You answered me in 2017, when my father, who was called Mozart, was very ill.
He passed away shortly afterwards, but every time I hear you singing, I feel him close to me.
Thank you so much for the support you gave me at that time.

@@romypie3725 Thanks a lot for your warm and encouraging words. After 4 bouts of chemo I am doing okay according to my Professor of Oncology. Still 4 more months to go. With treatment and the prayers of many who love and respect me I hope to make it through. Your empathy towards my state of health is an extra bonus for my well-being.

I have listened and loved several performances of this magnificent composition. However, I must say that this one is by far the most sublime and transcendant interpretation I have ever heard. Aksel is a great Master in his field. The choir and the orchestra are just perfect for such a great soloist. Thank you for sharing so much and giving so much. @@zachuram It's called growing up. His voice wasn't going to be a soprano for ever. It would be either a tenor or baritone. With the proper training and the knowledge how to use his voice correctly and wisely, he will have a fantastic future as an operatic baritone, should he choose that path.

When Aksel hits that first run, I get a tear in my eye every time I hear it.
I just hope that Aksel, with all his talent, gets to be a normal kid too. So many kids with talent especially at so early an age, are pushed to the point that they're burnt out before they hit their teenage years.
I agree with you but luckily that's not the case here. Ansel's parents and Aksel himself have all said his focus on singing is his choice. He's now 19 and attending the Royal Academy of Music in London.

I remember when I was a treble, I performed the Laudate Dominum with a large Orchestra and Choir. I got so terrified. Right now, listen to this just brought so much memory of this.

It is hauntingly beautiful, soaring, the notes drifting effortlessly , hanging in the air filling all who hear with the beauty of you voice and a memorial to Mozart who had to know that one day you would perform this. This does not mean that the work originated with a Catholic however, rather that it originated with King David, whose works as a pre-Christian Jew were incorporated into the Catholic liturgy as was appropriate once the Church was instituted. To say that the beauty and truth of Judaism is contained in this piece would be pointless since Judaism is now pointless. I suppose that I could have used the past tense, but that would be silly since I was showing the link between the psalm and the reality to which it pertains, a reality which is no longer embodied by Judaism, which ran its course two millennia ago.

Gods, Laudate Dominum. Back when I was a young soprano this use to be my solo in choir. His very good. I don't think I could have done better when I was a soprano.
