I am someone who developing a morning routine when I was in a college and once I started to go to work and my days are getting busy,I lost the routine. I thought I need more time but all I need is a plan. Thanks Mariana for the video, this literally save my life.
I’ve always loved the more minimalistic approach to setting a morning routine. It doesn’t have to be wake up before the sun and run 5 miles (unless that’s what wakes you up and what you like). It should be something that fills you and sets you up for a better day.
I have actually tried this 20 minute rule specifically in doing my doctoral work and working out. I have definitely seen results. It has really helped me regain focus and stability in my world, especially since I feel like I don’t have a lot of control. I have recently fallen off (due to vacations, getting sick, etc.), but I plan on getting right back into it. Thanks for this advice!
I’ve very sensitive to the idea of planning something enjoyable first thing in the morning to get the rest rolling. This may help me get out of bed faster. Thank you Mariana, I need to try these. I wake early but struggle to do things, maybe because I want to incorporate too much too fast. Very interesting
I love the weekly routine option! As someone who needs to be out of the house by 7am to commute to work, multi-step morning routines have never worked out for me. I'm excited to try this method!
Awesome video! I wake up at 5 am every weekday. Twice a week I have to be at work by 6:30 so waking up at 5 am gives me just enough time to get ready and get to work. It’s so hard to do anything else. I wish I didn’t have to go in so early. I can confirm that even when I get up a 4:55, those 5 extra minutes make a huge difference. It’s hard to get up even earlier for me since I already get up so early 😂 and this shortens my time in the afternoon because I go to bed early, so I don’t have a lot of time after work. Alas, the struggle is real!
Loved the video, full of great steps to have a productive and perfect morning routine. Morning routines are really important, and I agree that it only takes simple habits which are easy to implement, to make a perfect morning routine. Keep up the good work. I love your constitency.
I used to be very stressed about my morning routine because every single day my schedule is different. Some days I start working at 7 am (have to leave home at 6 am), some others I start at 9, and some days I start at 2pm. I started focusing on only one thing, and once I had it down, I moved to another thing. But still, all the things that I would love to do first thing in the morning, I had to distribute them throught the day. So instead of a morning routine, I have a "day routine", a checklist if you will, and once it reach 80% of my list, I call it a good day. I wish I had a regular 9 to 5 job so I could have a routine 😩 😂😂
I could try to do sth I enjoy First thing in the morning. The Thing is, when my Alarm goes off in the morning, I get grumpy and don't get up until the very last minute so I can get done with the non-negotiable tasks bc one my morning-brain it doesnt make sense to do more than the bare Minimum , and I really don't like that 😅
Instead of going to bed 20 minutes earlier to get up 20 minutes earlier (and let’s be real, it doesn’t work 1:1 that way for many people), what’s wrong with doing language learning or reading, etc. in the evening instead? I know this video is about morning routines, but why? Why not just “healthy daily routines” that can be implemented when is best for each individual person? Especially for people with kids and differing work schedules; videos like this just make me feel like a failure because my mornings will never look like this. But my evenings absolutely can.

Same. I have to have something I am looking forward to, to get out of bed or else the fight to roll out of bed becomes that much harder for me. lol
