Absolutely I think with Fiskers SUEV’s and their price point which is great with provisions on maintaining a very solid customer base, loyalty and warranties being acted upon with immediacy? I think they have a fighting chance here in the United States. They need to have the dealerships on board with Fiskers customer focused policies. Customer service and follow ups are paramount.

Fisker has a BIG chance for success, but they MUST start deliveries in their promised timeframes to the costumer. Cars on the road = more sale. Otherwise people will Lose their interest caused delayed deliveries and lack of information. The fisker is a really beautiful car and very comfortable cabin, that's way better than many other companies today.
Mass production is hard.

@@hammertlmedeliveries and production go hand in hand. If they’re relying on magna for production and they’re not delivering, I doubt they’re having no issues with production. Companies with cars and a demand, deliver. Period.

@JP maintenance is much cheaper on EV no oil changes and breaks last over 100k miles. The repair costs are in line with other companies.

@JP that's what insurance is for. Insurance price is also in line with other companies. It's a 5 star safety rating. And If you look at the rear it has plastic which is the most common spot to get rear ended making it cheap to replace.

Tesla has some models under 50K, I'm hearing that the Model 3 is now under 40K and gets the $7500 rebate so then it's like $33,500.
But you’ll still be driving around the same egg car that everyone has. Ocean is sexy . Just get the sport model, way cheaper

Sure, buying the first model year of the first model from a new car company is always a great decision, as the company tries to perfect manufacturing, parts, range, features, performance, fit & finish, safety, etc. Nothing could possibly go wrong. You are one wise consumer that all companies would love to have as a customer (he said sarcastically).

I thought Fisker was part of LandRover. I remember back around 2011 Land Rover had this hybrid, solar space ship looking vehicle(the center console with various buttons) called a Fisker in their showrooms.
Land rover are owned by Tata if they haven't changed hands again.... Let alone owning fisker 😢
Yeah, Tata bought LandRover from Ford in 2008 and still own it. It's possible they had a deal with LandRover to put them in showrooms (the Karmas). 2011 was the year they began sales of the Karma, but only sold 2000. I went to their showroom in Los Angeles (the actual Fisker showroom), I would be surprised if they had one anywhere else. Henrik Fisker is CEO of Fisker Inc., but Fisker Automotive (the failed entity) was sold to a Chinese multinational that operated under the name Karma (the Fisker sportscar's name, the only vehicle they had).
Great review - Very impressed with the Fisker line, really like the solar roof idea, which would work great in Phoenix. Weigh and tire wear as well as tire quality is still a factor. I'm told by Discount time that the Tesla gets about 30K-35K miles on a set. Quality tires would be required due to the weigh so this part of owning could get expensive.

The customer will turn it in. The end of resale value and beginning of true "throwaway" transportation. Just look at power tools.

I realy do not think you belive Fisker as an ev manufacturer, It has been 14 years , and that car is their first produc. During the same 14 years Tesla has sold 4M cars. Do your bet on having 1 fisker car.
All the competition outside of Tesla is losing money on every car they make. And the bigger automotives are cannibalizing their ice sales.

Fisker had some cars here a few years ago and they just went away somehow. In the DC area they sold them at a suburban Cadillac dealership. They were cool then too.
Very beautiful car with great features and with great starting price tag ($37K). California mode is a great feature.
Fisker was trying to beat Tesla 11 or 12 years ago. But they lost out. They had a great looking EV they released in I think 2011. Second times a charm.
Read why they went under. If you've ever read a story of bad luck... It was def them. Ironically, their car that failed was called the karma. I ordered mine in 2020. It arrives next month

Whether they can scale these vehicles and actually sell them at the price stated and actually make a profit is the BIG question.

One thing about infotainment screens that are big like that is you can get distracted and get into an accident. I don't know why they make them. I miss the video cassette and CD player days.
Fisher has turned out to be a less than ideal vehicle.
Amazing how many “influencers” are good as an extension of a car companies but ultimately rather poor when it comes to a meaningful review of a product.
Now that Marques has actually done a REAL review with facts and proof, this brand is pretty much finish.
It has a ton of features that are pretty unique to it that you didn't mention. I think it's one of the most beautiful vehicles being made now.

will sound an alert and begin to apply the brakes, usually I'm already on the brakes though
but it's a pretty good system.
I think the movies are there to entertain you while you wait 2 hours for a charge.

Lightyear already halted their production for being way too costly. It was the 2005 (most gorgeous and compact) AM V8 Vantage that Henrick Fisker designed w/ Ian Callum.
I highly doubt those Fisker prices will ever be achievable.. there will be a lot of cost cutting compromises in features if they were to implement it. I think in reality it will double or more.

@dforrest4503 they went bankrupt the first time because their battery manufacturer that was own by Chrysler, A123 systems, went out of business...can't sell an EV without a battery. Had nothing to do with sales, design, or quality. That's why the same car is still being built and sold 11 years later

Tesla could be in trouble with byd nio and Li now fisker. Tesla will have to keep up that engineering up and hope BYD does catch up. At the moment, it will just be another car company and what you think can happen to that market cap. But we will see.

design really good. then more competition then better EV. rather then only Tesla
hmm gonna go with the Toyota Stout Hybrid when it comes out, cause there's no infrastructure in place for travelling with EVs across North America, like with combustion and hybrids.
From what I have seen concerning first model years of vehicles and new generations of toyotas, I'd wait until the 2nd or 3rd year of the Toyota Stout (unless you buy a robust extended warranty to cover unforeseen problems).
I have a 2017 Tacoma, it's the second model year of the 3rd gen tacomas. It has a problem that Toyota knows about (plastic coolant transfer tube on the very back of the engine that cracks and leaks), and I paid $1800 to fix it, as there was no way for a shade tree mechanic to fix it. I love this pickup, but I had no idea it had problems. I should also expect an oil leak around the timing chain cover if what everyone else is saying comes true. It won't kill the tacoma, but I cannot stand oil leaks.
regarding recent firing of CFO's:
i suspect powers that be within the company had a disagreement with the CFO as to the content of his filing information and rather than file it as it was written decided to delay the filing and fire the CFO. then hired another CFO that also wanted to file the previous financial report or refused to file one the "powers that be" had prepared for the new CFO. and eventually had to file that one too.
i can't help but think if the above is true (and it may NOT be true) that the true financial report is or would be devastating to the company's stock price.

My primary problem with switching from Tesla is using the Chargepoint network for trips. Chargepoint does not seem reliable. The Tesla network is reliable and easy to use. You just plug it in, and it works (no apps, accounts, or charging levels to worry about). Once that is fixed, I would gladly leave Tesla due to Elon Musk (who is not even a founder of Tesla).
Range or charging speeds need to improve drastically before I would consider buying

@@SullyOrange that's not the point of the swivel. It's to watch movies while you are waiting around to pick up your kid from whatever. Vertical mode arguably works better in map mode so that is why the default is vertical.

It’s luxury with a decent price tag. Ultra is 49k and has a range of 360 miles. Not including the added miles from the solar roof. I saw this in person at the LA auto show. Stunning!
