Calculating PI In Terraria

In this video i use terraria to calculate one of the most well known mathematical constant. PI can be calculated using a single bomb, using the radius and the total amount of blocks affected.

spawn dreadnautilus, record it moving in a straight line and measure its speed, stand still until it does the orbiting attack and use its now known speed (in tiles/pixels per second) to see how long it takes to do a full circle around the player, solve for circumference with that information, use the same distance metric to measure the radius of the orbit, then finally use the formula C = 2πr to solve for pi!

I was going to actualy use the holy hand grenade on the 3ds to get pi but for whatever reason i didn't. Mabye next year though.

Yo-yos make pretty nice circles if you orbit them around you at max length, that could work if you figured out how to measure them

Someone did that, and calculated pi to 100 digits, I'm just not smart enough to do it my self though

Thanks, and yea, original i did explain it better, but i decided on removing it because it slowed down the video and explaining it took too long. But mabye next time I'll explain my idea better.

Idk if this is good advice but maybe get away from bombs or even circles in general. Maybe try euler's constant for one of terraria's formulas.

Euler's constant would be fun to do however i don't think there is any any way to calculate it without using calculus which i don't think shows up anywhere in terraria
