I don't understand why this episode and season 3 as a whole is receiving so much negative criticism, I guess people have this over exaggerated ideas of how good previous seasons were because that's all they've had for the past 2 years but I think season 3 has been great so far
Is it just me or did he completely miss all of the suicide squad references? Seriously? CrocUBot Killer Croc and Cyborg? Lady Katana. *"This is Katana. She's got my back. I would advise not getting killed by her. Her sword traps the souls of its victims."* ? Diablo Verde El Diablo? And Calypso might be a reference to enchantress.
I like how this is vindacators 3 and morty is upset he missed 2 just like the audience missed vindacators 1 an awesome adventure that would be cool to see.
Cilloxi Rick isn't powerful or strong. He's the most intelligent being in all universes at once. He has the power to "do everything" because there isn't anything he can't build.
One question. Did anyone notice how calm morty was about disarming the neutrino bomb... Even rick was shocked! I think it shows just how toxic rick's excessive alcoholism is getting.
In the first room Rick says he will unplug the screen, but never did. And the last video, for Noop Noop, was the only one, not filmed in the garage, but more like a cave area. Maybe he changed it so Morty does not know how much Rick really likes him.
I loved how rick says I refuse to aknowlage a literal call to adventure. What is a reference to the hero with a thousand faces. A heros journey. I love it because the fase after call to adventure is refusal of the call. So rick acts like he doesnt want to fit in that role but yet he does
I love the episode referencing characters not returning for the second adventure. It's like how movie characters don't appear in the sequel because their real life actors are busy or can't do a second movie.
Well rick could destroy a planet in 2 seconds if he wanted to Also "Supernova" does mean the death of a star so lots of planets are destroyed consequently
I thought it was very very interesting how they referenced episode 1's 'Drunken nutrino bomb building' where rick rambles on and on about blowing up the planet before the title sequence starts. Then in this episode morty goes to disarm a nutrino bomb, that was also made by a rick who was drunk, and replied "TOO MANY!" when rick asks how many of these drunken bombs he's actuallymade before...
It never came out. Because I refuse to believe the end of The X-Men is ... all mutants die off because of a toxin in water ... that's the lamest way to end an entire Super hero team ... well, except for blowing them all up with mind powers by accident.
Another kind of subtle but obvious reference is the whole idea of Rick recording himself sitting in a room full of a bunch of old junk and materials in the back, which is very reminiscent of saw. In the video recordings in the movies, it always depicts the doll in a room full of materials and scraps used by jigsaw. As well as drunk Rick being Rick's sort of "alter ego", which can also be considered a parallel to jigsaw himself and the doll.
I think when they said the vinidcators were a phase they probably just meant super hero movies are a phase. talking about mcu phases is over thinking it
I feel a million ants and that star girl are more similar to the vision and scarlet witch because there both quiet calm and power full and the girls both share strong powers being controlled by their emotions
TacoPocalypse maybe their relationship but not character built wise. Million ants is a Groot/Antman reference and Super Nova was a star fire/phoenix reference
morty is gaining confidence as rick is LOSING his. morty is getting smarter and rick is becoming so much more scared about losing him it hurts my heartstrings.
my favorite part of this episode is when morty was like “take this serious” or whatever and rick was like “oh gotta take it real serious, real fuckin on alert.”
There is also a reference to the first episode in this. Morty says when Rick is drunk, his bombs malfunction. This is probably what happened at the beginning of the first episode.
I think it's worth pointing out that in all the marvel and DC villains who have the ability to end world's are killed in the one movie. But, in civil war, a villain with no super powers archives his goal by breaking up the hero's team and survives to fight another day. Much like what Rick does in this episode.
Maybe drunks rick intention was actually good? He wanted morty to solve all the puzzles easily (all the tasks were super easy) and enjoy a wild party at the end? But rock's plan for a super easy fun mission for morty back fired when the vindicaters started losing it...
Did he not realized Alan Rails’s name is a very obvious innuendo? Also, when Rick states that he often gets high with some of his former enemies, he’s referencing the post-credits scene from “The Lawnmower Dog”.
People keep saying it's a parody of the Avengers, and I kind of see why. Mostly from the name and the logo. But if I'm being honest, it reminded me more of Guardians of the Galaxy. World-Ender = Thanos Maximus Renegade Starsoldier = Star Lord Crocubot = Rocket Racoon Million Ants = Groot Alan Rails = Drax
Rick's definitely a bigger world-ender in this episode because, to prove a point, he risked blowing up the entire planet and maybe even solar system because he, to quote, "eye-balled the neutrino bombs"
i noticed that the last video, after Morty goes on that ride, is not shot in the garage, it looks like it's shot in the Worldender's lair. when the first trap was sprung Rick went away and said that 'he will find a way to turn that off' but he doesn't, and when he returns he doesn't even say why. maybe he was shooting a video for the ride at the end, one that didn't expose his fondness for Morty so much? idk, just a theory. great video!
Just a fun little thing I noticed: Alan Rails's power is summoning a ghost train, and the first song recorded by the band Gorillaz is called "Ghost Train".
There's a scene where "Million-Ants" said that he senses an evil presence more sinister than "Worldender", then comes in Rick through the wide-screen. Yes, Rick is THE world ender.
It's not really a reference at all when all they talk about is defense budgets and political stuff. I know Roiland has met Ethan but theres no indication that its a reference at all it's just that israel is a place of controversy
I think Rick knew about Vindicators 2 already... when Morty was reading about it in bed he said that "a bunch of them got killed too"... just saying 3 of them died... and Rick responds a moment later after Morty suggests they weren't invited because of a personality conflict, "they wanted to not need me so bad that they murdered three innocent heroes of color and still had to bring me back"... notice here that he states that the Vindicators murdered the 3 heroes, but the Vindicators don't fess up to it until Dorian 5 is mentioned in the Saw game where Crocubot was killed
ok but did anyone think about how (when ZOOMED and ENHANCED) on the cardboard cut outs, there's a cutout of a giant praying mantis and the girl fighting by it. leads me to believe she might've died by going back to rick and morty's original universe
THIS IS WHY THE POLITICAL STATE OF AMERICA IS CRUMBLING BENEATH OUR FEET, LESSER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO RULE OUR COUNTRY FOR MILLENNIA, AND IT NEEDS TO STOP
I know Dan Harmon from Community and his podcasts. I'm convinced all this stuff is in there with very specific reasons. Harmon gives structure to Roiland's zany chaos.

