No idea why this appeared among my recommended videos; I usually watch forensic science documentaries; Baroque and Classical keyboard concerti; and symphony performances. Yet I *AM* impressed! It is a shame this young man will lose his soprano-like voice at puberty, but his poise, pitch control, breathing techniques--they’ll always likely be with him. Lovely
Breath-takingly beautiful. One of the few versions in which every word is clearly sung and pronounced. Latin: Laudate Dominum omnes gentes - laudate Eum omnes populi. Quoniam confirmata est super nos misericordia eius - et veritas Domini manet in aeternum. Gloria Patri, et Filio et Spiritui Santo, sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper - et in saecula saeculorum. Amen. English: Praise the Lord, all nations - praise Him, all people. For He has bestowed His mercy upon us - and the truth of the Lord endures forever. Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and forever - and for generations of generations. Amen.

I do hope that biology is kind to you and you can take the skills you so obviously have forward into a stunning adult career. And seriously, what in Welsh water or whatever, that keeps producing vocal talent like this?
Agreed - do you remember Aled Jones as a boy soprano? When he matured, it developed into an attractive light tenor. He has made innumerable albums as an adult (in the UK)
I don't think it is in the water. I rather suspect it is helped by the good Welsh mountain air - and their traditions that encourage and appreciate real singing!

I put my comment here since I can't do it on your recording.
May God bless you for all the happiness you bring us.
👏👏👏👏
what a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing :) i wish i could hear your singing, God Bless
I can't imagine the hours of work that went into this from everyone. Incredible voice and pitch control. Stunning.
Почему нас лишают мировой культуры,а только Алка со своей шайкой звучит из каждого утюга?

Ora posso dire che ho sentito un angelo cantare ! La purezza della voce tocca il cuore e l'anima .
Lovely
I don't think I will ever tire of hearing this.
Just beautiful...tears flowing. One of my favorite hymns and the girls performed it beautifully.
Umm, do you mean the adult women? Because the only child in the room is a boy. He very clearly looks like a boy no hate.👀
Breath-takingly beautiful. One of the few versions in which every word is clearly sung and pronounced.
Latin:
Laudate Dominum omnes gentes -
laudate Eum omnes populi.
Quoniam confirmata est super nos misericordia eius -
et veritas Domini manet in aeternum.
Gloria Patri, et Filio et Spiritui Santo,
sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper -
et in saecula saeculorum.
Amen.
English:
Praise the Lord, all nations -
praise Him, all people.
For He has bestowed His mercy upon us -
and the truth of the Lord endures forever.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and forever -
and for generations of generations.
Amen.
Hallelujah!
I agree with you; pronunciation is excellent and not at the expense of beauty/musicianship.
Thank you.
I would never have known this, were it not for you.
Much appreciation from California U.S.A.
Thank you
I thank you for your kind comment.@@beetlejump
Beautiful... This makes me believe again in "this too will pass". Goosebumps, Cai, thank you... Also to the musicians, excellent
My grandfather would start the New Year with this hymn, and the whole family would join in …I love this hymn!
A true blessing during this extremely difficult time in the world ...
I now feel free and relaxed after listening to a little angel who delicately took me by the hand, slowly lifted me into the sky with him, and then gently deposited me on a little cloud. His voice was so pure, crystalline, and harmonious that my soul was overwhelmed by a sweet and warm light, peace, and happiness.
This young man, in this performance, is so stunning in both aesthetic and technique for his age it's hard to imagine. I spent many of my younger years in voice lessons and I can imagine Cai going back and cherishing this performance long into his future career in voice. How inspiring and exquisite, congratulations Cai and to anyone that supported him in his efforts and challenges leading up to this recording.
That voice is pure pure pure heaven - the choir accompanied him to perfection. Thank you
!
I think there id an alien organization who spend all their time giving thumbs down to the most beautiful music on the planet...this made my heart swell.
Amen to that... you called it, it makes me wonder 'what do they actually like?'
@LL 53 : Some people like both. The world is a *little bit* wider than you think.
Ha ha, it does seem so - and right now that number of dislikes is at "666".
This is so beautiful 😊 his vocals are a gift to the world this made me cry from a 60 years young Irishman fan 😊
So amazed by this boy's pitch and pronunciation. I love how he uses his vibrato so sparingly, unlike so many older singers who have to lean heavily on their vibrato to make up for their lack of strength and pureness of tone. This kid is overflowing with all the wonderful qualities of a great singer-so much fun to listen and watch.
This is what instantly drew me in...the perfect use of vibrato.
So beautiful…and a voice from heaven 🙏👼🙏
wow. what a wonderful recording. perfect tempo... no messing. lovely voice, with vibrato to a minimum. wonderful
Crystal clear tones in the high register and lovely airy lower range.....like cream flowing over the moving parts....so blessed by him! Just beautiful.
NOBODY sings better than The Welsh. It's in the DNA. It's in the blood. It's in the soul.
❤😢🎉
True. Welsh converts started the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
And hard work...
A divine gift sadly taken away by nature, all too soon.
Oh!! So beautiful!! He sounds like an Angel; it makes my heart ache…❤
I have just listened to this most beautiful boy's voice. What a way to begin my Sunday morning- there is joy and light in the world. Thank you.
Beautiful voice! Even though it is temporary, even when his voice changes it will still be a beautiful voice. He is blessed.
Heavenly is the only way I can describe this young man's voice; like an angelic voice...
Simply amazing performance! Perfect pitch! So talented. Thank you for sharing this. Just beautiful ❤
Oh my goodness! What an angelic little man with an angelic voice to match. No I know what Heaven is going to be looking and sounding like. Magnificent. Cai certainly has the ability and talent to lift one's spirits to another dimension.
All I can say is Wow, kid. I have heard a lot of boy soprano's in my years, and have even hired on for one of my recordings but, Wow! Your control is amazing.
Welsh are like that.💕
I don't think it is in the water. I rather suspect it is helped by the good Welsh mountain air - and their traditions that encourage and appreciate real singing!

