙏 Yes Notion can be quite time consuming when you are starting from scratch haha, I think that's why people often choose to purchase templates to save themselves the headache!
It has organically become a pleasant habit to wait for your videos, each one different from the other, with an evident effort on your part, which is appreciated. This video has a message: no matter how complex it is to do something, as long as it is your purpose in life, you will surely do it with passion and good spirit. I see that you like to read good books, let me recommend this book: The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment, by Eckhart Tolle, one of those books that have the capacity to change lives for the better. What a surprise! Brooke speaking Spanish! Excellent for your Spanish-speaking followers. However, I will continue practicing my limited English in the original language, that verbal cadence so characteristic of you is not present in the dubbing and is missed. Excellent video, thank you for sharing your experience!
Thank you Mauricio, I appreciate that 🙏 and I have read The Power of Now several years ago and really liked it - I should read it again! I have to figure out how to turn the automatic dubbing off haha, this is a new feature yt just implemented I think. Your English is fabulous by the way!!
@ Thank you! By the way, I forgot to mention the spectacular result of your painting. You make excellent choices of books. I don't know if you've read The Impersonal Life by Joseph Benner, a work that feels intensely intimate.
The storytelling and witty editing on this is excellent. The attention to detail and time spent has definitely paid off! And what a stunning painting too!
Thank you! I really appreciate that 💛
I‘m so glad you‘re making these Videos, every single one is SO nice to watch! The effort is really appreciated :)
Thank you so much! 🥹 I really appreciate that!
That painting was incredible. The lighting and values especially. Your husband must have been really happy to inspire the piece and be a part of your process. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! ☺️ Yes we were very excited to “collaborate” on a piece together haha - hopefully not our last!
I really love your videos. Not only they are great quality when it comes to audio and video, you have very specific cinematic style while you manage to keep it real. I also do love your paintings, but watching your videos somehow soothes my soul. Thank you for that
Thank you so much 🥹 honestly it’s so nice to hear that, especially when I feel like I’m still kinda finding my filming/editing style!
Your perfectionist nature is truly reflected in the very impressive production value of your videos. And this one is particularly well done! Thanks for sharing your day to day life as a full time artist. An extremely enjoyable watch!!😊
Thank you so much Bob! 🙏 I guess perfectionism pays off from time to time haha. Have a great weekend and thanks for watching!!

Four minutes in . . . you holding a brush in the same place, while new bits suddenly appear above it on the canvas . . . you are a magician.

Hello! What if you are shipping multiple prints 3 same size (16x20) and one a little smaller (11x14)?
Check out my video on how I ship my fine art prints :) I would recommend shipping in a tube!
My favorite youtuber has released another great video.🤩

Hope you all. are doing great. Been watching Brooke's art for years :)
Thank you thank you thank you!!

Tysm 🥲
Totally worth my time watching this video. Firstly, it's really well filmed and edited, great storytelling. Secondly, your painting was delightful. And thirdly, that doodle planning thing has me thinking about my own plans for 2025, and I might just doodleplan something for myself. So thankyou for spending those extra weeks putting this small film out onto the internet. Much love xx
So glad you enjoyed it 🫶 thanks for watching and happy planning!!
That was a nice breakdown of what goes behind your work and your day. The shots and editing were perfect, and the music for the mood setting was just right. It would be best if you did more of these for us peasants :D
Haha thank you so much! 🙏 I definitely will make more of this style video in the future (but they’re so much work that I can’t do them all the time 😅)
sooooo well thoughtout and shot!!!:) go brooke go

Really enjoyed this video Brooke! New subscriber, for sure. Also, love your hair. By the end, I've convinced myself it might be time to chop my hair. :)
Yayy thank you for subscribing! 💛 ahhh I cut mine earlier this year and had NO regrets, I’m sure you won’t either! Short hair club 👊
@@b.cormier Thank youuu🫶

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it ☺️
I really looking forward to your videos! Another great one :)
Thank you! So happy to hear that ☺️
Thanks for this video🥰
Your Notion is so beautiful! I will be glad if you tell more about your system in it)
Thank you! It took a while to get it to a place where now I love it 🙌 I’d be happy to make a more in-depth video in the near future!
So much of this resonates! Ah the artists life! 😂
Hahah amen!
Saudades de Toronto.
Ahhh I LOVED this video ☺️🙌
Thank you!! 🥰
I really appreciate it 🙏
Honestly I’m still figuring out the best way to shoot and edit haha.
Your video’s are sometimes almost like a short movie amazing!
Haha thank you so much! 🥲
your week is so peaceful and wholesome. I hope that I will get to where you are at one day. A day where I do not feel like i'm walking on egg shell and where my boss do not reprimand me because of my poor performance due to my debilitating health condition. A place where I can find peace doing the things i enjoy and find meaning in.
I hope that for you too! 🙏
💜 inspired by you! Thanks for creating this
Thanks for spending the time with me! 🫶
Love your editing, art & channel. You are inspiring. And I always thought I have a real problem being structured... but it seems like almost every artist struggles with this! I use a notion template since a while and love it! But I would love to make it even better using my very own template... but the time for it... 😅😂
Also... you are new to editing videos? I thought you are doing it really great and with a lot of experience! Really great ❤
Thank you so much! That means a lot 🙏
Yes Notion can be quite time consuming when you are starting from scratch haha, I think that's why people often choose to purchase templates to save themselves the headache!
Positive and encouraging comment for algorithm and vibe purposes. Keep on keepin on!
You know I appreciate every single comment and good vibe sent my way 🙏 thanks Jake!
First time viewer and enjoyed this so much!! Absolutely not related to art but would love to know the makeup you use 😄
Thank you so much! 😊 and haha I use a variety of brands (Merit, Nars, and things I find at shoppers drug mart lol)
@@b.cormier Really kind of you to reply! Thank you for sharing 🥰