Deadelven Vividari this should be too comment mate
Also, supernova's tiara is like enchantress's
Supernova destroyed a planet to get to a shape shifting monster, Rick does it for fun or drunkenness or some shit.
supernova is based on nebula from captain simian and the space monkeys, who is half human and half black hole!
I like how this is vindacators 3 and morty is upset he missed 2 just like the audience missed vindacators 1 an awesome adventure that would be cool to see.
Isnt rick techniquely a universe ender?
Rick is God, Allah and Messiah himself.
....and the devil too
if Rick could end a universe and Supernova could end Rick, whats stopping Supernova from ending a universe too?

NOTICE HOW MORTY IS NOW ACTING BASED ON THE IDEALS HE LEARNED FROM RICK OVER THE PAST SEASONS? HE'S GETTING SMARTER, ULTIMATELY BECOMING EVIL MORTY!!
Theory: All mortys are ricks
All morty from the future are Rick and they go in future to be come his own grandad
the creators already disproved this theory
No, I think Evil Morty was just a Morty that was probably treated like shit by his Rick probably a lot more worse than any of the other Mortys
Chi Acolyte Like Rick hasn't done that?
Diablo Verde=El Diablo
Lady Katana=Katana
Both are Suicide Squad Members.
Idk about Calypso tho
Calypso = enchantress i guess ?
Sepanta Payghamy I do think that Calypso might be a Cyclops reference due to their very similar names.
Sepanta Payghamy Calypso is probably enchantress because an enchantress seduces men and that's all calypso does in the Odyssey
Enchantress maybe?
hockeychecks22
No, he's not.

Is It weird that Mr jellybean was the reason I started watching Rick n morty?
Just remember to consider everyone's thoughts and emotions. Also wear a condom.
Ermmmm I don't think that's a very good thing
No?
Yes it is
God damn
Didn't Morty also choose to do the Purge World adventure. They were going to leave and he forced Rick to go back and help
That wasnt on his card.
JackWhoDoesMusic but he blackmailed him
Neo Sabien yeah but morty didnt want to go to that planet in the first place.
Chase Olson he didn't choose it though and y'know rick actually enjoyed it
Rick wanted to watch the Purge
Well rick could destroy a planet in 2 seconds if he wanted to
Also "Supernova" does mean the death of a star so lots of planets are destroyed consequently

I think this is from the trailer that came out in 2016
Fred Gräf I think it that trailer came out in January.
It never came out. Because I refuse to believe the end of The X-Men is ... all mutants die off because of a toxin in water ... that's the lamest way to end an entire Super hero team ... well, except for blowing them all up with mind powers by accident.
Fred Gräf yeh but the movie came out in 2017. The trailer was a scene from the movie.
Good for him
I think when Morty was talking about the deaths of the teamates it might be a reference to suicide squad

Stop looking for hidden layers and just be impressed.
What's up with that helmet he was working on in the beginning I've seen it in the past few episodes
Sucide helmet. Possible.
I think it was the helmet that the dog made to be able to speak
The fun helmet. Hook it up to a light switch and it transports you to the fun dimension
It's the suicide helmet search it up he tried to kill himself but failed
What if this whole season is a prequel to evil Morty? It's getting pretty dark for Morty these days.
I feel a million ants and that star girl are more similar to the vision and scarlet witch because there both quiet calm and power full and the girls both share strong powers being controlled by their emotions
Plus, Scarlet Witch's pregnancy did not go well. She did have them reincarnated though.
TacoPocalypse maybe their relationship but not character built wise. Million ants is a Groot/Antman reference and Super Nova was a star fire/phoenix reference
GOOOOOOODDDDDDDD DAYYYYMMMMNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!
My reaction when I saw this video in my recommended 😂
morty is gaining confidence as rick is LOSING his. morty is getting smarter and rick is becoming so much more scared about losing him it hurts my heartstrings.
Diablo Verde is the Verde sauce from taco Bell... RIP ♥️
my favorite part of this episode is when morty was like “take this serious” or whatever and rick was like “oh gotta take it real serious, real fuckin on alert.”
There is also a reference to the first episode in this. Morty says when Rick is drunk, his bombs malfunction. This is probably what happened at the beginning of the first episode.

