Ce petit Norvégien de 13 ans a un don totalement exceptionnel.
Outre la pureté rt la justesse de sa voix, à la fin du morceau, il monte à l'octave supérieure, ce qui est une performance vocale inouïe.
Ses vocalises sont purement exceptionnelles.
Je m'en rends d'autant mieux compte que je faisais partie de la chorale des Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois en tant que soliste.

Indeed I think you are right the Exultate isn't sung as often as it should, I sang it when I was a schoolboy at Douai Abbey school back in 1937 - 38, then everything changed the year later when war was declared!

Me and my son absolutely love this song he sings along every time and is now learning it with his singing teacher
Aksel performed this with such genuine cheerfulness and joy. He achieved impeccable pure sounding soprano tones and trills , seemingly effortlessly and gracefully produced . This was a wonderful accomplishment ! (This is one of my favorite arias.)

I taught this piece to my children's choirs. They loved it! Could sing it by heart. When their parents heard them singing Mozart at home, they were duly impressed. Kids are amazing! Challenge them and they will deliver!
Children rise or fall to the expectations of their parents/teachers. My children’s choir (K-8) could sing crisp unison, two part harmony, and three part rounds. When we went to our archdiocesan choral fest, out of 21 areas for adjudication, we got 3 Very Goods. The rest of the marks were all Excellent.

As I said before, love your trebile voice. Look forward to hearing more of you as a baritone. Just love your rendition of Exultate Jubilate, especially the pentultimate note. The only other one I have heard reach that note was Denanna Durban, and that what was on an old 78 rpm acetate record in my pre-teens. Take care and best wishes from Australia.

Absolutely astounding. Divine and so sweet a young man. Extremely hard to sing but you make it seem easy! Always delivering great news with a lit up face, authentic expression and free natural vibrato. Never over confident like many singers with half your talent.
Aksel, many trebles sing this piece, but no other can give it the sensibility, the emotions like you can.
Highest ranking from me. While his voice is marvellous, I also give kudos to the excellent orchestra and the conductor for an era appropriate tempo.

What is the voice, wow!
Brings tears to my eyes every time I hear his voice (from a 73 old former boy soprano) never in the same league as the wonderful Axel God bless him and his future exploits. Than pentilimute not in Mozart's Alleluia - I have only heard one other singer achieve that, and that was Deanna Durban on an old 78RPM acetate record in my early life, but not as good as his gloriousness. Love his smile at the end. Some may say it's smug, but whatever, he has all the right in the world to display it.
The voice of an angel, is Aksel Rykkvin. And Mozart was a gift from Heaven. His short life was brilliant.

What I appreciate in a boy soprano voice (as a chorister formany years), is the much mellower tone than found in female soprano voice.
As they age, boys acquire stronger lung power, but only for a very short period, before voice change.
Excellnt presentation with feeling; a real pleasure to watch and listen to.
