Chartham Hatch Level Crossing

  • Two Class 375s in new and old Southeastern liveries respectively pass at this remote crossing just off of the A28 in the North Downs, heading to Canterbury East and Selling. Train horns can be heard at Chartham crossing the other side of the A28, my local road, just before the second closure. This crossing is on a narrow road south of Chartham Hatch and north of Chartham. The ground is completely chalk in this area and there is a footpath parallel to the road here for no reason, apart for being a tip. The crossing though seems to be the only updated thing here, although one of the 'Another train coming' signs has been vinyled wrong. Silly workers.
