I got the cushion version of this and quite liked it, the cushion has spf 50 and is really dewy, I have to powder it afterwards to avoid looking too dewy

Stromboli has golden undertones and it would work as well but it would look almost overly yellow on me at this time of year since I lean yellow/neutral beige. I would also need to mix with the lighter currently as well.
This was my exact question!! Stromboli is just a smidge dark for me but if I Mix it with Fiji it matches perfectly and I can customize throughout the year:) We are usually foundation sisters( I maybe slightly more yellow in tone) so thank you for this review Sam!

You're my closest shade match on RUclips, cause u got that Asian yellow skin lol, my closest shade is stromboli BUT its a tad bit deep though perfect undertone
OPINION NEEDED: I've really been enjoying mixing this foundation with the all day weightless luminous! It helps me because I'm between shades and YELLOW/GREEN AS HECK. (Stromboli in ADWL and Gobi in this new one) but it's really transfer-y and I'm wondering if anyone has a setting powder recommend that doesn't look cakey on texture?

Kawneki I tried Laura Mercier Silk Foundation for dry skin, and it was terrible.
I didn't like it one bit. It emphasized dry patches on my skin. Too powdery for me.
ZJ ZJ I actually tried a sample of the new Laura mercier foundation and I have extremely oily skin and it just broke down so bad in a few hours on my skin 😫

Hi Sam! How does it compare to All Day Luminous? I have normal-dry skin, and I even found that one moat likely to seperate and look cakey after few hours.
Annetta Darandri They test on animals if youre looking for longwear cruelty free try Becca's ultimate luminous creme. That one is really underrated and they just tweaked their formula so, it actually performs better.
I had trouble with Nars (not the sheer glow I havent tried that one) because it was extremely watery. The water would separate from the pigment and I beliebe that's why people complained about separation and breaking. It also transfers really bad. If you out your hand on your face your handprint is now there. I returned that foundation the first day of use it was THAT terrible.

I noticed a difference in my new sponge as well! I was disappointed.

BANKSlove yeah I was kinda like... hmmm 🤔 it’s like, even though the foundations CLEARLY go dark to light you still said they went light to dark just in reverse? This is low key how racism subtly sneaks into our subconscious. Like dark was on top and you still started with light.
Totally agree. It's sad we are so used to the lighter shade being at the top. Jackie Aina noted how Nars made it go dark to light in this package and she was low key happy even though it wasn't that big of a deal but the fact that people's brains start from the lightest kind of shows that maybe it is important.

I’m torn between the NARS Natural Longwear, the Bobbi Brown Skin Longwear and the YSL all hours.
I have oily skin with dry patches on areas I have some pimples.
I want something that doesn’t look to heavy and cakey but still on point coverage and lasts throughout the day!!
This is so crazy just watched another review on it and the girl in started her flash photography and it didn't have any flashbacks you actually look like the darker areas appeared more vibrant honestly there hasn't been a foundation I've seen yet that you have reviewed that made your face look any less than perfect!

Never been a fan of any NARS foundations. They never last long enough for me. When you said “tacky” and “it transferred”, I was clearly not interested. Plus, they started testing on animals. 👎🏼 On a positive note, I LOVE and TRUST your foundation reviews. Thank you.❤️

I don't have the means to go out and purchase two foundations just to mix them, who has? It makes it harder too get an idea of the shades because you didn't do a swatch test on your face. The arm swatches were VERY confusing. I don't have a Sephora near me I can only go of the website and tutorials.
