Thank you for the recipe!! I am a young girl so i don't cook like a proffesional and do not have expensive stuff, and this helped me out alot! My family loves it! Thank you

hiii! i saw this comment after 2 years, its been so long. i got into cooking, i find it my passion and hobby. im now 15 years old and cook for my family very often. channels like yours helped me grow ❤️
I made potato soup years back and then forgot how to made it but the taste remains... Finally i found a desired recipe I'm searching for years.... Lot to say but least is I'm gonna cook it today for sure.... Highly thankful
Thanks for this recipé. I work wonders when it comes to my potato soup. People don't like the word "soup" because it sounds like a cheap meal, so I always call it Vichyssoise (vi· shee· swaaz). Vichyssoise is nothing but potato soup with puréed onions. I always use peeled yukon gold potatoes or russets and then add chopped bacon, parmesan cheese, chopped celery, green onion and dried rosemary. Everybody loves it.
Ohh that sounds yummy. I love potato soup it’s a pretty heavy soup if you want to skip dinner😆. But yea adding all these other ingredients gives a twist to it. I have to try it with more onions. I am not a fan of bacon. Thank you for sharing! 😊💕
Help me out here, Alan. After getting inspired by leeks and potato soup, I tried to make it today. Since you cannot find leeks where I live, I substituted them for green onions. After cutting them in chunks, I sauted them in some oil- no butter since I was making for my mum. Anyway, soon after I added in my garlic and before it could turn brown, i dumped in some diced potato. While those potatoes developed a crust, I strained in some vegetable stock(made it with some bay leaves, rosemary, leftover green parts of onions and garlic). This whole mix was cooked for over 40 minutes. After blending (what looked like a delicious soup) I added some fresh cream, salt, white pepper and red chilli powder. Unfortunately, it tasted bland. Like have you ever had such a bad cold you could taste your own savory mucus at the back of your throat? It was something similar. I have never had such a soup before...so I don't know how it should taste like lmao. Should I sweat some red onions aswell and skip the vegetable stock and go with plain water? Maybe add in some mushrooms? 😅
@@karandev9316 My Mum used to make Vichyssoise & we found it was nicer served hot, she used canned potato soup & i assume you can buy Leek soup if you want too, chopped ham, celery, onions, heavy cream & milk & seasoning to taste including cayenne pepper, it never tasted bland. A definate comfort food for me.
Here's a little tip, boil the potatoes in a broth (chicken or vegetable), it adds so much more flavor to the soup. Plus, this allows you to cut back on the unhealthy milk and/or cream, while still retaining the same creaminess.
I just made this but I added a few more seasonings and it was out of this world, my entire family loved it. Thank you so much for this recipe it's really helpful.
My toddler liked the soup even though he doesn’t have appetite to eat mostly. so thanks for recipe. I used whipping cream a lot more than the milk n added dried italian spices
Love bread milk ,an sugar. When I was a little girl mom would make it.now a days people don't know about things back in the day. Good an cheap. Hope you have a nice thanksgiving.luv joyce
Joyce Mccombs I don’t know about bread milk as well. That’s interesting..Yes things changes so fast but can’t beat grandma’s cooking!! They say old is gold for a reason😊 Happy thanksgiving to you too! 🙏🏼
Highly recommend this recipe 👍👍 I made it and turn out beautifully. Soup is super creamy and potato smell fantastic with butter and milk. It’s a very winter soup and home flavour. Warms you up and comfort your heart. *with the same amnt of potatoes, I only use 4Tbsp of butter and 1 Cup of water and 1 1/2cup of milk With 5-6 cloves of garlic and many black pepper and 2 tsp of chicken powder for seasoning Instead of using parsley and onion leaves, I use dried mixed herbs (ready to use packaging ) and fresh coriander

this is perfect!! i've had a sore theoat for a few days now, and i've been craving some scorching hot potato soup. i love this recipe because it's very simple and affordable! i decided to add some other veggies and it definitely satisfies 😄🤍
this looks so good! i'll be trying it later on tomorrow once i get ahold of some potatoes. anyway, thanks for sharing your recipe, i'll try to give an update once i've tried it!
After the potatoes are done and cooked all the way could add cream instead did milk also could you leave it in the pot add cream/milk and use a immersion blender instead of the other blender?
"Inca no mezame potatoes". You deep fry them straight into cooking oil without any batter. You don't boil the inca no mezames... once the deep frying is done, you toss them into a stew. You peel and cut that variety of potatoes, that is the recipe I use when I make cream stew. I've been living at an apartment I rented nearby, so I brought a full pot of cream stew I made over.
Hii chefy .if used a peeled potatoes so it's effect the taste ,?....and I m from India so there isn't Italian herbs can u tell what I use for making its more flavourful please
Eisha Reena You can absolutely use peeled potatoes. It won’t harm the taste at all. You can use finely cut curry leaves to give some good aroma and taste.
great. can i replace butter with cooking oil? also can i reduce the thickness using water instead of adding more milk? i mean i will use 2¼ cups of milk but i don't want to add more milk so can i add water instead?
Halo SueRan, I have some questions. 1. What milk do you use (ordinary milk or ... ) ? 2. Is it ok if I peel the potato skin before saute ? 3. Do you use all the potato 700gr or only a half ? thank you.
I am using regular full fat milk(cow milk we drink) You can peel potatoes for sure I have used all 700g in here. You can cut it in half or adjust the quantity as prefer. This is a big portion I am making for about 6-7 people
Tried your recipe. The soup was great. My children love it. Thanks
