The kid is incredible. Wonderful voice, perfect singing and one gets the feeling that he is completely utterly unflustered and in total control of the orchestra and the conductor. An old soul in a young body.

I thought the best young singers were Jackie Evancho, Charlotte Church, Aled Jones .... until I heard this guy. This is the most perfect and highly skilled voice of them all. Perfect music. Sublime.

I liked the way the trumpeter and Aksel interacted. I felt very secure in the team effort. I know the aria well enough to have trepidation at the most challenging bits. Both soprano and trumpet are very exposed. This was so enjoyable. The little blip at the end didn't matter. It was part of real performance, not cut and paste recording session. And the reactions are priceless!

Wow. They both did so well! That kind of trumpet is obviously a tough one! It's characteristics can change as it's played. Aksel is just flawless and sounds like a pure instrument.
I could listen and watch this young singer all day every day....one in a million and I have heard this piece so many times but this is the first time it has been sung properly and so beautifully...well done!!
Some things are so beautiful I find a point where pain meets pleasure and I have to limit how often I listen because of what the exquisite sound does to my nerve endings.
Aksel has this maturity above his years that some singers never find. It seems to me that for him it is the music and the song that are important, not him, or even his performance.
Aksel, you appear to have a genuine humility, I hope that you never take your voice for granted but thank God for it, and I thank God that you use your talent for the benefit of the rest of us.

I can only imagine the hours of vocal training and practice that went into being able to have given a performance like this one. And it is holding Aksel in good stead now that his voice has changed.
Why is the audience so calm after this excellent performance? There should be at least a standing ovation and many, many "Bravo! Bravissimo!"

It's not a pop concert. Sometimes appreciation can be restrained so that the audience can enjoy the moment.
Absolutely controlled excitement and appreciation can be much more powerful. Also Norway like many of the Scandinavian Countries are more reserved.

He is loved forever. We made the journey with him . Know every song he ever sang. He is legend forever..
This brings back memories of my boy soprano career, and the feeling of going to bed every night knowing it could all be over when I wake up. The footsteps of adolescence we always right behind. I wanted to grow up and be a man, but I knew it also meant the end of all that attention. I got through it. For many, their life is over at age 14.

The year is 2024, and I'm still his biggest listener.Greatness is just around the corner. A mistake. He's already great. Probably the greatest boy soprano of the 20th century. Now that he's baritone, the field is open.My dream is he can eclipse the late great Pavarotti somewhere down the line.
