It was probably just filled up. Every car I owned will go 50 miles before the guage moves if you go until the pump clicks. The fuel is higher than the float can read.

I've never driven one so can't comment on how they drive, but for looks I would say it's the best looking type r for me. I think a lot of the hate came from car journos since the ep3 was so good to drive. But all honda's respond really well to mods anyway, so stock figures never really mean much in the long term.
i drove all typer's and i can confirm,that FN2 from 2006 is still worse than my Accord Typer from 1999 it also lost race with my almost stock Civic EK4 with B16 yes,this is the worst typer ever

I know I'm biased cuz I have one but the k20 is one of the best engines ever built. Misha becomes one when he drives one of these with a VTEC beating heart. The fn2 is the best daily GT for the money.
I own one. As a whole car, not just performance, its a much better car than people claim. Its way more rounded than a EP3, its way more usable day to day so you get to enjoy the car more, and you still have many features than make your life easier without them getting in the way.
Again where these cars really shine, faultless lap, zero temperature fluctuations, finished lap with more fuel than it started with, and had its neck absolutely rung the entire time. Cannot fault Honda's engineering. You could absolutely see the need for an LSD throughout this whole lap though. Even with the good tyres the Open Diff FN2 aren't kind to more than ~10-15kw more than stock.

I had a 1.4 2010 5 door Civic NOTHING like a TypeR but I did take it on a track and the car did exceptionally good..The Vtech engine even though only 1.4 really pulls in all gears 👍
As a 2010 Fn2 GT owner this makes me very happy. Im on my 2nd one now, they are so under rated, better the a ep3 all day for me as ive owned both. Ep3 is old and it feels old, fn2 is just better place to be, mines been kflash tuned, 4.5k vtec, i take, exhaust, coilovers, rays wheels the lot goes so good and has lsd.
I picked up an FN2 in a swap deal a few months ago. Been a semi-quiet Honda and VTEC fanboy for years, and although I never would've bought this car outright, I can happily say it's one of the best cars I've ever owned. It may be the "least desirable" Type R, but you can't deny the K20, the short ratio 6sp, the lightweight short wheelbase, it's bucket loads of fun at all speeds. P.S. mine is for sale, so hopefully the values go up after this video :D
VSA stands for Vehicle Stability Assist. It helps to keep cars handling correctly during cornering, particularly if the system's sensors detect understeer or oversteer. It's especially useful when different wheels have different amounts of grip, a situation that would normally lead to skidding or plowing.

Bought an EP3 with 250.000 miles (400,000km) as a cheap track day car. Thought I would drive it until it blew up, but despite constant redlining it never did.
VTEC' . And you are not supposed to just play with it. The flashpro standard map is too rich and needs to be custom tuned on a dyno to give everything it got.
@@golf1diesel luckily it's a durable engine and can handle abuse. I got a datalog from someone who supercharged their k20 and was running it on a basemap for months... WOT AFR was 17.0! I couldn't believe he hadn't blown the engine. For the datalog i asked for a 3rd gear pull and this fool sends me a datalog ripping it up to 120mph with that poor tune, so you know he ragged the hell out of it everywhere. One hell of an engine.

I had an FN2. I once changed from 3rd, at the redline, and caught second instead of fourth by accident and put 11k + rpm on the motor. And nothing happened. It’s a monster of an engine. I quite miss mine, sounded very much like this one

Yep, it is so reliable. I supercharged mine at 45k miles. It has 150k miles on it now and it is a great engine. I haven't even had to touch it. My belt is overdue by many tens of thousands of miles so it slips above 6k rpm now... That's on the to do list for spring, along with other basic maintenance.
I am in America and have been out of the Honda game for years. Have 3 Subarus now. When the FN2 Type R came out it spoke to me. Then I found out we were not getting it here. Booooooo! As soon as it turns 25 I am importing one.
The 8th Gen civic si is better in almost every way than the fn2 type r Canada got them already and they're pretty overrated when the real deal fd2 exists
I've bought a FN2 as a daily less than a year ago, 16k miles on it since I've had it, Redlined Daily and it hasn't skipped a beat. In my opinion, FN2 is the best Fun practical daily you can buy on the UK market right now It might well be one of the worst Type-Rs but for £2000, K20, Nice design and extremely practical. What more can you ask for?
Top Gear has a lot to answer for in the UK, slagging a lot of perfectly good (not great, just good!) performance cars in the 00's. I like these, the looks have aged well and are plenty quick enough for an everyday car. Don't have to have 300bhp plus and a sub 5 second to 62 time to be fun and usable. Great car 👌

As you can see, you dont always need HUNDREDS of horsepower and turbos to have fun and smile. Just a reliable n/a that redlines at 8.5 k rpm

I have the fg2 07 civic si an it came with lsd. Wounder y the fn2 didn't.
Wavetrac LSD, eibach springs with fast road setup or full suspension and FRS and it's already a lot better
the last FN2 models (2010) came with LSD.

That can only happen if you bypassed the rev limiter via flashpro or different engine management system..