Rick. Rick is definitely the biggest world ender of them all. I don't know exactly where he's returning from though...

Notice Rick isn't breaking out of those handcuffs like he did in season 1 episode 10.
Because those were just normal handcuffs. The ones in this ep were cosmic handcuffs that Supernova made.

No the end was meant for newb newb from the beginning in a removed line it was mentioned that newb newb and Morty weigh the same
People keep saying it's a parody of the Avengers, and I kind of see why. Mostly from the name and the logo. But if I'm being honest, it reminded me more of Guardians of the Galaxy.
World-Ender = Thanos
Maximus Renegade Starsoldier = Star Lord
Crocubot = Rocket Racoon
Million Ants = Groot
Alan Rails = Drax
I think that Supernova is also meant to take inspiration from Starfire of the Teen Titans from the DC universe...
Clood Streef true
My favorite train catch line is, "All aboard MotherFuckker!"
And they made a lot of fun of guardians of the galaxy not just avengers
Rick's definitely a bigger world-ender in this episode because, to prove a point, he risked blowing up the entire planet and maybe even solar system because he, to quote, "eye-balled the neutrino bombs"
I think El Diablo Verde and Lady Katana is a reference to El Diablo and Katana from Suicide Squad.
My favourite detail is that the ghost train conductor might be inspired by SOUL TRAIN!
What about the first episode where he was going to get jessica for morty blow up the world
Nobody knows.
Yes I was waiting for this

Yeesssss was waiting for this and thought about it today multiple times XD
I think that this takes place in Evil Mortys dimension. That's why rick said that he didn't know Morty that well
He was talking about noop noop
The Beanie Lord he was talking about noop noop
God damn

Nice!
Rick is basically the Deadpool of the Vindicators.
Ever notice how the vindicators resemble ball Fondlers ?
Justin Roiland said that while the vindicators was an amalgamation of many hero teams he had The Authority stand out when creating the vindicators.
Haha, it's always Rick! Get shwifty!
I just rewatched this and the episode itself before I watch Vindicators 2
i think the katana, Diablo , and Calypso is a reference to the Suicide Squad, dont know about the Calypso one
I am loving this season so far!!
Anyone else thing the lost Vindicator, Diablo Verde, is a riff on Taco Bell replacing Verde sauce with Diablo sauce?
Good theory..
DC comics Blue Devil. Diablo Azul.
"With Rick trapping a pseudo Avengers in a violent Saw scenario"
The Vindicators were clearly a Guardians of the Galaxy parody
thats literally the point of the episode
every super hero team is the exact same thing
Lady Katana and Diablo is a reference to Suicide Squad
s*** i thought i was the only one that realised that i guess no ones special
Just a fun little thing I noticed: Alan Rails's power is summoning a ghost train, and the first song recorded by the band Gorillaz is called "Ghost Train".
1:42 those worms are in the food chain. give me a prize.
Ian Nugs hollyvFUUUUUCK i did not notice that!!
Ian Nugs wait what food chain??
One of my favorite episodes ever!
he forgot candy (from gravity falls) in background of party scene
where??
There's a scene where "Million-Ants" said that he senses an evil presence more sinister than "Worldender", then comes in Rick through the wide-screen. Yes, Rick is THE world ender.
He was probably just being dramatic. But yes rick is the most powerful being in the universe.
My favorite episode just because of logic
Ben McDevitt fuckin right
The reason that Morty survived the final puzzle was because he is the same height and weight as Nub Nub.
When they were talking about Israel is was a subtle reference to h3h3
omg i just realised hahah
It's not really a reference at all when all they talk about is defense budgets and political stuff. I know Roiland has met Ethan but theres no indication that its a reference at all it's just that israel is a place of controversy
Youre right, Justin and Ethan arent friends. Ethan never lived in Israel or met Hila in Israel. And Justin didnt make a vape nation reference in 3x02
no its not, it's a reference to the REAL LIFE Rick Sanchez who said controversial things about Israel on CNN and got fired.
Sandstorm wtf i watch everything talking about Rick and Morty i didn't get it, i guess it's obvious for american but impossible to guess for europeans
Love how EA Voss commented on Vat of Chemicals...didn't know it would be an emmy nominated episode later.
Notification squad ?
I called that Morty would be in charge of this adventure before episode 2 aired. I was so excited to see my theory confirmed. ^____^
Isn't the vendicatores somehow a version of ball fondlers in session 1 and 2
As soon as u said "this weapon is maybe foreshadowing the next episode", my tv played the next episode's trailer.
God dayum!
The real emotion bit at 6:55 had me roooolllllling!
Rick,he killed someone called "worldender" drunk
I hope Supernova comes back. She's a corrupt superhero, I need this in my life!