Welsh is the language of heaven hence the angelic voices
What a gift ot heaven! It uplifteth a despairing soul 🙌
Simply magnificent September 2024🎉🎉
I can never stop seeing and hearing Cai Thomas singing Mozart's Laudate Dominum and all the other pieces that he sang so beautifully and lovingly. Thank heavens we have these outstanding videos and his exquisite àlbum 'Seren ' to treasure forever ! I wish there could be a DVD of all his videos! I am so looking forward to the time we hear from him again, with his new voice! Well done for all of it, Cai and your team! I 🎇🎆♥️✨
Angelic voice that heals the world🙏♥️🙏
What a lovely clear angelic voice not at all forced .I think he is much better they a lot of singers.💐👼👼 well done keep singing and making people very happy.Thankyou for your wonderful voice.
What a Voice of Greatbritain! - What a Voice of great Wales! absolutly great!
Excellence from the first note: phraseology, voice control and color. I like this.
Thanks 🙏
I'd like to think that Cai sings the way angels did in biblical stories. His voice is light, delicate in a way, but strong at the same time, because it carries far, which shows how perfect Cai's singing technique is.. What a delight hearing him sing in praise of God.I wish him well.Thank you ,Cai.It was a privilege hearing you sing.
Thank you 😊
@@caithomas2787 Dear Cai, I enjoyed your singing very much and I meant every word I wrote,. I also think that you are a wonderful person, so I wish you a safe and happy life in good health :-)
Outstanding performance truly heartbreakingly beautiful. This boy truly is singing in another realm and for a few moments we glimpse heaven
Without wishing to appear maudlin, I have arranged to have this played at my funeral. This particular recording just touches the heart.
Oh my.. this boy can sing. Beautiful voice.
I can never hear and watch enough of this absolutely exquisite video of Cai Thomas putting his heart and soul into his performance of Mozart's Laudate Dominum, with the beautiful orchestra and çhoir, and the very dedicated Rob Lewis holding it all together! What a team! And what a joy to see and hear Cai singing with so much love and skill, and exceptional beauty, in all his recordings and videos. Thank you for all the joy you bring to the world!♡♡♡♡♡🙏💖
This is beautiful. I’ll never understand how anyone can “unlike” something like this on RUclips. Apparently they don’t get it. I’m a vocalist myself and I love to support others in this business. ❤️🎶
Maybe we're tired of the over glorification of boys.
Perhaps they do not 'like' anything that hints of Church music or the Divine...
@@carmenpeters728 That's an absurd comment! Boys aren't glorified in the first place! If you had any idea how much work went into producing that sound, you wouldn't say that. Now, if you were to say that girls are *under* glorified, I would be in complete agreement!!
Brook Eggleston exactly. I hate obnoxious comments that have nothing to do with the subject matter. She’s just being a troll. ❤️
Well, look at it this way: I know people who think Bob Dylan is a proper poet. So lots of people don't get things.
This brought back memories of singing this as a child at a concert. I’m in my thirties now.
What a wonderful voice.
